Dark Devil Auto: A Community Grow Record

All it is, is a case of me building my box and im ready to go. But with work and everything I still havent managed to find the time :(

Everything happens in its right time Bilbobudkin. :hugs:

:welcome:DDA update, dropped another DDA seed this morning. This is the forth in a series started every two weeks. The first one flowered earlier and harder than expected, This is only my second auto and I think I pushed it into flower early by trying to keep the soil dryer to promote root growth. (whoops) I have been spaying it with colloidal silver to initiate a change of sex. It has been stubborn and I may have to try again with DDA #2

I have three more DDA seeds that will join in the two week drop cycle.
My destiny is more DDA seeds
There are 2, two week old Zamaldelica's in solo cups behind DDA@2:bongrip::Namaste:

You might have a better time of it with STS (silver thiosulfate) if you can find the silver nitrate and sodium thiosulfate needed to make the stuff. A small amount will make enough solution to do a person for many years. But my local photography store went out of business in 2015 and the local scientific/chemical supply house went belly up about ten years before that :( . If you live in a big city (something above, IDK, 25,000 people, lol), you may still have one of these two types of stores. If so, I'd suggest the photography store - and that you make TWO visits, buying each component separately. <SCRATCHES HEAD> Because I cannot remember for sure, but buying both at the same time might involve filling out a form (one at a time won't).

I already have the colloidal silver left over from last year and it works, patience is a behavior I am cultivating so no hurry mate. I avoid the big cities and filling out forms whenever I 'm able:Namaste:

Hello All,

Hello Sue,

Is this where the party is?

My DDA went outside today. I think she is good for the outdoor weather and I just put another seed in and will sprout one a week for a few weeks.

:green_heart::green_heart::green_heart:

Oh wow lazyfish, an outdoor DDA! :yahoo: They're so cute when they're tiny. :battingeyelashes:

My DDA went outside today.

I was walking all over town last week, thinking, "I can hide one there. I can hide one over there. I can hide one way down there. I can..."

Yeah, but I've been having no end of difficulties getting (any!) seeds to sprout this year, for some reason. IDFK what's wrong, either. I'm not just talking about DDA, probably seven or eight different strains, WtF? I guess this is the universe doing a karma balancing after I wasted "a few" in various stupid ways (drop into cups, forget about them until I return to find perfect little... fully-emerged, yellow, DEAD seadlings; drop into cups, forget about them until all the water evaporates; drop into cups, forget about them until I smell odd burning smells after turning the oven to 400F to preheat and then forgetting about that for like an hour, getting them to germinate, planting them, watering them in... and forgetting about them until they've long gone dry as a bone; etc.). I'm about ready to just throw a handful out my bedroom window. They used to come up on their own when we'd clean seedy cannabis on double-record albums as mid-teenagers before the late '80s hit and everyone knew how to produce good sinsemilla  . Either that or just pound them with a hammer for stress relief. . . .

I always put mine in a wet paper towen & put that into a jar & sit it on top of my fridge (it's relatively warm there) & pretty much almost 100% germ rate. I like to try to keep it simple. Good luck with future seeds. :rollit::volcano-smiley:

On the left, the eldest DDA is coming along and is going through major changes, there will be pollen from the purple phenotype DDA soon. The second on the left is the green pheno two weeks younger and hasn't responded to the CS yet, she has a ways to go.

:Namaste:

The numbers are in! I harvested over 100 seeds from the AK 47 x DP mother. There was little left for grinding into herb, as I let her use up the flowers to nourish the seeds.

After hulling and tossing the soft and damaged seeds, I ended up with 75 brown seeds and 44 pale.

From experience and from reading about the ancestry, the true Durban Poison is a pure sativa, with lanky growth, widely spaced nodes, and larfy buds. It is best crossed with a strain that is stocky and a high-yielder. The DP side of this hybrid is the true Durban Poison that SweetSue picked up on her travels. (Thank you, Sue!)

dynamo.....excellenté! :bravo: Lovely pictures too. :battingeyelashes:

AKgramma, good work! :high-five: It was my pleasure to be able help you out. :hugs:

Vacation photos :slide:

I'm in Arizona visiting a friend that just happens to live down the road from Chris Scorpio. I mean, how lucky can one woman get? :battingeyelashes: Turns out his home was a veritable DDA wonderland.

I'm finishing up chewing a piece of the cob, and earlier I had the opportunity to smoke both cob and flower. It's been a while since I had some flower. Chris made sure I'll have plenty until I get my first plants done. Thank you Chris. :hugs:

So, what does he do, roll a joint in corn cobs instead of papers? How are they stored after rolling? Maybe I could make some up with my larfy stuff for the family.

Have you seen the cob thread yet AKgramma? Tangwena’s Malawi-style cob cure: Fermented Cannabis

The buds are smashed into the cob shape and wrapped in a corn husk for fermentation. When they’re ready to test you can either smoke them or chew them. Either way offers a different type of euphoric experience.

Oh yeah, now I remember why I forgot all about it. Way too much work. And I don't harvest that much fresh stuff to work with. All my harvest is cured already.
