Im hoping so. Yeah actually i would say today on day 40 is the first day that i would say i actually see buds forming. Heres a few pics from today.

I think technically this plant fits in here. I took a female Sensi Seeds Northern Lights female, sprayed it with CS spray and made pollen sacks. I collected pollen from this beautiful girl and dusted a handful of buds on my Dark Devil auto plant. The resulting cross Northern Lights X DDA has a lot of potential. Here are a couple pictures of the first seed of this cross I'm growing out. Nothing done to her, she is all natural. Question is........will I see purple in and around the buds? We'll see!! I plan to keep her in the pot she is in now for another 2 weeks. Then I will up-pot her into a 5 gallon bucket, wait two weeks for the roots to spread out and then put her into flowering.

I crossed a DDA and a Mephisto Sour Crack (SSDC). The purple gene carried over. Everything from just darkened buds to all out deep black. Temperature seemed to have a large effect on the color.

Looks like she’s gonna express more NL, so hopefully she’ll give you a blast of color. :thumb:

He color has carried over in all the crosses I know of. I like your chances. :battingeyelashes:

Lovely pistils and that flash of color really gets the heart pumping, doesn’t it?

@ScHydro, I’m always surprise to plant two seeds and get different structures. Lol! I assure you the harvest won’t be any less potent.

I’m finishing up dinner and then I’m headed back home to spend the evening exploring the many ways I can consume DDA. I have tincture, cob, and flower. Lucky me. :slide:

I’ve been floating on a DDA cloud all day long. This delicious buzz, ladies and gentlemen, is why we grow them. :green_heaet:

This has me thinking, because it actually does doesn’t it, when you toke it? Actually elevates the heart rate a little :hmmmm: I’m coming to realise this kind of weed, as much as I adore it, may not be medically wise. There is an issue with Tachycardia and things that elevate hr are counter indicated. Different strokes for diff folks though hey, so it may or may not ramp mine up too much. I’ll be coming at it slowly though. ;) And I’ll hold off the carnival until I see how the DDA lands.
I actually dropped 2 seeds, both popped and at the end of the first day, one laid its head over and hasn’t come up since! I’ll drop another today - maybe the light was too strong, the survivor is strong tho!

They’ll just be sisters a week or so apart :) still the new moon too, there’s time (can’t even remember the code for (?) :hippy: chick!)

Hmm... J've never thought about it let it keep me from enjoying sativas (et cetera), but I suppose it should be a consideration. My gut tells me that cannabis sativa raises my heart rate less than other things did in the past, and less than life does at random times. But that's just a guess.

By the way, how bad is yours? My at-rest heart rate is "only" 112/113 BPM most of the time, at least when I can keep calm and carry on.

"ONLY" :hmmmm: your running twice the rate I run at rest, your probably thinking twice as much.:rofl::Namaste:
 
I've smoked some strains that elevate my heart rate. Usually lasts for 30 minutes or so and then it's fine. I just make a note not to smoke that strain again.
 
:thumb: Yeah - it seems to be a terpene profile thing. May not only be the sativas. Trial and discovery! Such early days in my chemovar hunt :)
 
My first DDA didn't seem to effect my heart rate. Although it did make my neighbors and I quite talkative. Couple that with the anti-inflammatory effects and it made some great visiting folks weed :rollit:

I wonder how much the full pollination changed the terpene profile

I grew 3 DDA plants at the same time. I pollinated the nicest one, the others I left alone. I notice a difference between the seeded and unseeded buds in the way you suspect.
 
I really want this next one to make it to the 100 day mark. That bud rot messed up my whole schedule.

I mixed the last several grams of DDA with some awesome Skywalker OG in doobies.. that is some heavy meds and one helluva wake and bake.

Going to pop a couple of my own DDA cross seeds in a couple days. Very excited
 
The DDA cross I created with the Sensi Northern Lights has been in it's 3 gallon pot now for 8 days. I like to give a plant 2 weeks after transplant before flipping them. I water them lightly, only at the surface for the two week period to build up the root system as they come looking for water.

I will be anxiously looking for some purple in the buds when she starts flowering.
