Hey there 4D .... Neem Cake and Karaja Cake I get is Ahisma brand organic @ neemresource.com - get the "cake" and they sell soap nut powder there as well but I get my soap "nuts" from Ebay.
Bud washing is after chop, we cut down the plant and cut the branches apart, get a few 5 gal buckets and put some water with some baking soda in it can add lemon juice .... swoosh around gently .. can do that 2x then rinse in plain filtered water. Hang dry. This process actually lessons the drying time for the flowers by a few days and washes off all the crap that plants get on them during the grow cycle. I only bud wash if I've been spraying with neem oil for an infestation in flower. Washes off any residue.. oh and the dead bugs.
There's a bud washing thread here:
Bud Washing
It's a pretty active thread. I'm usually only interested when I need to wash buds. Washing is supposed to make buds taste better but I've not noticed any difference...my grow space is always pretty clean anyway and I rinse plants with foilers down the stretch.... gets the dust off I suppose.
We use soap nuts in place of well soap... specially if mixing up oil for foiler you need soap as an emulsifier. Use soap nuts instead of something man made... soap nuts are actually good for plants, unlike many soaps we use for cleaning.
Mother in law... hehehehe yeah well I get a pass, you know how some people wanna just ignore issues they can't really do anything about? Prolly that... and they are from Eastern Europe so they understand how this sort of thing works... make your own if ya want the good stuff!! Government meh....
Sorta hard to be total stealth here, I've got a corner cupboard that has my curing flowers in it. Open the door and it kinda hits you in the face, in a good way. That and they know I have a medical condition that cannabis helps me with. If I was poppin opiods every 4 hrs they would probably be a lot more concerned and rightly so. Been there ... never again.
Diatomaceous earth I don't use it but I have it in hand - the food grade stuff.. Supposed to be a good dietary supplement for humans... I dunno, never tried it.
I use perl-lite in my soil mix instead of DT for aeration. Some of these amendments I just toss a handful here and there into the compost bin.. it will come back in the spring in spades, plant ready.
