Creating Female Seeds Using Colloidal Silver - With High Brix

Awesome! :high-five:

The flour thing has always bothered me coming from a mycology back ground. A lot of bacteria, molds and mildews thrive on grain. It's the mushroom cultivators biggest nemesis. Worse than mites.. if anything can be lol. I'm just going to keep it simple and drop Gov' bombs :)

Report card on the five experimental early and short treatments. They all worked. :thumb:
This is the only one big enough to get a clear pic of at the moment and damn it snuck up on me lol. One of the two Gobillygoo. This is the branch only. The whole plant test isn't far behind. That one will be a a Gov' bomb for some some other GG's and it looks like it's going to time out beautifully. At least today lol. :wood: She's going to be a great one to have fem seed back ups of. I'll get pics of the others in the next few days. I want to remove most of the test branches asap.

e g, can I get a quick recap of these treatments?

and any advice on femming a plant I will be starting on 12/12 from seed?

Howdy HH :ciao:

Twice a day for two days. The window is about a week or two before flip to about the same post flip. The earlier the better if you plan on selfing the plant. Clones or seed plants seem to be about the same, but I always wait for pre-flower calyx's to be at the very least in the primordial state.
Seems to be working pretty well. I'll probably just keep doing it this way until it doesn't work or I run out of CS. From then on out I'll be using STS so the CS experiments will have to pass to others. :passitleft:

Out of curiosity, why are you going to STS when the CS seems to work so well for you?

I'm a cheap skate :)

For the price of two or three bottles of CS you can make over 100 gallons of STS. I'll be needing that for future endeavors. I'll be running a few experiments with STS also. From what I see with CS I question whether or not the Sodium Thiosulfate really needs to be added. Honestly, the whole thing just seems as simple as getting silver into the plant. I could be way off but only one way to find out.

10-4, I'll be watching from the side lines :blunt:

No stripes but their getting darker.
Knock that little rascal off there and it looks almost good enough to smoke :grinjoint:

Kosher Kush project

Almost as bad as waiting for male flowers isn't it? :) I just broke the lights out rule to pull a quick check. Got one that's killing me :laughtwo:

I have been washing my buds for some time now, but is it a nono when seeds are involved?

Now that's a dang good point! Those oils and grit on the seed itself are important. I've been afraid to try a normal bud wash on a seeded plant because the recipes are for oil and nastiness removal from spraying so much crap on it. This is yet another reason I can't say enough about UVC pest control. No spraying anything short of maybe a few really minor spot treatments from time to time. When I wash a seeded plant it's literally in the shower with cool water after shaking the crap out of it for droppers. Keep the drain plugged too.. learned that one already. They are fine getting wet so long as they dry out immediately. I put a fan on everything for a few hours and that usually does the trick.

I forgot to mention. :tokin: Not every strain will stripe. My American Pie and Super Lemon Haze seeds always come out sort of buff. I think it can indicate more recent land race sativa in the lineage, but I'm too stoned to remember or look it up lol.
So I just plucked a dark seed and it did have lighter colored swirls on the surface but with just finger pressure it squished so I'm going to wait awhile longer. It was 5 weeks yesterday that I put the last of the pollen to it, so I don't know. I would imagine that they'd harden up with drying but what the heck, this run is important to me so I'll take a lil extra time with it.

I really don't see a reason to wash it if you're just after the seeds so I skip that step. Somehow it just doesn't seem right to put them through the first steps of germination at this point. It's fun to watch you guys though :blunt:

Yep. :passitleft: Push that mutha. They get pretty hard on the vine and shouldn't pop, but even the best runs have a percentage that do. Seems like the majority of mine take about 4-5 weeks from the time I see seeds forming. Definitely better to push it too far IMO than be pissed because you didn't. :)

Domina test is big enough to see.. sorta. That branch is cut. Now the Gobillygoo reversals can do their thing all they want. I'm letting them pollinate a Rip City Purps, a White Widow, Lenny and a couple of GG's for an S1. I'm going to try and get an American Pie also, but it's pretty far ahead of the rest. I'm not counting on that one. RCP x GG has me intrigued though. :)

Team victim number one. Right on schedule. Left front GG, right front White Widow (recovery unit lol), left rear Lenny (hiding her nappy side) and right rear Rip City Purps.

Hope all you chuckers are having a great weekend!
