Dark Devil Auto: A Community Grow Record

Because the DDA is all over the site I've seen harvest dates that range from 75 days to 100 days and lots in between. This is from sprouting not when they start flowering.
 
Keep in mind, harvest too early you lose the beefing up of the buds and the packing on of crystals and resins.

And, of course, potency - clear trichome heads are not at their peak.

Some real good advice that I once received: "There are thousands of strains out there; don't try playing with harvest dates to get the effect you're looking for, select the strain that provides that effect - and harvest it at its peak." <SHRUGS> Take it or leave it, lol, it was free.

I picked up a cheap Chinese-built one a few years ago at a flea market. It's kind of a PITA because the field of view is so narrow and, recently, my vision has declined to the point that I'd have to have someone else use it - but it works for the purpose. Cost... Seven dollars. I'd love to have a better one, but for $7US, I figure I got my money's worth of use out of it.

I’d have to disagree about the harvest timing TS, but only to the extent that CBD is said to be highest when the trichomes begin to flush to cloudy. Other than that, it sounds like good advice.

I harvest my DDAs as soon as the trichomes have changed to cloudy. It consistently gives me the energetic buzz I expect from the chemovar.

Today I got to sample my cobs that’re now 4 weeks into the cure.

I really don't know but I think the leb is high in CBD and straddles the fence when it comes to lndica/sativa genetics. If someone grows these out there might be potential for an autoflowering and high CBD strain, or at least a fun set of F3's that come up auto and ???? who knows,

I am just pollen chucking, really.

Nothing wrong with trying something different. I was just wondering if it would make for faster flower times or possible autos. I've been getting more and more into genetics would like to try some pollen chucking myself in the future.

Neither appears to have much in the way of "close relatives" (including, as it turns out, each other :rolleyes: ) . To date, no one has chosen to submit a sample of Dark Devil Auto to that entity, unfortunately. I'd be interested in seeing the results if someone ever does. Although I'm still not sure I completely understand all the information I read at:

If I had a pile of money, I would buy them all:rofl:. Let whoever eventually came along to shovel up my remains worry about testing and such.

And I can testify to a high germination rate. I don’t think I’ve planted one of your seeds yet Lucas that didn’t poke through the perlite within 3-5 days.

I've never used STS, but scant pollen wasn't a problem for me, and I only sprayed one bud site.
