I just checked twiffer and HT has announced the top three in each category.. Doc didn't place in the top three.:scratchinghead:

Like posted every year it gets tougher we got lucky last year we only had a percentage of the entries they had. He had alot of rough competition still a great showing. Makes me super nervous about September! Great job doc your stuff is very amazing looking and I'm sure better than 99% out there.
 
It would have been damned sweet to get on the board, but I'll be very interested to hear what the overall reaction was, for a newcomer.

I'm not caught up to what everyone has been saying, but I'm back.

Had a fantastic time, met lots of cool people and saw and sampled lots of amazing weed.

RE: my entry. It looked as good or better than the competition in the display, and the competition was amazingly good. However, I can proudly say that Lemon Paki stands with distinction alongside the best I saw there.

It was my first time, and I haven't figured out what to do next time, as the entries all seemed superbly grown. I'll know more when I get my lab results, which should be very soon.

I've got to sleep. Back at ya'll tomorrow.
 
Welcome back Doc. Great job showin out at the event and entering your meds. I know for sure several of those nuggets entered took my breath away... Yours being one of them. Sorry you didn't win, but as long as you had a good time and you get something out of it to work on for next year it seems more than worth it!

HighBrix will have its heyday, until then Doc, keep doin what you're doin...

Well, no matter what the cup folks say...youre still "the man" in my book bro! Its just a matter of time thats all :) Im definitely going to the SF one in june or the one in Portland in July.
Doc, what youve always preached to us is to get better and from what ive read, youve done nothing but in the last 6 years (or so). So good sir, keep striving for perfection and Doc Buds HiBrix will be #1...although I dont need justification to know what we grow is some of the best...bottom line! :)

To the detriment of Doc's vast wealth and empire, I stand by the title of my previous post.

I'd like to at least get a couple harvests in before the whole world realizes what we are doing.

Congrats on your first showing at a CC, Doc! We're all very proud that your Lemon Paki looked as good or better than the top entries there.

From what I've experienced of your knowledge and determination, it's just a matter of time before you're standing on the winners' dais!

Sounds like you guys had a great time regardless, and I guess that is what is most important in the long run...friends meeting friends and solidifying relationships. Wish I could have been there...will most definitely try for next time. :thumb::goodjob:

The entries are all to be found on a Youtube video, if you search the hybrid entries. You can see what they all look like.

I did not have my sense of smell or my taste buds at all on Saturday...couldn't even smell weed smoke. Sunday, I got a bit of it back, but still couldn't really tell with my nose what was going on with all the totally bomb weed I saw and handled there. Others who were there can chime in, as their noses might have been working.....

But visually, my entry was looking good, and compared to all the sample jars from the various collectives and growers my entry also looked quite good.

I am so dissappointed my nose wasn't working....a tragedy really, as I was absolutely DYING to know what everything smelled like.

The lab results should be here anyday, at which time I'll definitely update, but suffice it to say that my system grows weed that seems to be right at home with the best cannabis entered in the contest and showed off at the various booths.

I just wish I could tell everyone what theirs smelled like or tasted like......but I have no friggin' idea!

Curso? Ronnie? SloTown? You guys gotta help me out....I couldn't taste a damn thing, as you know.
 
Hey Doc - Any idea why your schnoz wasn't working?
Bummer to be around all that great smoke and not be able to fully appreciate the (subtle) differences.
Oh well - at least you were there! Next year...

I got a nasty virus on Monday....was mostly over it, but my sense of smell was still off-line.
 
So doc I'm using the kit shortly on my pestilence thats in one of my journals it's og and chemdawg dominant should I just order some of your newer kit or just go with it. The other pestilence I'm using house and gardens full line even magic green foliar feed which I rarely use.

On another note I'll be trying it on my Dj short f13 plants cause no matter what I do I keep getting magnesium deficiency with every lineup I've used. An,hg,canna,dyna gro,fox farm. So maybe it's a perfect candidate for this. On a side note I've given many clones out and everyone in soil has same issue but hydro no! Is it just a soil hater or a salt hater?

Also once the pestilence starts the journey into this promise land that is high brix I'd really appreciate you high brix ner do wells to all stop buy as I'm not too familiar with this friendly growing stuff. I've been known to stress,torture,and out right be mean to my plants to get high thc and high yields I will need all of you experience

that's very interesting about the f13.....so in hydro it doesn't have the mg issue but in soil it does?

I think you might benefit from some of the salty drench....you're growing a strain that is pretty much exactly what i had in mind for it. But I really don't know, because I've not grown that one before.

I think you should definitely use the drenches on the heavy side for those strains, and probably add some Epsom Salts at the onset of bloom. Email me about the OG drench.
 
I'll email. Man I've been using epsom salts every mag supplement on the market and it's the same thing. I've been growing long enough that I figured I'd have solved this but nope. It's outright crazy. Hydro just does better off my cuttings anyhow. I'm curious if it may be genetic.
