Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

Stupid question: what would happen if I put recharge in my water and let it sit for a few hours before watering, would it help break things down so it can be used faster? The only reason I ask is because I'm medicated and thought that would help spread it out and use a second gal of water to help push it down into the soil more and spread out.

as long as you dissolve one serving of recharge at a time and give all of it to one plant you would get the same result as top dressing it.

if you try to make a soup feed several plants at a time you will have trouble all around because the heavier rocks will be at the bottom of the bucket and will not be distributed equally.

the product is designed to be top dressed.

Naw, just one at a time. I'm just trying to make sure it all gets where it needs to go.

In later runs of the soil I would recommend against it.

Thanks Curso (the chef) I had a feeling about that. I've been trying to germ them in second run soil that's been fed extra roots and clippings....way too hot ,obviously.....now I know. Maybe we should start telling everyone about this as I lost a lot of money and time trying second run ,juiced up soil! In the past I used straight first run or straight Pro Mix with near 100% success.Live and learn. Gang, please take note of this as it's such a pain when high priced beans bite the dust. Better to use straight pro mix w/a little roots as Curso says. Thanks again Curso!:Namaste::high-five:

Doc, how does Ammonium Nitrate behave( is it growth or reproduction) in HB soil, being made up of both forms of N?
Why are the chloride salts of Mg and Ca not good for soil?
Thank you!

From my HB notes (re. Cat Drench copy/paste):

...highly favors reproductive growth and provides cations and the ammonia form of nitrogen, which strongly stimulate fruiting and flowering, as well as seed production.

I was reading about Epsom salts just now (still new here) and was wondering if you apply it as a top dress or as a foliar with HB?
