DIY Stealth Cab, Hydro, LED & Multiple Strains in Small Space - Oh Boy!

Thanks, WnF! Yeah...she definately has me on my toes trying figure out her timing but enjoying the show the whole way! :)

I'm hoping to do 4 harvests this year with the perpetual grow going, so in another year, we should both be experts in the field! :high-five:

Good for you K!

I'd like nothing more than to be an expert IN a field. :laughtwo:

LMAO...I don't know if what you got is classified as field, forrest, or jungle, but you definately got some nice flora working! :morenutes:

Yeah...I have a similar one I picked up real cheap on eBay, but it's not easy to take pic's thru so I'll probably pick up one of those, too, to see if I can pics any easier.

i have the same microscope, it has a little light and all that on it and it works really good to see the trichs cause it has a 30x and a 100x, so it works really good, but in my opinion it sucks to try and take pics through, i tried it and it just doesn't work... but thats IMO... :tokin:

QUICK UPDATE - LOTS O' PICS

Thanks for the input guys on waiting another week.

Here's a quick pic update...

First, I'm gonna have the same space problems on the next grow. I've been vegging the hempy haze and the PE way too long! They're both doing great, and although I was gonna keep the big PE as a mother, I think I may grow her out with the haze.

They both stand about 15" tall right now!

Here's the haze top:

And here's the PE top:

The Hempy AK is pretty under control, only because I keep topping her, but she's a little strange in that she only has nodes on one side, so instead of getting two tops when I top the plant, I just get a single one growing from a different point:

IMAGE_2202.jpg

The four PE clones are doing GREAT...putting out new growth and I believe all have roots in the res:

And, on the flower side, things are really getting exciting...well...they've BEEN exciting, but getting more exciting by the day! :)

Here's the AK cola collection after 55 days of 12/12:

And here's some group, individual & close-up shots:

Suka, the hempy AK is a clone of the monster AK that's in flower now. The difference is time and the way I LST'd the one in flower.

Since I'm just finishing the AK, and because she's so big that the waterfarm Haze is getting a bit cheated, and because I don't intend to try to maintain royal haze as an ongoing strain, I'm gonna flower the hempy haze next without first taking any clones from her. Then, no more haze for me! :)

I was gonna flower the hempy haze alone next to let her show me what she can do if I let her spread out, but she takes too long to finish and to really make some more space in veg, I'll flower the big PE with her (I was gonna do one of the PE clones, but the big one will buy more room).

I'm sure on my next grow I'll be complaining about wanting to toss the haze again to make more room for the PE.

Then, I'll grow just PE and AK until I decide to try my last lucy seed.

I thought I'd mention one way this hobby has changed me...

Since I started growing, I can't look at a plastic container without evaluating it's potential as a DIY cloner! :laughtwo:

I don't blame you a bit. I would have too except for some issues with ongoing supply problems - also, excuse the brain slip: I forgot I mentioned DM with you before... Besides, BCNL's recommended program is top notch, without a doubt.

That my friend, is my all time favorite past-time. I've proudly spent most of my adult life doing that.

Second favorite relates to growing. :):):)

I'm with you guys! Nosing around for furry female parts is my favorite past time as well, motorcycling and growing good medicine bud are in a tie for second...... *wink *wink!! :shhh: ( I just KNEW I was going to feel at home here! )

Girls are beautiful and the young ones are so healthy looking. :thumb:

...And if you're not looking at containers, you seem to notice every deficiency on every plant you see :) my wife is like "OK honey, yes it's a Nitrogen boo boo, good job." I guess I talk about plants in general a little more lately.

:peacetwo:

i hate talkin about them to my g/f,, cause i feel like im talkin to myself, all she wants to do is smoke it, dont wanna spend no money to get shit for them dont want me to spend my money on them, but is quick to say "cut a bud or two off, we dont have nothin to smoke"... :tokin:

WEEKLY UPDATE

It's been exactly 8 weeks of 12/12 for the AK and 54 days for the haze. When I went to check the girls this morning, I was greeted by a serious stank...kinda like a skunk pissed on a pile of pine air fresheners. I think I'm gonna need to start running the scrubber full time.

Also, the A/C went out today and I won't be able to get it fixed until Monday, so I'm running some pretty high temps, but doing my best to keep it as cool as possible. I'm more worried about the humidity than the heat, due to my location.

I did the weekly cleaning & res changes on the waterfarms today and upped the PPM's on the haze for what I'm pretty sure is gonna be the last time before I switch to Overdrive and start lowering PPM's towards the flush.

I can see her buds getting bigger and more frosty by the day, at this point, so it appears she's now just as anxious as I am to get toward harvest. In eager anticipation, I bought a dozen quart glass canning jars today for her cure. :yummy:

Although I don't mention her much, except when I talk about finishing her somewhere else or tossing her, the haze is starting to look pretty good as her buds start to fill in. She still has a long way to go, though, compared to her roommate, so as she gets a little closer, you'll start seeing pics of her again.

While she was out, I tried to snap a couple of full pics of the AK so you could get an idea of how big she is.

Great job Mr K! That AK is a big girl, how tall is she?

Not only are those trichs big, those pistils are long as hell. I'm loving the updates on your girls, buds are filling in fast.

Keep it up :thumb:

Thanks, DIME! :thanks:

She's about 40" tall from base to top of longest cola.

That sucks about the a/c Mr Krip and what lousy timing, but a few days should be no problem, if the rh is high please try to keep fans running 24/7. This would be a horrible time to get mold.

This is a good time to think about ordering hygrometers if you're so inclined. I can't recommend them enough - the Caliber III is the one I have and works great.

I think you made the right call keeping the haze, I'm not sure I could toss a flowering plant, I've kept a few sad ones.

Stay the course my friend. The best part is just starting. She'll still fatten up.

Blue, I have a hygrometer in there and I was surprised to find RH at only 45%, which is about where it is normally. I have the fans in flower running 24x7 as-is, so no need to change that. Temps are up to about 87* F, which is definately high, but they're holding their own, so far. Now that it's night, we should cool down a little, but tomorrow will be a long, hot day here. :surf:

I'm definately staying the course, and I'll know for sure next week, but I think four weeks from now should be about right...if needed, I'll flush for an extra week or so if it looks like she needs longer. That will make it 12 solid weeks (84 days) of 12/12 if I only flush for one week, so timing won't be that far off of yours, especially if I end up flushing a few days longer.

Thanks for the help!

Likewise my friend. The Producer, the grow, whatever, is affectionately referred to as the "box" around here. One day when I grow up I hope to change that to the "room". Then the "greenhouse". Then the "back 40". Then "my island". After that it'll be back to the "box". The pine one.

Sorry for the double post. Too bad about the AC, but it sounds like everything is and will be fine. Hey, they'd face changing weather in nature right?

The AK has gotten huge, and I think it's really good that things stink badly! One more mile. Just one... more... (stinking) mile. :goodjob:

Hi Mr Krip! :surf:

Murphy's law got you. it always happens.:smokin:

Like everyone else said, you should make it until the ac is fixed. High 80's is normal for me.....you'll make it. Keep those fans a blowing. ;)

Great pictures as usual. :Rasta:

:peacetwo:

Just a couple days on AC & same RH as always, you'll make it + so close to :rollit: now! :Rasta:

Tell me do you think the LED's or the Snow Storm Ultra had anything to do with length of flowering time on this grow? Or do you think it was the original stress they went through or do you think it's just a more sativa dominate strain? Also again please, at what rate & foliar schedule are using the Snow Storm Ultra @? What is your overall early appraisal of the product & how it works? Does your experience with this HCO product make you want to experiment with the other HCO products? Which they now have a 5th product out, a powder form Flower enhancer out- "Sonic Bloom" for use in soil or hydro. If you are interested in some researching I did into HCO products for their use in Hydro check this Link I leaving you. It is just about the best info on their products I could gather together.

Didn't think I would leave without a teaser for ya! 17days in 18gal Bubbler! They just had a first res change & were misted.

Looking forward to hearing your views on this product! Then looking forward to the smoke report!
