Creating Female Seeds Using Colloidal Silver - With High Brix

Good afternoon all and a happy Easter to those that celebrate. I have a nice New York strip roast going in the oven as I type this.....

Well, I went in yesterday afternoon and double bagged the dude in walzmartz bags and chopped him/her down. I didn't even feed it to the soil as I want to maintain containment and my soil bins are in the flower room.
Another day or so then I'll hit them with brix (to feed them AND dampen residual pollen) and move them back into the main flower room next Friday.

:peace::cool:

30 Days has September..yada yada
Well we aint in September..
We are in March. The 31st; and there aint 32 in the song or the month. :)

So this is a reminder the 420Mags' Contests ends tonight, BEFORE the Stagecoach turns back to the pumpkin..

Your right to vote is yours.

Zig,
It goes something like this.... 30 days has September....and the rest I don't remember...:tokin:

I wish pictures would show what I'm seeing. I'm sure you who have sprayed and gone through the change know what I mean. Very very early changes just don't show up in pics the same. Must be that 3rd dimension thing.

You are right GovChz, as the onset progresses you start seeing changes. On my fruit punch I am seeing a change on a couple lower nodes that under normal circumstances would have me starting to get a bit anxious. No definitive pods or anything, but it's not something I want my flowers looking like, for sure. I hope the blue dream and BBxWW make me feel that way soon, lol.

Prolly doesn't help that I'm in their business 30 times a day looking at them. A watched pot never boils.

Here's a side by side of blue dreams, day 20. The clone top has been sprayed for 7 days, so not much happening yet. Blue dream seed mother on the left, blue dream Bruce on the right. I stole the name Bruce and use it on all my CS plants now, lol. Like a Ken doll with different themes, I have blue dream Bruce, fruit punch Bruce....

And here is the lower areas of fruit punch Bruce. Pics just don't show it.

Yeah man, you're gonna have legit boy parts pretty soon from the looks of it. But I also gotta say my plant never looked quite that stressed. I'm sure it'll be cool though.

I took some pics of my seed plants this eve, but having trouble uploading. First time for me though I've seen others with similar issues. Maybe I can get them up later tonight.

I was having issues uploading too. Finally got them up.

I could wash a lot of the silver off. It's mostly discoloring/staining. Some brown from the solution and a build up of silver particles. In person the color looks like bad stage makeup, like something Ke$ha or Gag-me would wear. A glittery dark forest green.

The fruit punch is certainly stressed and stunted tho.

Here's hoping sacks are on the way.

You're good dude. I wouldn't worry (or consider further) about washing anything off. You're not going to get anything off of that plant other than pollen anyway, so I'd leave it.

Well, my other laptop didn't want to cooperate last night, so the pics are here today. You can see the pistillate hairs have turned orange (as they should) and the bracts are only slightly starting to swell. The real challenge for me will be to keep them all happy in their small homes for the next 4 weeks. I have 1 in a 1 gal, 1 in a 2 gal pot, and 2 in 3 gal pots...certainly not the best combination, but it'll do.

The #2 pheno...with the early start of some seeds

...and the #3 pheno...also with the start of some seeds

There probably won't be much to see, but as they develop over the next weeks, you'll see them too.

Rifleman, Congratulations for a well deserved win! :high-five: Truly, You are the best choice! You were chosen by fellow members and past MOTM winners for a reason.
You are a TRUE WINNER, not just the Winner! Reps to you, my brother.
Let me explain to the others. :)
I learned this after checking the results of this very close contest just a few min ago. I got a PM from Rifleman, which he sent just minutes after learning he was March2016 MOTM.
He is passing forward on most of the generous offerings from the awesome 420Mag Sponsors that contribute to the monthly contests, to US, his fellow MOTM contestants!!
Thats a winner, in my book! Thank you, Rifleman!! :thanks:  . I will PM you my choice soon. :)

I also want to thank all of the members that did vote and an extra BIG THANK YOU to those that trust, believe and have confidence in me enough to have cast their vote for me. I love you all! :circle-of-love:

Great job! Looks like you got pollen! :)

It has been 8 days since I could detect pollen sacks, so I moved it out of the flowering room, however, I hadn't thought about the smell... whew. Somewhere I read that you could just chop the treated branches off and put them in a glass/jar of water in a window sill and they would continue to mature and produce pollen. Has anyone tried this, and can you advise if it is true?
While I kinda enjoy the fragrance, not everyone in the house finds it appealing :-)

:thanks:

Ive read that chopped stems of male sacs will continue to open, and its a good way to isolate he/she.. good idea! :)

It sounds like this is a widely used practice for actual male plants, I just don't know if there would be a difference in a female that was forced to produce pollen.
It sure would be nice if it did work though. I'll wait a little longer and see if someone that has actually tried it will chime in. I have 4 limbs that were treated, if I haven't heard by the end of the day maybe I'll take 2 and leave 2 on the plant for awhile longer.

I can say without question, had I cut a select bud or branch off of the reversal plant, it would have continued to drop pollen. It was almost like it was on auto-pilot those last few days before I bagged it. Each day a couple more buds would pop open. I got all I wanted and didn't keep the plant. Liability was too high.
