Creating Female Seeds Using Colloidal Silver - With High Brix

Well, I'm chewing my nails tonight. I got home early (was able to escape the salt mines as security was sparse for some reason), and went to check the seed closet. I tapped the reversal over the card stock and it was like baby powder dropping heavily onto it. I sat there for a second and said since I was there...and it's day 21..., I snagged a brush and brushed every bud I could get to on the two plants to be seeded. When I finished, there wasn't much left so I said fuckit and did a big *POOF* and blew the rest of it over them like open-pollinating.

I scrambled out of the closet, took a shower and changed clothes. I haven't gone back into my flower room, and won't again tonight. I'm still anxious about getting pollen in there. The bigger plants are a week from finishing, so not too worried there, but the ghost train haze #1 is still 4 weeks from finishing and the other 2 clones in there certainly don't need to make seeds as I have 2 whole plants being seeded already. I will gently paint a couple buds of the #1 pheno to do an actual "selfing" , but other than that, I want nothing else to get pollinated. This is also a test of my diligence. We'll see.

:) risky !

I've just recently made two crosses with my lavender kush male with a gsc x uk cheese it's a three way now and my Bubba kush x with the lavender kush I have a seedling of this hopefully it's a female so I can cross her with my feminized og to make my first feminized strain good luck!!

Observation. The window sill pot im using is awesome! There is 4 gal of soil in it and 3 plants. One can grow 3 different plants in a small rectangle foot print. I don't know the yield potential but I'm curious the effect a shape and its dimensions have on the size and shape the plant grows. I will ask in Docs HB Q&A thread :thumb:

It's Sat AM and I waked and baked :)

Me too Zig! lmao, I got up this morning and, after my 4 a.m. wake-n-bake, was busy as hell in my grow for a few hours.

Since the seed plants are all in small pots I top dressed them all with some roots and 2-3 cups of fresh soil and watered it all in. Then I harvested another nice dusting of pollen and set up everything to whack the male later today. I will pluck some more flowers and shake off the last loose pollen and bag him up and dispose of him.

In the flower room, the other unseeded clones got top-dressed too and they, as well as the big girls, all got a drink of water. The bigs got a full dose of growth energy (they have a week to live) and the others 1/4 trans water.

I did the flower room first, then after I finished in the seed room I took a shower and washed my clothes. I'm trying to be careful passing between rooms so actually look forward to chopping the male today. The others will stay in the seed closet for a few more days then everything is back together when the bigs get the chop next weekend

Happy Easter!

So I figured I would share an experience and my thoughts on it.

I've been spraying 3 plants for a while now. Lower half only until a couple days ago. One strain, fruit punch, reacts fairly quickly to the silver. Predictable die back of the stigmas/styles. The other two, Blue Dream and blueberryxwhite widow, fight it and will often take days to even start to die back. That was why I started spraying 3 times a day. But still they were fighting. Then, two days ago I started spraying the top half too. Same results on top as on the bottom.

At this point I should note that they are generally indoor/tent plants under a marsII 400.

Yesterday I took them outside. Actually got to leave them out all night too. But I started the day with an all over spray on them. BD and BBxWW looking defiant and proud wearing crowns of strong, bright white hairs. At noon I went to spray again and lo and behold, all three had stigma/style die back on the tops. Was not surprised the fruit punch had done it, but the other two were a real surprise.

Now this is not the first time they have seen the sun, but first time in a week or two. And their mothers are flowering right along with them. No sun burn.

My first thought is that the sun 'activated' the process somehow, or just really kicked the die back into gear. Has anyone experienced something like that?

heirloom, you are welcome to post pics here :)

Ok. Except all they look like are flowers that have been sprayed and the hairs have darkened as expected. What wasn't expected was the sudden change (in 5-6 hours) of the bright white hairs on top that have been sprayed for two days, to looking nearly like the flowers on the bottom half that have been sprayed for 20+ days. On two strains that were otherwise fighting it.

I just found it curious is all. Under the LED they fought it and just would not let the hairs die. 5 hours outside and they give in. Just a nugget of knowledge to park in the dark recesses of your brain.
