Sure! If you saw some traits in the BBK you'd like to preserve for future breeding OR future harvests, and especially if you don't have any more seeds, the revegging will at least allow you to keep the strain. From there you can either clone or Bonsai the re-veg.

I look forward to reading about it in your journal. Post lots of pics! :)

The BBK strain I have is clone only, so I don't have much choice if I want to keep this line going. Based on the impressive yield and overall physical appearance, I definitely want to keep the BBK train rollin at least through next season! :)

I'm planning to read up on the process tonight so don't be surprised if you see a few PMs in your inbox from me in the next week! ;)

Don't worry about photos! You know me! There will be plenty of those. ;)

QUICK UPDATE - LUCY GERMINATION ISSUE

I don't believe it! :thedoubletake:

My last Lucy seed is having a germination issue. I didn't believe I planted her upside down, but this morning I noticed her taproot growing sideways into the cube and it looks like I may have!

I moved the cube fibers from around her helmet so she wasn't growing into the side of the cube, but she's definately in a fragile state and I hope she makes it!

Here's what she looks like after I "dug her out". Notice the taproot growing sideways?

You can also see how the taproot is "kinked" where it looks like she was trying to push herself out of the cube, but ran into resistance.

Her helmet is still on and I think I got it early enough that she's not rotting in there, but hopefully she perks up and sheds it today! :wood:

QUICK LUCY UPDATE

It looks like the assistance I gave Lucy this morning is helping. You can see just six hours later, she shed her helmet and is starting to upright herself. The "yolk-sack" is still attached and since it didn't pull off easily, I just left it for now. You can also see, now that she has some exposure to the light, the stem has gone from mostly white to mostly green.

She's far from "out of the woods" yet, but I'm feeling better about her than I did this morning! :)

ANOTHER LUCY UPDATE - 3 HOURS LATER

It's been another three hours and Lucy is fighting hard and looking better. She dropped the yolk sack and is just starting to open her cotyledons. I'm thinking of trying to put her somewhere under 24/0 until she gets a little sturdier, but not sure I will be able to get that done.

Here she is as of a few minutes ago:

If you look close, you can see how the taproot was growing horizontal and she managed to right herself. Hopefully, the taproot will emerge from the bottom of the cube and not the side!

GO LUCY!!! :cheertwo:

GO LUCY!!! :cheertwo:

Right On! :thumb:

Glad she finally came around! :bravo::cheertwo::circle-of-love:

Shemight be sideways but she rising and shining thats for sure.. I would guess that this unusual sprout will help develop a strong stem since she already has to support her weight sideways. Not sure how that would be said lol. But shes on the way either way!

You might be right about that, Magic. You can see how thick her stem is already! In fact, it's already thicker than the PS seedling's stalk, and the PS is a couple weeks older. My theory was that this was because of the problems she was having pushing through the cube, and just couldn't do it without having a little "beef" on the stem.

I'm gonna try to do at least one more update on her tonight.

LUCY UPDATE - 15 HOURS AFTER CUBE SURGERY

I have to admit, I'm feeling pretty good about rescuing Lucy! :yahoo:

I have no question that, in my less experienced days as a grower (less than a year ago!), I would have lost this plant. I'm pretty proud of the fact that I've been able to give her a fighting chance and see it as an indication on how far I've come since then! :)

Just 15 hours after noticing she was growing sideways into the cube and performing some cube surgery to help her out, she's now starting to look pretty good.

Her stem is now nice & green (and thick!) and her cotyledons are starting to open so you can see her tiny first set of leaves which, so far, look healthy.

Here she is:

Thanks, GG7!

She really did most of the work - I just helped a little! :)

Actually, I did move her cube off to the side so as she was stretching for the light, she would right herself, but this girl wants to live.

With the size of that stalk, I'm hopeful she'll be a real good mother!

QUICK UPDATE

It's just over 10 hours since my last Lucy update, and I must admit, she's not looking as good as she was yesterday.

I was hoping to see her cotyledons spread wide open by now and her first leaves opening up.

Instead, her top has bent over a little, and she's still not fully open. Her first leaves are still tiny, which is giving me flashbacks of the last Lucy that turned out stunted.

The fact that she's got that thick stem is giving me some hope she won't be stunted like the last one, but I'm getting real anxious to see this girl get back to normal!

Here she is this morning:

As for the others in veg, here's the set of clones I took on Friday:

The Power Skunk seedling is vegging nicely, now, and looks healthy:

And, the older PE clone is also doing well:

Now, if Little Lucy can catch up, we'll be doing great!

EDIT: I just was closely comparing my last Lucy update photo from last night with the current one from this morning...

Actually, if you look closely, you can see there has been some decent growth in her first set of leaves.

Here's the update pic from late last night. You can see her first leaves are not even as wide as the cotyledons:

And, here's the pic I just posted where you can see her first leaves have now grown out of the cotyledons:

Maybe she's not doing as bad as I thought! :)
