Today is day 65 of bloom for Isabelle Purple (standing front and centre, 33” tall, 14” away from the light), day 64 for Isabelle Blue (back, right, same height as I.Purple), day 60 for Isabelle Red (shorter than, and behind I.Purple).

Trichomes are 50/50 clear/milky. The only amber trichs I can see - aren’t convincing; may just be fan damage or light stress.

You’d have to be very sharp-eyed to have noticed the one in front looking lighter in her undercarriage. Latest testers are nearly dry. And I have a new dry herb vape! It’s the business. Good thing I’d done a slight fix on the last stash I bought - it went from cough flavoured to cough and burnt pepper flavoured. In the vape it tastes like a burnt but passable curry. Anyway, looking forward to trying the pot with the zero food kilometres in the vape - see how much better it makes the taste when it already tastes good!

They had a feed tonight of ozi tonic, molasses and bloom nute guano which I’ve nearly run out of. Their next feed will be the night I roster off next weekend and I won’t have a chance to get more. I read a lot of folk only pouring water on their plants for the last couple of weeks so I decided not to worry.

What else? Clones 1, Red and Blue, two of each - have started LST on their mains.
Not sure whether to keep a new parent from this batch as Clones 2 are starting to show roots :slide:so as long as I can see some continuity I may hold off selecting parents. There will be three each new Clone 2s of Red and Blue from slips I left on Clones 1 when I topped and repotted. These were my contingency plan to reinforce the 2nd line.

Does anyone else have the problem of having to move loads of great looking cannabis out of the way just to get a look at the other great looking cannabis? I never thought that would be one of my problems. Lucky, really.

POOM POOOOOOOOM'S!

Absolutely stunning!
:welldone:

Hey DD! Hope you're doing well.
Looking great in your garden! :yahoo: That Isabelle Red is such a beast. Huge stems all the way up. She's going to have gorgeous buds, check those colours!

A problem i like to deal with!
Damn DD. This is one hell of a first time indoor grow! :bravo:

Hey @irie lion. Thanks for the ups, brother.
We are very happy with this as a first attempt. Isabelle Red has been gorgeous and frosty since flowers started, with a smell that just makes me have to sit down.
:yahoo:
So all going well I’d say another week or two on the Purple and the other two a week later. All going well.
Thing is..
Just found out. MIL coming to stay. She’ll be here in ten days and staying for three weeks! Crikey.
So either we chop earlier than we’d like or we carry on as planned, harvest around her and hope for the best.
Hard to know what to do.
It will mean, of course, that I can’t use the fridge for the low and slow dry. That may be the worst of it. I can keep things out of her way so long as she isn’t too ‘helpful’.
I’ve had an oven wired in in the garage so I can still decarb and make an infusion.
I have everything I need for topicals and capsules - everything except The Goods, that is.
Tonight when I get home I’ll post some pix of trichs and you guys can see what you think. :nerd-with-glasses:

Crikey is right! lol Share some with the MIL if she grates your nerves. :D

I had hoped to maybe give her a foot rub with some topical cream.
Ease her in to the idea. :D
She’s a good old duck really and I’ll be happy to see her, but... timing

MIL's are good with timing. Have a great day down there and don't fall off the edge. I'm going to bed.

Ahh that’s really not easy. If you are able to chop down while she’s around that would be awesome. No worries about the low and slow, your bud is going to be good without a doubt so as long as it does not dry too quickly you’ll be good.
:lot-o-toke: I’m not sure how good of a nose she’s got but when I harvest my whole damn house smells dank so be prepared for that haha.

Question Time

Ok. To reap or not to reap: that is the question.

Have a look and please tell me what you think. I think another week. Cutting it fine, though, logistically.

Isabelle Purple is the nearest to the finish line, so I wanted to show you her trichomes. Unfortunately (@Ganjagrandaddy) I have not upgraded my loupe as planned. Damn plans! :D Also, her trichs are smaller and less prolific than her two sisters. Bear with me...

And her general condition...

There we have it. To my eye her trichs are mostly full, with equal small numbers both clear and amber.

And hey - while I’m appealing to the brains trust here... does anyone know what is causing this on a clone?...
(Canna terra pro soil, under 40w LED which is supposed to be 120w cfl equivalent).

Annnd... a clone update because why not?

She’s 1.x.1 because 1 is first gen (from seed), x because I did not record which of the (now) small plants I took the cuts from, and 1 because she’s the first to show roots.
(I hope that’s close enough for slow dancing, Shed?)

great update mate. On the ready or not issue. for me without a loupe , i would go on 70 % brown hairs down the plant. There are microscope apps ( free ones too) that use the phones camera excellently for getting trichromes better. Have a peek in app store. work a treat. All in all looking dam good DD. the cuttings look like clones always end up looking like in the beginning. , scruffy versions of beautiful Mothers ( opposite to my exp of wives !!)
One or two do look scarred maybe from "visitors". would scour those leaves before throwing them all in. My spidermite cock up cost me 6 healthy plants in the hulkberry grow.
glad tour your back mate. missed your banter.

All the time thankfully !!

on the brown spots issue. looks like calmag issue maybe ??

I cut n paste this reply from the media item you commented on gigiddy coz I didn’t see the question here first:

I did give these guys a little bit. I wondered at first if I’d splashed a couple of leaves accidentally. One of the charts I was looking at, it looked like phosphamumble or sunnink. I’ll give them a bit more in their next drink, get some neem in too I guess.
Just deleted about 5G worth of garbage off my phone so I can now go about finding one of those apps you suggested thank you slur, I mean sir!
:high-five:

Good to see ya, giggles :laughtwo:

I'm seeing some clear in that last pic and that's on the sugar leaves. Remember, when checking trichomes it's the ones on the buds to look at, as the leaves will always amber first. Assuming you have all the micronutrients in whatever you're feeding, the brown looks like either too little calcium or too much potassium to me.

LOL! I'd just pic a number and put it in there rather than spend the rest of the generations guessing.
My spidermite cock
I'm thinking you should make cockup one word in the future so as not to demean your anatomy ;).

Thank you, Shed :) I appreciate your insight. My knowledge of cannabis plant physiology continues to grow (like my accidental Isabelles) - I did not know that about trichome maturation. I will be watching that now I know what to look for.

I’ll look at the NPK values on their food and check I didn’t give them the wrong ones.

“Close enough for slow dancing” is a Kinky Friedman-ism. Great one liners and decent gumshoe detective novels. Country singer turned crime writer. “You can pick your nose and you can pick your friends, but you can’t wipe your friends off on your saddle”. Mickey Spillane with tumbleweeds.

She looks unassuming enough, but she’s a potent wee bunny.
I’m rating the tester we took last week as twice as good for pain management as the Black Domina we got.
So I put the last of it in a jar to burp out some chlorophyll. See how she tastes.
Got another wee tester too just to see how she goes a week on. You were right about that one in front of the fan, Shed. It fell off.

So, we don’t know any more about Isabelle than her name. I’ve been really aware throughout this whole grow to be on the look out for any traits that might identify her. She looks quite different to her sisters and I wondered if the different Isabelles were really different strains or not. But now they are all showing the same epigenetics (is that the word?) I’m thinking they are the same chemovar after all.

Definite signs of chem dog in the lineage.

IKR?! I’m as surprised as anyone.
Trickier than it looks isn’t it, getting these shots ...

Niiiiiiiicccceee!

You know, that reminds me - in the South the word nice has somewhere between one and fifteen syllables.

Thanks to @Ganjagrandaddy they got a foliar treatment of diatomaceous earth and neem oil, and thanks to @InTheShed the got calmag in their feed.

Just want you to know I listen to advice. Mrs always says how I don’t listen, or something. At least I think that’s what she’s saying.

Really, I do want to thank the people who have helped this to happen for us. You’ve made things that could have been complicated simple. You’ve shown us all the tips and tricks we could learn, answered all our questions. As well as with the gardening it’s been fun meeting you all.

And :420:as a whole - showing us comparisons of different options every time we had to make a choice. Priceless. You made the seemingly insurmountable seem easy.

And in other news,,

We have decided to chop early. With MIL here in 7 days, my health and the cold fact that the hospital cannot give me pain relief.

We can make our own meds and have the red carpet rolled out for royalty as well as packing the stinky veg area up into what is going to be their future home anyway - the bloom room from grow 1.

Gotta leave some room to improve on round two, after all. ;)

And I hope you’ll be there too
:morenutes:
We’ll post pix of our Isabelles (that reminds me..) maybe tomorrow. We’re all a bit done in here for now. And we’ll have a humble, but happy little harvest in a day or two.

:thanks:

Hey DD. Those trichome pics are good and the trics are looking mostly clear to me. It’s unfortunate you’ve got to chop early as those nugs would have put on more weight and needed a bit more time to develop by the look of it. But you gotta do what you gotta do. Sorry about the health issues, good luck and take it easy. Looking forward to your next grow :thumb::ganjamon:
