Ill see how what I have now works out and if that doesn't help, I will come up with something else...
If i was better at programming I could do something with an arduino to control an exhaust van with varying speeds according to temps... Yea that would be cool :thumb:

Not at all... lol
Trying something else now, just leaving one of the top ports open and a bottom flap. If that still does nothing then i will put in an exhaust fan that turns on with the light. But that will kill my RH. Im lucky to get up to 40% as it is.
Maybe with some more soil surface area it will be better idk...

Like Pennywise said or mist the inside of your tent. You'll get humidity then lol
 
I still reccomend a passive intake at the bottom and an exhaust fan at the top to blow out excess heat
Yup. There's a reason why the tents come with the holes where they are and every tent setup is basically the same with only a few variations.

The fan is from a plant that closed its doors. It's an exhaust fan for a welding booth. It was brand new when I got it. But any online fan will work perfectly. When choosing a fan the formula is lengthxwidthxheight. That gives you the square footing in your tent or area. Once you have that you can choose a fan perfect for your tent or area. Every fan has different cfm. Keep in mind if you are going to add a filter or scrubber you will need a fan a bit stronger because it has to suck a bit more to get the heat and fresh oxygen in there.

This is my own exhaust, pretty standard. Vortex fan+carbon filter. Rule of thumb you want to be completely changing the air in your area at least once every minute, more is better. Example, my area is 3x4x5 feet, for 60 cubic feet. At minimum I need a 60 cfm (cubic foot per minute) fan. But wait. Am I dealing with ALOT of heat? Are there bends in my ducting? (this drastically reduces actual output vs rated output) Am I sucking or blowing through a filter? More loss of efficiency. My ducting path requires 3 90 degree bends and my filter is an immediate loss of about 20% rated cfm. So I use a 480 cfm fan. And in reality I get maybe 180 cfm of flow through. Even with that, I had to add an intake to blow -30 degree outdoor air at 20 cfm to get my temps down under 85F.......I have alot of small cfls, some small LED's and 2 LARGE cfls.

Not trying to be rude, just direct and blunt. You need to bite the bullet, make the investment, and get some proper ventilation going. My entire journal is about building and doing everything myself......ventilation is the one area where DIY and compromise were not viable. Lights, sure thing, built most of mine myself from salvaged scrap. Grow medium, training techniques, whatever, do your thing and enjoy every failure, turn them into a lesson and move forward.

Ventilation and cooling is not an area with any wiggle room. Do it right the first time, there's a reason EVERY guide for first timers says the same thing on the subject.

I am going to add that EndItAll and I are into DIY. It's cheaper and sometimes more efficient then to spend the extra money. I'm going to take pics of my setup for you as well DR.
