DIY Stealth Cab, Hydro, LED & Multiple Strains in Small Space - Oh Boy!

yeah theres some leaves still on it, i just took all the big leaves off, all the fan leaves, besides that shes not trimmed... and now that i really look at some of the pistils on the cola some of them look green where its comin out the cola...ur absolutely right that it needs a little more time but whatever problem it has its gonna end up destroying the leaves on the cola in that time anyway, i have no idea what it is, my water is ph'ed rite, my nutes are ph'ed right, i dont know, the shit just came outta nowhere..we'll see what happens over the next couple days depending on what im gonna do...

Sorry about the AC:smokin:

Around here most of the AC guys, are dopers anyway.

Glad your stealth works though. Nothing like a few heart thumping moments! :Rasta:

Thanks, OMM...I'm sure they are all dopers here, too, but I don't have to tell you that the less people who know, the better. ESPECIALLY the one's I don't already know & trust. The last thing I need is to get robbed or blackmailed, cuz that will make the $1,000+ for the new A/C seem cheap!

Gotta give it up for the stealth, though! :)

Sorry for no pics over the last couple of days, but every time I check on the plants, I'm just trying to make sure they're not dying in this heat.

Here's the inside of the flower cab (I'm stressing over this!!!):

I'm hoping to have A/C back later tonight and will do a res change tomorrow. Here's a few more pics to hold you all over until I get things straightened out:

Thanks, WnF! I'm just glad he couldn't smell anything while he was here. It's a good sign my stealth is really stealthy. :)

I actually have a nice little update, non-related to my A/C problems right now...

I was just checking in on the plants. Earlier in the grow, when they weren't smelling as much, to get a sense of what they smelled like, I'd gently pinch one of the buds, then smell my fingers. It worked real well, so I figured I'd try it again...

When I did it this time, my fingers stuck to the bud so that I almost pulled the bud out of the cab with my hand! I peeled my fingers off, and now they're all sticky and smell quite a bit like what I always imagined heaven would smell like!

I can't wait to test this stuff, it should be really good, and I'm now anticipating some nice scissors hash from the trim! :yummy:

Very good indeed! All that sticky goodness is fun to ponder. I've become really careful when working around them. Keeping good care not touch or brush against them if at all possible. They're like magnets man.
Gotta go shave my arms, head, and eyebrows now. :laughtwo:

Your ladies look great and no worse for the wear with the temporary higher heat. Just a day at the beach. :surf:

QUICK UPDATE - NO PICS

Thanks to everyone for all the good wishes while I was stressing over the A/C. I scored a great deal today and picked up a used Trane condenser, in great condition, for $450 installed! A couple guys working for an A/C company had de-installed it from the original owner who was upgrading to a larger unit and since it was in good condition, they kept it instead of scrapping it and sold/installed it as a "side job". :slide:

Temps and humidity are on there way down! :)

Also, one of the guys came in to use the sink and look at the inside air handler. Once again, the stealth proves stealthy! I'm feeling a little better about the visitors scheduled to come a week from Thursday. By then, the odor may be much more obvious, but it wouldn't be the "end of the world" if they knew I grew, it would just be preferable to keep it secret, if at all possible.

I put some water in the freezer earlier to get it ice cold, but not frozen. I then added about 4 tsp. of H2O2 (3%) and used it to top off the res's. I figured the cold water would help a little with the temps and the H2O2 would help prevent root rot and other bacteria from forming in the res until I could do a res change tomorrow.

Once things get back to normal here, I'll be posting more pics!

hows everything been krip? hows that grow box going? chuggin along I see?

Congrats on the great deal! $450 is waaaaay better still!

The girls look as if they are so healthy that they didn't even notice :)

Glad the stealth is working, my exhaust is venting into my attic, then out the roof. Funny though, I can't smell anything outside so I stuck the duct over my jar of Ona... Went outside and couldn't even smell that  It's freaking weird, but I'll take it!

Things will be "cool" now!

Hey Mr Krip! Miss a day and I'm 3 pages behind :smokin:

The noise isn't a problem, and there is a TV nearby if needed, but honestly, I'm more concerned with smell.

I've got Ona along with some other odor gel from Homie's, but you definately need the right balance so it removes the skunk odor but doesn't make the house smell like a rest stop bathroom.

I'm gonna fry up some bacon in the morning, as an extra measure and then light a candle over some scented oil (the excuse can always be to remove the bacon smell!).

I'm thinking that should get me through it, OK.

In the mean time, that 6" clip-on Air King fan I took out of veg and replaced with the box fan is now what's keeping me cool as I veg. :hookah:

I have a bunch of those glade plug-ins, they can really fill the house with lilacs or whatever for a major emergency. Might be a good idea to have some on standby just in case, you only need an hour's notice.

Bandit really likes this Eva mini that I've been posting on a few threads:

Bandit found this, I've cut out excerpts of his ongoing reviews. He's got an awesome journal too if you haven't checked it out.

This is the Eva Dry Mini Dehumidifier. Retails for $20 and it handles 333 cubic feet of grow space. The absorbant material is also rechargable. The package claims to reduce allergens but also ELIMINATE odor, molds, & mildews.
Apparently it simply plugs in and then hangs in the growroom. This should be interesting

Good news to report on the Eva Dry folks!
It super ez to use...It simply hangs in the garden. It has a guage with blue beads in the window. When those beads turn pink the device is full of moisture. To rechrage it, it simply plugs into an outlet and it's ready to go when the beads turn back to blue.
I have'nt checked humidity readings but i already notice a significant drop in odor.

High Tmac!
It's the mini.... model # E-333. Supposed to be effective for a space up to 333 cubic feet. My bloom cab is only 168 cubic feet so the theory is that this unit should have no problem handling it's business in the bloom cab.

It has stated uses for boats, homes, rv, computer work areas, gun safes, closets, camera storage, filing cabinets, and much more. "Much more" = cannabis farms imo

I like the ed. One charge last about 8 weeks in my room and then it recharges in about 8 hours.

It took my rh from about 50-60% down to 30%. I give it a :thumb:

Thanks for the info & thoughts on your use of the SSN. I think I will try both the Gravity & the SSN this grow; have Bushmaster but think I will wait. I will use SSN @ the rate you are using it at & I think I will try, as suggested by Gorillagardener, the continious 1ml/5gallons but start week 5 or 6, since believe I will be going 11-12 weeks. Yes I believe some of these harvest times are optimistic at best:smokin:.

As for smell, saute' up some trout Almondine or Salmon, they won't smell anything else for 2 days! :goodluck:

Do you guys think it makes sense to do a foliar spray after I defoliated? There are still cola leaves. I've been mixing at 5ml/gal with their water and haven't noticed much of anything unusual.

Interesting little update. The A/C company was supposed to come tomorrow, but they had a truck down the street and just popped over without calling in advance, so I had little-to-no time to prepare. Luckily, most of the time was spent outside and he didn't detect anything out of the ordinary. Unfortunately, it looks like my compressor died and it's gonna be big money and probably a few days to get it taken care of. :surrender:

Sucks about the compressor but I'm glad the stealth exam was passed and you scored such a good bargain bro.

hey i go with whatevers better, shit i've been waitin 3 months whats another week, do u think it will make a difference that i trimmed them all up?? will it mess them up?? and if anything i think i'll go ahead and just chop lily because all her pistils are all orange and shes not growin anymore so i think shes pretty much done... but i'll listen to the wise and wait a week and finish my harvest nutes tonight and flush till the end...:tokin:

Great call my friend you'll be glad you waited :thumb:

The Eva Dry does little or nothing in my grow space. I have the 550 model and it did very little to eradicate smell or rh.

Could just be my area but it didn't work for me. What has worked for me is their petite dehumidfier 1100 or something like that. That has worked great for my space of about 24 cubic feet.

:Namaste:

Thanks, DIME!

Nice that you're venting into the attic. Plus, because heat rises, when you're in a cooler environment and venting into the attic, you'll never smell it at ground level. Unfortunately, I'm venting back into the same closet and in a warmer environment where I can't count on the vented air rising, but I do have decent ventillation in the room, so, thus far, odor has been pretty well in control.

Blue, thanks for the info on the EVA's. When I do the drying, I was thinking about using one of those "Damp Rid" containers to help draw humidity out of the air, but that looks like it could be a great solution, if it works, since it's re-usable.

My GUESS is that you're plants would still benefit from the foliar, but that's ONLY because I'm ASSUMING the plant can still absorb nutrients thru it's cola leaves. I don't know if this is true, but can't see any reason why it would not be.

Very interesting & informative article! I wasn't as impressed with the video, but it's clear there's a nice little "industry battle" brewing with AN and SLS and you definately need to side with AN on that front. I'm just not as impressed with the way the AN CEO presented it. Great info in the article about nute labels, though! I was wondering why I couldn't get the ingredients on the SSU...now I know! :tokin:
