Nice harvest, Double D.

Thanks, Double D. I've enjoyed the hell out of it.

Congrats on your harvest brother DD :high-five: you did a great job.
Some fat buds there. I'm not sure if it's the genetics you ran our what you're feeding them but man those stalks are so thick, looks like they could hold KG's!
Looking forward to your next grow! :passitleft::morenutes:

Thanks Irie. You know, feels like it was a team effort.
Spent most of the time learning them - feels like I’ll have them sussed next time. We were very lucky with random seed stock - the rest of it ... steering when you can from the tops of the waves in the high seas of pirate medicine gardening here in the South Pacific.

Had to turn the fans up tonight. Gotta get it done. Single digit temps, RH 75-80+/-

We have three days to get our stash jarred, small plants repotted, return the veg/bloom/dry room to a veg room, and try to manage a decarb, infusion session with capsules and topical cream coming out the other side.

Did someone say bring on the meds...

You are a busy man!

Got to swap a couple of bedrooms over too - we’ve been getting some jobs done in the spare room and we don’t want MIL living in a worksite. Reminds me. Better go hang some curtains.

Thanks for coming by, Al. Glad your dental issues came right. Incidentally, you might enjoy a Japanese film called Tampopo- it’s brilliantly funny for lots of reasons, including a short but memorable dental bit. Have a look.

Looks good. I'll have to get @Tangled to watch it with me. Thanks!

Congratulations on your harvest Double D, :bravo:.

Sweet colours DD! Loads of work ahead of you the next coupla days - good luck and take it easy!

That Isabelle Red bud is a beauty!

Thanks, Shed. Glad you agree :)

Those weights were on the way into jars last night. So the heavy stalks are gone, and they’ve been having their last little sweat.

Still. 2oz tops. :yummy:

I can’t thank you enough for the rice ball trick! Without it I’d have ruined things trying to get it all struck down in a hurry. As it is I took a wee nug from the mixed jar this morning. Soft and fluffy, chops well, burns well, full of flavour. Will only improve with cure.

Gives new meaning to the term Harvest Ball.

So, provisional weights are in. Provisional only - they are having their last sweat before their cure. I’ll be swapping out fresh rice balls today until they stabilise. A couple of jars a bit over full.

To be fair I took at least an ounce and a half over the last few weeks, so if the weight doesn’t change much through the next week or two I’ll leave the numbers.

Provisionally then:
Isabelle Red 5.5oz
Isabelle Purple 5oz
Isabelle Blue 4oz

That’s right. 14.5oz!
Holy Smoke!

You know what, Shed? I’m going to go ahead and name my next Shed after you!

Good job, Double D!

Aftermath

Hi folks. Well, we got it done. MIL arrives today and there is nothing for her to stumble upon. You wouldn’t know what’s going on here if we didn’t tell you.

I followed @Amy Gardner ’s excellent directions for infusing oil. I adapted the recipe slightly using 20g instead of 9g to a cup of organic, cold pressed EVOO.

I decarbed at 115*C for 90min in a closed foil pouch. This was my nod to preserving terpenes as I did not refrigerate or freeze the material between decarboxylation and infusion. Getting it done.

Infused at 85*C for 7hrs.

Half of it went this way: (@SweetSue ’s body butter pain cream...)

And then in to jars..

And half had lecithin added, then after 24hrs we could fill some capsules.

And there are two of my goals complete. The pain cream works a charm. Neck already a better place to be. Use will be ongoing.

It makes me smile that it was free. At the price we had been paying each tub of pain cream would have cost a hundred dollars.

The capsules are great! They work a charm. One gave me pain relief for hours yesterday. It was remarkable. Two is a slight buzz. Five before a bath is ok too  I haven’t yet crunched our guesses through the spreadsheet to calculate the dose more scientifically.

So the harvest is all packed down into 7 jars now for burping.

The taste has been driving me crazy. I thought it reminded me of strawberry bubblegum, but it’s mango! The exhale tastes just like a mango lassi. I’ve never tasted anything like this. Potent too! :p

Then I had to do something with the veg area. Roots weren’t as full as I would’ve liked for transplanting, but we won’t get a chance to do anything here for the next 3 weeks.

They don’t have the protection of a heater any more. In fact they have the opposite. It has been snowing here for the last couple of days. Temperatures are not likely to reach double figures in the tent - the HPS has been packed away.
Fingers crossed for signs of life a month from now.

Keep free!
