It might have been me (did it sound more like maniacal laughter? ;) ) . Because I did kind of lose it. I had just put the cup down after dropping a DDA seed, pouring in a cap full of H₂O₂ and swirling it around to wash off the seed case, then pouring in a few inches of water. Immediately afterwards, I saw your birth announcement post in your journal thread. It's a good thing I wasn't still holding the cup, or I'd have spilled it...

I can't help the huge smile I get whenever I think about that little DDA. And the fact I'm growing my own medicine, that bit makes me super happy too. This thread and the many pictures is what got me hooked on the DDA and I just had to get me some. She's 2 days old now and been under a veg LED and I'm not sure if I'm seeing things but it looks like she's got very slight tinges of dark around her first tiny leaves. The DDA should show some amazing colours if its a dark phenotype/chemovar combined with the colours I'm getting from the Solar System 550 LED.

I think you're in for quite the show Nightmask. You're not seeing things. The staining begins to be suggested right from the start

Spending the evening in a thoughtful mood, so it surprised me when it was DDA that stepped to the forefront.

Lol oh boy supersue rippin the old bong ehh lol man tht looks like a tastey nug u got right there i cant wait till i order some more dda beans altho i do have a few hermie beans of dda i kept so tht way if i ever needed or ran out i would always have some dda on hand haha even if it hermies alil thts ok with me atleast ill have some of those buds lol. But yea good luck on the baby devils u got going may they yield u some amazing meds namaste.
 
Here are a couple seedlings growing outdoors in soil. They are about 3 weeks apart. Thanks to Sweet Sue and Rifleman for the chance to grow these sweeties! Is the cross by rifleman documented? Did he buy Auto regs and cross 2 DDAs?

Yes, in his grow journal. Search for "Rifleman's Roost." Or I probably have the link handy...

You'll have to either search or ask someone in the thread to point you to the approximate time period or posts where it occurred, but it's all in there. I cannot guarantee my recollection, but I think he had a Dark Devil Auto and a Mephisto Sour Crack Auto, and reversed one or the other of them. The Sour Crack Auto, I think? Anyway, he got S₁s of one and a cross of the two. Something like either 2,000+ or 4,000+ seeds of one and 6,000+ seeds of the other, lol. So now there are a great many selfed Dark Devil Autos and Sweet & Sour Devil's Crack (Auto) in people's collections. (I should state for the sake of the forum guidelines that 100% of this happened through offline face-to-face meet-ups between various people instead of being done through the forum.)

I think Sue might have mentioned that Rifleman was interested in seeing some of these seeds grown out - so if anyone who has some of them decides to include one or the other in a grow journal, they might drop a link in his thread (and/or this one).

Purple and green phenos????

I am really hoping my DDA crosses rock!!!

I'd love some killer DDA photo plants
 
I’m curious if anyone has personally noted a difference in the potency of vivid purples vs the green pheno? Chris, I'm pretty sure I recall you saying your green didn't do much for you. Are you finding the purples more to your liking?

My first was a green pheno, turning chocolate purple within two weeks of harvest. I recall it being incredibly potent, effective enough euphorically that I couldn’t wait to plant the next.

They’ve all been marvelously euphoric for me. I’m not sure I can say one pheno is moreso than the other.

Now yer green changing is way different than my greens, they stayed green

Ya I wasn't impressed at all with the green, I can't say I spent a lot of time smoking it

The purple is way different, for sure a more potent smoke
And the cobb tried was insane for sure
