Cottage 420's Organic Perpetual Indoor Garden

LOL man ya'll talking peat moss. Hey I was 18 and just got outta alot of trouble, and needed a job BAD. We had alot of peat there too. And they had a processing plant. Isn't alot of work here,, little hick town with afew hundred peoples. Well, I knocked on the door and I got a job there stacking pallets off the line, When them bags came they got sprayed with some glue and then we stacked. Couldn't wear gloves, they wood fly off from the tacky shit, and bear handed the glue wood build up quick. Man, this place's line started at 7 am, shut down for 10 minutes, then you got a 1/2 lunch and one more ten-minute break. Man if was the shittest job I ever did. I kind of seen the guys all wore a light blue shirt and the same pants. We didn't talk much till I said I had to do something on the way home. They started asking me if I lived on the 'street'. Pay at this place was minimum wage. This was the mid 70's so it was shit. Then this dude asked me if I smoked herb, which I did. Asked if I could get some for tomorrow. Come to find of these guys were prisoners from an honour farm. I came back the next day for my check and told him what I thought of that slave pit. It was a good thing for them. You know I use to have the best memory, then you get old, and the first thing tthat goes is your memory,,,, and I forgot the second.... Keepem Green

Been watching here for a while. Figured that I'd say hello.

I sure enjoy the lessons I get over here. I use Mykos. I had no idea about the history.

My preference for peat moss is Baccto which I think is Michigan peat.

Hi MJ - I've been a lurker over on your journal too... love what you can do with AUTOs, completely amazing. I can't get anywhere near what you do with them. You have mad growing skills so having you stop by here makes my day! Thanks for stopping by.. feel free to join in and tell me I'm full of it or correct me ..

Peat moss is a very very cool thing. We have a cottage and that stuff is alive and sometimes its anaerobic and sits of the btm of the lake until the sun gets warm and stays out long enough for the micro-organisms to start giving off gasses that eventually cause the peat bog to float to the surface of the lake. It will cycle like that for many many many years. I've seen the same peat bog sink and float for 45 years that I've seen them do it. Other peat bogs have been floating for those 45 years and likely A LOT longer. They support a ton of aquatic and wildlife and also of course plant life! Consistently the best place to catch Large mouth bass is around the edges of the peat bogs.

We are getting ready to head up north to Canada and we will be kayaking around some peat bogs (fishing around them as well). I'll take pics... oh and eventually those bogs decay of turn into oil that we use for gasoline and such. Over in England and Scotland WAY back in the day they used peat bogs, dried them and humans used them for fuel... I think they still do in the Scotch Whiskey bizz... Pretty amazing stuff really.

I'm full of useless information... hahaha

A little update here:

Cutting WAY back for the month of August. I decided to run the plants that like the hot and high RH. Devils Tit.

I've got several clones of different ages going. 3 I just put into flower. They grow amazingly fast.

The 3 I just put into FLOWER are 5 week old clones from the tall pheno from the spring run. I decided to leave the lone tall girl go another month. I harvested the last run of them @ 50 days. She's prolly 40-45 days in flower now but going to let her run for another 4 weeks and see what happens. She's a little floppy but too early to harvest so letting her go. Nothing else to do really, she's not ready.

Snow High's Devils Tit - Durban Poison x Acapulco Gold x C99

So yeah this plant has it all really if anyone likes a Sativa dom med. She's takes some getting used to tho. But for growing in the heat and humidity - she rocks. I guess those Acapulco Gold traits are strong with this one but the short branchyness of the C99 is shinning as well. I think the Durban part is where the strength of meds comes from.

Definitely not for the casual toker. My first time I tried it, I had a bit of anxiety but know the feeling so laughed it off... brushed off and... switch to something different! hahahaha

Devils Tit - 40ish days in flower.. It's gold it's OK, she's been like that for 30 days or so, and all her sisters will do the same.

Side buddage with the curly ends... all the plants did this .. I still think it's light burn but its not.

Up close - onf of the 5 main colas. No training here other than down low to spread things out a little.

Barney's Farm - LSD: Skunk #1 X Mazar

She's got some nice buds but this is a short plant. She's about 45 days in flower. Going to let her go to 75+ and see if we cant get some more frost.

What else?? Was going to chop yet another Chemdawg... went into the flower room to chop this one and she's got spider mites. Fuck me... So IPM all around had to do this one too and now going to harvest tomorrow and bud wash. Ah well caught it early and they were only on 1 or 2 branches, looked thru microscope... man I hate those bastards. The whole room gets sprayed up down and again a few more times. Inevitable... I took a few fans out of the flower room last week. Probably enough for them to catch hold again. They HATE wind.

Chemdawg from seed.. this one nothing special but she's got a little sweet smell on top of the gas. One of my other Chem-D's had that and the bag appeal was a nice touch.. the ladies like that sweet gassy smell for some reason. I much prefer the "gassy grass" myself.

That's about it for a few weeks while we head on up to Cottage 420 in Canada eh.. lets go fishin.

I'll be here but posting from the Dock and will do a write up on Peat Moss with pics of real thing!

Good times to be had for sure ...
Got to work for a bit tomorrow .

Get some much needed r&r you guys and gals.

Drive by... That sucks,, GL with the mites,, thats a LOT of leafage for them problems to hide. Man that is some massive buddage. I seen people grow that LSD out tons of times with good results. And I've come this close,, real close, to trying some myself. I can see one hella SOG with that one you got. I see 16 single colas in a 4X4. Skunks do tend to produce hella colas'. You know what that pinkish plant reminds me of. I took this crap cola I had, they looked pretty good but they had nothing to them, well I wanted to see what putting a 'flash freeze' on a bud wood do. I sprayed a live main cola with butane acouple times. SOB turned gold as could be. I might donate one of a small bud off one this year and do it for a picture. You've grown this afew times right.. I remember drooling over the last tit you grew. But she wasn't like this one was she? What I'm meaning is this a clone from it?
Well, I just wanted to come snivel about temps.. GL and Keepem Green

Dam bb those girls jus make me start drooling lol great job brotha im getn close to harvesting my non purple purple kush lol i had a quick question bout the bud wash i use baking soda and lemon juice what i was wondering is can the baking soda lemon juice mixture sit out and can i use it for my nex harvest bud wash?? Or shud i mix up a new batch everytime i harvest n wash buds??

Oh yea i almost forgot to ask also since i forgot to get some plain soil to start seeds and clones in cud i use a mix of peat moss from premier, perlite and ewc??

Also bb since I no I run regular seeds u have prolly seen a lot of males n maybe even done some strain croesses but here is my question I'm in the process of reversing a red poison female auto to get its pollen so I can cross it with my black domina photo but what I'm wondering is I got a banana to show up is tht what will hold the pollen so shud I keep an eye on tht or is it sumthn else tht holds the pollen?? Also when shud I move it away from my other females?? :thanks: u brotha man for all ur help and :Namaste:

Lot of bud on that Chem Dog. Sometimes those average looking gals outshine the real head turners when it come time to light up. Have a great vacation bob. :Namaste:

Were here Cottage 420 FTW! Just caught a 4lb large mouth bass, not too shabby. Weather has been fantastic so not on puter much at all..... thanks for all the well wishes... just finished all the beer so we are heading into town tomorrow. The real world, good thing town is like 60 miles away hahahahaha

Blaze - mix up a new batch each time... don't think it matters much tho. There's a chemical reaction I think from the baking soda and lemon juice, so I don't think it stays the same for very long..... its that chemical reaction that causes friction on the object you wanna clean... at least that's what I'm thinking. Not an expert on bud washing. Like growing them better than washing them.

Stop it darn it I love smoking and . sad thing though I always get skunked bro

Yeah these are all clones of the DT I ran last time. This weed is REAL strong... serious shit. I wake up in the AM don't know what or how I got to bed, can't find my weed.... I did that like 4 nights in a row. Had some beers but nothing over the top. Just smoked up like 3 buds and poof.... don't know what happened!

I keep thinking nah.. and try again.. what's the old saying about crazy people:

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.” AE

I've grown LSD. The most potent bud I've ever smoked. I've kept three remaining colas in the fridge. I will put them in a museum one day LOL.

How goes the battle against the Spider Mites? I just found out I have them as well. Was doing the last defoliation before flipping to flower and I checked some of the leaves under the scope and saw them bastages! Sprayed the hell out of them a couple times and let them set for a few days and just unleashed some predator mites on them. Hope it works. If not, I will be spraying a couple more times before flipping them.

Hell, you had enough break, now get busy and grow some pot....
Keepem Green

Bro I had a mini grow going while away for 29 daze.... came home to a major grow.... I have 5 Devils Tit Sativa that were 20" when I left put into flower now 7' monsters flopping all about...grew almost up to ceiling... will do a proper update in a little bit! All my clones are rooted and the clones I planted are also growing nicely... so yeah, I did great for not being here.
