I'll email. Man I've been using epsom salts every mag supplement on the market and it's the same thing. I've been growing long enough that I figured I'd have solved this but nope. It's outright crazy. Hydro just does better off my cuttings anyhow. I'm curious if it may be genetic.
It very well could be! Pheno's are chosen based on how they perform, and people growing in hydro are naturally going to choose pheno's based on performance....which soon turns into strains, etc.
I think with the extra calcium and low potassium you might solve the mag issue....but you'll still want to add some Epsoms for those Chemdawg/OG types.
Doc, my experience with the cup has been to get around those in the business who are growing and producing just to see how high the bar really is....it's staggering, actually. It gives one a sense of perspective as to how your product compares. Sounds like you are pleased and that is a good thing. Welcome back, you made us all proud and we were all with you in spirit.

That's exactly what I did....sought out the folks who quietly go about their business and consistently grow the best. I acquired some very nice seeds from BOG, who has always been one of my heroes. I'm looking forward to growing some of his stuff, as it looks like it will do very well in my soil.
After meeting, greeting, listening, etc. (but no smelling) I came away feeling quite comfortable with the quality of my produce as compared to the legends......but again, I couldn't smell a damn thing.
I'm definitely on the right track and will continue to work to improve. I can't wait for the damn lab results! They said middle of the week....which in stonerese means early next week.
I met he and his wife at the Seattle CC last Sept (My first stop). Smoked with the both of them and grabbed some seeds. If fact, the Sour Strawberry I am currently growing came from that encounter.
Patience is a virtue, Doc, and I ain't got none.....kind of how I feel growing with your kit....my plants are happy and manage themselves...it's like watching paint dry....and it'll be 4 more weeks until harvest......I'm just sayin'

The purple stuff is all getting harvested this week, along with 2 of the 3 Afghans. Then I'll put Lemon Paki and Champagne under the LED's and see what happens.

Anyone know how the judging works, i'm curious now that I see how many strains there are. It would take me a month or two to properly evaluate all of those. It's not like you're going to be able to tell what did what from the second one on unless you had enough time for the last one to wear off plus the first one of the day is always the best
