Nev, thank you for showing me how you securre the pipe cleaners. I will try to get some "funnies" for you in pics of how I eventualy manage to secure the pipe cleaners because the docs have taken me off the darn anti-shake pills to try me on other shit that is bending my brain and rendering my hands pathetic appendages that can't do what I want them to.... gotta laugh cos they crying helped nothing.Hi Carmen I took a couple pictures a few days ago of my autos and the beginning of their training. I will start using my carhooks as the plant gets a little larger. I don’t use them in close to the stalk of the plant.
I cut small pieces of pipe cleaner and tie the limb to the fan. And do not twist tie the pipe cleaner. Just a wrap no tie or you can play hell getting it off.
I also softly push the limbs down everyday keeping them limber for when they get tied down. In this photo only the bottom limbs have been tied down. Then in a day or two I will start the next set. I will continue to use the pipe cleaners until we get closer to the edge of the pot and the limbs have strengthened .
I want to keep watching you train if that's ok? I think it is probablyy better for me to keep trying with the pipe cleaners to avoid squashing blooms with fat green wire and inflexible stickss. I adore the CarCanopies but my planties are going to have to evolve into something of their own innate beauty, a style of their own

Flowering Shrink Update: Thur 26th Jan
I would like to understand why my pretty RR XXL has shrunk in height by 6 cm in 4 days.... The plants are both 13 days in flower which puts that at two weeks. I am pleased with the growth tops on the RR but I am also concerned that I have actually

I don’t know? Medication, alcohol? and like She’d said shakes. Fortunately they are a hardy plant and when you get to this point I find it’s really tough to kill them. They’re like a weed.

I've had that happen a couple of times, Carmen...it's from tying the branches down- the force that makes the branches want to pull the hooks out of the soil has to go somewhere, and it ends up pushing the stalk down into the ground- I lost about an inch of height on my Blueberry Hill, and an inch and a half on the GSC. (which had a really messed up taproot)
Plants with a nice, straight tap root don't seem to do it, but If the taproot isn't directly under the stalk, the plant may sink a bit.
Loosening the tiedowns for a couple of days seems to help with the situation...
Hi Carmen, I use to tie my plants down but found it more work than worth the hassle.
Now I just give them a little training every day or other.
Keeps an even canopy & helps to strengthen the stems.
