Creating Female Seeds Using Colloidal Silver - With High Brix

Well, I did the deed.
I treated the 4 bottom branches with Colloidal Silver so off they came. I put a little Killer Tea (1/4tsp) and molasses in the water pH'd to 6.5.
Thought if they we're inside that aquarium with the open side towards the window there shouldn't be much to set any loose pollen off.
When it needs to moved I'll just slip a board over the top and not have to worry about leaving a trail.

I wasn't sure about trimming the fans off, but for just a week or so I doubt it'll matter much.

thats an awesome idea!! reps! :)

Well, I have a little update as well. First, I was busy as hell taking down the three big Laniakeas over the weekend. Then, I sprayed the seed plants down with water to rinse off and dampen the loose pollen that might still be there, and once dried, placed them into the cabinet.

The seed plants on the left...3x 8-week veg Laniakea on the drying rack...and on the right, unseeded plants in their 5th week of flower too.

...and some close-ups of some seeded buds. These pics don't show the seed pods as well as the naked eye for some silly reason.

Nice setup Governmentchz.

Is Laniakea a strain, I can't seem to find anything on it, except for astronomy links.

Clean / beautiful.

Thanks guys. I know I can increase the yield in my little eden, but right now I've struck a very comfortable balance. I can do two runs a year and have roughly 3 months' down time to clean and make modifications and not run out of stash. I prefer to do modifications when I'm down and do dry-run testing to reduce possible issues during an active grow.

But thanks. I appreciate the nods.

edit: I sent you a pm on the strain I'm running Beaver.

I know it's not party time until the beans are dropping, but this made me happy today. Stuffs happening! Time to quarantine lest I have premature pollination. :laughtwo: :high-five:

Heirloom, thats awesome!! Congratulations!!
whats so cool is doing a grow and hopefully journal of your own created genetics...:thumb:

I was looking at the calendar today and I've been spraying for a total of 38 days (two weeks prior to flip). 3 clones, once a day everyday for 3 weeks then 3 times per day since. Each. Think I'm only going to use CS to self autos in the future, or reverse an individual branch if needed. But it will be much easier to STS the photos. I have no problems with dedicating a whole plant for reversal. I bought silver nitrate and sodium thiosulfate today.

:Namaste:

You run a tight ship there Gov! What a clean, tidy setup.

Dr Z, hope you don't mind me chipping into this great journal. I'm not using Doc's kit (yet) but thought I'd share my colloidal silver girls. These girls were cuttings I took and placed into flower cycle after 10 days. I started spraying at flip and stopped after 15 days. They are 24 days into flower cycle now and look to bust out some pollen soon.
