Oh..BTW, i'm still waiting for Doc's reply from my question to him regarding the amount of amendment to use for one 'kit' or bale of PM. he has told me years ago to use 1.5 pounds per bale or 680 grams but his literature on the Zon and other places says to use less , so we'le see what he says. Either way the difference is not that much , so i would say to use 1.4 pounds ...this will ensure members who get 6 pounds (4 kits worth) will have enough at the end for that 4th batch , and not run short. cheers eh!

On the amendment thing, I remember Doc telling me it will weigh out between 1.25 and 1.5 lbs. I believe he said the weight varies with humidity. This was a while ago but that's how I remember it.

I will continue to use 1.5 pounds per bale of PM, and still order 6 pounds per order. I will be sure to order it that way , and NOT '4 kits' worth , cuz that's where the problem lies. They may not get enough for 4 X 1.5 pounds , and run short on the last 'cook'. This has happened, i must apologize , as i had completely forgotten about Doc mentioning this. reminds me I need to order first run amendment so I can cook this soil I just got done with :thumb::thanks:
 
OK,...i have just heard back from Doc. The amendment is not the same now as it was years ago. He went on to say that 20 oz. or 566 grams is the proper amount now to use for each 'kit', or bale. Cheers....Yeti....that clears things up eh....geesh,..i was sweatin there man....sakes....:passitleft:.

Pot mat'l comes in all sizes of flat sheets...from one to 7 gals.They come with a proper bottom pc. but wat i did was use two 7 gal. ones and made a bigger bottom out of 1/2 inch galv. chicken wire and i use a pc of black landscaping cloth to line the inside bottom . .just so the soil stays put.

Thanks Duggan. Ive been thinkin about switchin over to them kind of pots too...but to re-vamp the whole set-up, clones, veg, and final flowering pot, well shit that could get a little expensive. Im just regular old blue collar working stiff, and i already almost always have to argue with the misses when buting something new. So either i get rid of her (pfft, as if) or hide them so the misses dont see. But with what you have going, i think i still might be able to save a few more cents. Thanks for sharing your diy craft with us.

Nah but house of hydro sells awesome ultrasonic foggers and they can do whole house humidity if you wanted

Thanks Archi !! Those are the cats tit. Do you have one of these ? I'm wondering, how large a unit to buy? Seems like the more heads they have, the more they cost. I have 3 4x4x7 tents, in a 20ftx10ftx8ft room. It's more or less sealed. I have small window ac unit in the only window. The 2 bloom tents are exhausted into an adjoining room. Anyhow Archi, I know you're the man, when it comes to environment. I got one tent blooming from 9pm to 8am and another blooming from 9am to 8 pm. They say this mist is dry, so how does it create humidity. and does it rust metal ? I'm working with very little $$ Archi, tell me my cheapest way to raise humidity. This is something I've been living with for yrs., and now i'm going to fix it. Hopefully !!
