Couldn't Resist A Christmas Auto Grow

Improvement is just that no other leaves start clawing, and the plant isn't too deep a green.

:thanks:

On a PC it's ALT 0174 for ®. On a phone it should be somewhere on a back keyboard. Dunno about what Steve Jobs allows on his computers. :cheesygrinsmiley:

ALT 0153 is ™ if that's what's needed!
It’s not on my iPhone that I know of. CL🍀

I'm happy with them this morning. I think the flush was the right way to go @Gee64 @InTheShed and @Carcass.

From top to bottom
1 - both plants under the light, SK (L) and RR (R)
2 - pretty RR
3 - sparkly SK

I'm so happy with this grow. I feel this time around I am pulling it off. Even though the SK had some brutal handling in her early days, this plant is still putting out pistils and lots of little crystals.

@StoneOtter and @Azimuth, would you mind having a look at these and tell me if you think they should or should not be used in tandem with a super soil? I'll take your word over the the shop dude's any day of the week.

Thank you for that but Shop Dude designed it and if he says to use it, I would.
Fish emulsion - good stuff! Usually low npk and lots of microbial life!
Biobizz- Bloom- Looks like a flowering fertilizer at npk 2-7-4. Maybe this soil needs some help in flower so I'd use as directed. You see very green leaves with down turned tips (clawing) that's from too much n, so keep your eye on that. Maybe go with less frequency if it gets worse. It's not bad now I think.

You can start a thread Here and we can see how it goes, just keep it cannabis related.
Thank you Joe. That's a pretty good idea if people are interested in adding stuff to the DIY, makes sense.

No, not the designer of the product, the shop assistant / salesman.... I was happy with the Seagrow but I'm confused now because I have a microbial bottle, a myco bag, the Seagrow and the Bloom, some humic / fulvic with kelp. I also gave them a shot of diluted LABs. I really don't know other than the bloom, what could have caused the nitrogen toxicity. I am hoping a soil grower can help me because I would prefer not to have the same thing happen next grow. Thank you Otter.

I don't grow with a Super Soil as I do my own mix, but those borh look like good additives as Stone mentioned.
Thanks Azi. Sometimes it can be a real disadvantage not knowing maths and science. I can't ask my soil guy because he is no longer open as a shop. He is distributing through other vendors and farming properly now by the looks of. I don't know if my soil can be described as a super soil. I have referred to it as LOS or craft soil. I don't actually know what the differences are.

@InTheShed is great @ figuring out NPK issues maybe he could help? Any thoughts bro? CL🍀

Carmen I'm sorry I haven't read your entire journal as I got here late. I researched your soil and the Elemental Blend amendment. Do you topdress the Elemental Mix or mix it into the soil before planting?

What size are your pots?
Wow Gee, thank you for making the effort! I really appreciate that. ⭐

In my last grow I top dressed... I wonder how long the goodies in the essential blend take to be released if watered in from a top-dress.

This time I had the spent soil from the last grow, some fresh unused soil from the same bag and I was a bit short so I added some well used potting soil in which I had been growing chard (which uses up nitrogen right?) Then I added some essential blend and mixed it all up before putting it in the pots. The cloth pots are 20 Ls each.
(Then I added the extras that I have listed on that feeding chart.)

How long after the introduction of the offending substance would it take for a nitrogen toxicity to present in such a soil? That might make it easier to narrow down.

I see you were hitting them pretty hard with the bio bloom & see a lot of nitrogen in it.

Thank you Azi. I'd be interested to know how you would introduce monosilicic acid in an organic grow? Shed uses that to excellent effect building his plants.

The Biobloom says to give with every watering. Remember I am swicking, so some of it is top fed and other comes up from the res. The measurements of chemicals go straight over my head. I will see how far this nitrogen issue goes back by looking at early photos. Then we can narrow down a time period perhaps.

Joe, take a look at these updates. I think it was about 20th that the leaves started to take a downturn.

RR XXL Auto
I don't know how to train this plant. There is so little space to get those hooks into place.
Honestly, I would call flower but please weigh in as people seem to have different ideas. I am feeding Biobizz Bloom now.

SK Auto
I have been breaking this plant to pieces. It squished one of it's own limbs when it grew overnight into a hook. Tonight I tried to shift a tight hook and snapped another limb off. Now this plant has only two limbs and a poorly super-cropped stem.

I don't know what is going on with the swicks but the tops were dry so I top watered about 1.5 L into each. I'll take this question over to the swick thread.

Thank you for checking in on progress and growing with me.

I am a bit concerned that some of the little pistils are brownish. I am thinking that they possibly got squashed by the hooks which are just too big for this plant. The other option is that they may be too close to the light at 30 cm.

I hope these pics give you enough to go on to give me a full-on critique please.
I may as well say this here now because it has become a problem and I am going to have to adapt the way I train. I am shaking so much that I am tearing shit off left right and center, and squashing new growth. I have Parkinson's Disease so that aint gonna get any better. If anyone knows any growers at 420 with Parkinson's please ask them if they would be willing to contact me in pm.

Please understand if I take a little longer to catch up with the journals I sub to. I am feeling very flat and exhausted for much of the time.

Best wishes for a lovely day.

I thought I'd try a couple of semi-SaugaViews. They are wet from the swick and heavy imo lol. I lifted them off the swicks and here they are at 37 days above ground.

My thinking is that it's keeping memories alive, for a chuckle. It's not my decision to make though. Please say something about your thoughts now that it has sort of taken a life form. I'm having a bad feeling that I meddled where I shouldn't have.
Meddle? Not at all. :hugs:

I don't have an iPhone handy but on Android it's on the second symbol keyboard. I guess Steve Jobs decided that his followers didn't need to be so uptight as to use a trademark symbol..."think different" and all. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I have no idea what you can access in SA, but I want to point out that there are good synthetic nutes that use fewer bottles than that and will give you the same or better results than trying to sort out which of those additives is doing what to your grow. ;) IMO organic soil is only an improvement if it makes life simpler, not more complicated.

Wow! It only took me 2 hours to read from Page 16 to 29. Sorry I got behind. Your plants look good, Carmen especially the Russian Rocket. Are they both indicas? I know you were saying you needed more indica.
