Couldn't Resist A Christmas Auto Grow

Green leaves and rows of buds, what more do you need?
Thank you Weff :) Exactly... talk about plants moving fast, your second lot are looking lovely and you seem to have them so in hand.
Do you have a certain close up pic of a suspect?
Better thank that... I got glitter pics lol.... see bottom of page :yahoo:
They'll show you, keep watching.
Merci :green_heart: I like that kind of talk :)
I don't see any nanners either. Those would look literally like a tiny yellow tongue and contrast pretty well with the nice green foliage you've got going. There's an example pic in This post here.
Thanks Azi, check out the little buds that have changed overnight.... calyxes popping, pistils sprouting white and... glitter!
You’re doing just fine CarmenR. Your going to end up with some tasty smoke by the time its over.
:passitleft:
Thanks you Nev. I believe ya. The RR has an apricot tinge to her scent which is starting to pick up now. And even the little bent over SK has perked up since I gave em a little liquid supplement from the top end. I gave them some LABS, Mycos (bottom and top fed), some fishy stuff and I can't remember if there was anything else in there, bloom nutes possibly... I'd have to check my record. Check out the little budlets that are starting to look healthier, and some roots!

Some more views of the RR XXL Auto

This morning I tied down the 4th node branches in the quad arrangement because the 3rd node branches are beginning to rise to the same level. Once they are at more or less the same level, should I tie down the ends of the 3rd as well, to allow the lower buds to push up too and attempt a canopy of sorts?

There's an attempt at a Sauga View and then shots of each branch and a bud pic.

Honestly, if the Russian was mine Carmen, I think at this point all I'd do is tuck leaves where necessary and just let her grow. She's a fine-looking auto. :Rasta:

It's hard to answer that one from here Carmen. She looks pretty good like she is from my seat.

Thanks you guys. You just made my day. Just had two hours of power outage and another 4 to come at 8pm tonight. We have no water atm. I love both of the plants, and the first thing I do when I enter the living room is climb on the table to get a proper look. The RR is so pretty I think :) :passitleft: :passitleft:

I’m just shocked over all this load sharing thing and no water, no shower. I honesty would have a very difficult time adjusting to a way of life like that. It has really made me think just how fortunate I am to live here. I now thank the stars daily for my fortune.

I’m also in total agreement with Stoney and GDB your RR is doing great and time to let her go and start stacking those buds. She is turning into a real looker!

I'm so glad you're able to climb on the table without your subs all freaking out!
That did rattle me a bit! But then I remembered her past description of the table as being quite large and I figured she must be nearsighted!

Ok, tomorrow :) The lowers are catching up to the uppers and I am sure by morning I can untie. Thank you for the kind thoughts and lovely words about my RR.

That plant is quite fetching and since it's not stretching I'd leave it untied there's no doubt.
Hilarious! I love your poem!

My eyes are screwed. I'm over 55

Look who came into my garden a-hunting. I hope the meowzer doesn't spot her.

The Bondage of Mustang Sally And Other Updates

Screenshot (338).png

Well, RR XXL Auto got super thirsty last night and I woke up to an empty res again! She drank a lot, fast. So this morning I fed her 2.5 L of water with bloom nutes, about a 1 L down the top and then the rest in the res. I re-established the capillary connections and now I will leave the swick to do its job. I will check again in a few hours to make sure that connection is still there. I know she is thirsty now, so I guess I will be topping that res more often until she slows down again.

I released the last bits of bondage on her and now I will let her go to her heart's content. Leaf tucking is really only possible with the fans. The buds are so close together now and the little leaves coming out of them are quite difficult to get to. Anyone have any suggestions about a defol of sorts?

Here she is with most of the bondage removed.
Only the left upper remains gently pulled down for the day. Will check again as the day goes by

I am getting excited now. SK is definitely getting going now. Her buds are still little and undeveloped, but popping pistils, which is what we want.

Looking forward to catching up with you folk and hearing your comments and suggestions please :) Hump Day.... have a good one.

Nice work! I would tuck the leaves I can and only take off the leaf fingers that are resting on other leaf fingers. It's not like they have an abundance of foliage.

Have you raised them closer to the lights much since they went into the big pots?
Morning Shed :)

I haven't done anything with the light yet. Do you think I should lower the light a bit? Fridge is coming for coffee today so I will ask him for his opinion and help with that too. I actually think he will say yes because I think he grew his photos about 20 cm away from the canopies. Would photos and autos differ in this respect, or is a bloom a bloom either way?

Ok, I am glad that you agree I can remove some of the little leaf fingers.

I added more pics and explanation after your initial viewing of the update. I had trigger finger and pressed wrong buttons ending up posting before I was finished updating.

Absolutely. This is the time they need every ounce of power you can get them, right up until you see the leaf edge points curl up in protest!
Poor plants lol... bondage, now a sauna! :thumb:

Yay, I feel so happy after my visit from Fridge.

I am so happy for them. They finally got the passport for their baby boy and they are leaving us in July / August for Germany, where they will be living going forward. I'm going to miss him. We have had such a nice friendship.

Anyhoo... he told me that he experimented with having the light about 10 cm above the plants and it was too hot, so I lowered the light to a comfortable 20 cm, which is what I did my last grow and he has had success with that height too.

What do you think? Does this look close enough or should I drop it a bit more?

DSC_1454-Edit.jpg

I think it looks good there for now Carm. No closer anyway I think. How many watts?
Thank you Otter. I think it is 200W. This is the info I have got. I measured with my hand now and the light is a hand height away from the light, so that means 18 cm distance, not 20 cm ✋ :passitleft:

Keep your eye on the top leaves for canoeing and burning. Should be ok but a hand away is close.
I won't take my eyes off her :thumb: (I have big hands btw)
