Cottage 420's Organic Perpetual Indoor Garden

Awesome Brother Bo!

I'm so stoked for you. Just got back from a nice layoff. I'm in awe of these beautiful ladies. Those Autopots are just what we needed. I'm seriously scratching my head as to why the AutoPot plants thrive beyond my hand watered plants. I think in the end they just keep the soil at the perfect moisture level for the microbes to thrive and do their thing. Another Testament of how awesome our soil is. And why were having such awesome results

Doing some more digging I've found some folks using coco/perlite and bottled nutes that have amazing results as well. It's just am awesome system. APs FTMFW!

Kimbo the Red and BD Furry are just amazing plants. Kimbo red is special. Unbelievable the colors you've got on some of your latest grows. Purple Chemdawg and Kimbo the Red are some amazing examples of our beautiful plant.

KIG Brother Bo!

Hey Doc I have you to thank for the AP system. It's off the charts.. making my growing so freaking easy. :passitleft: :high-five:

I'm getting lazy...errr lazier. Now what we do to water is throw a rope down from the 3rd floor of our house, wife ties rope around water hose... hoist and fill er up. Good for another 3 weeks, done and done! AutoPots are rockin' Boom!

I harvested 2 of the Black Dog plants. One was smallish and they both had a lot of fox tails. The 2nd one that was freaking rock solid with fox tails I just trimmed. Easily the stickiest plant I've ever trimmed. We're talking fingers, shears everything sticking together... It was like stick'um all over the place. I just finished and I've got goose bumps from the buzz handling them.

I still have a room full of plants .. I started a run of Chemdawg the Purple I took a bunch of clones that are in the cloner now and are taking root. The mother was getting out of hand in VEG even with 24/0 light she was stretching out so checked clones, roots showing. Mother into flower, and she's off! I think she doubled in height in 3 days crazy crazy growth, again AP system rocking.

All I did was dig a hole in the 7gal AutoPot where the Black Dog was and put the Chemdawg in the hole same soil .. into flower she went.
She's kicking ass right now ... wow.

What that process is we call "No-Till" farming. Re-use the soil and all we need to do is add in some more amendments. Most times I can get 2 runs out of a large pot of soil then I need to re-amend or just start over with new soil mix.

When I start over with soil, we dump the used soil into the veggie gardens raised beds and amend that in the fall/winter for next season. You should see out hot peppers .... we are hanging them all around the house now. Always re-cycle and compost. Our ladies thank us for that. :thumb:

Here's a few pics from last night in the indoor garden:

Kimbo Kush ... showing off her fall colors, she's Blackberry Kush x Star-fighter, this one leaning heavier on that blackberry cultivar looks like ... should have taken clones! I was out of town when this was going down, my bad.

Here she is again... I've got a few more of these starting to show colors.

Shout out to MarsHydro - this one is under the Mars Pro Cree 256 ?? I think .. the stripped down model without the fancy control options. Thanks Sara .. it's working VERY well!

DSCN183011.JPG

And again.. Reminding me of Panama Red right here! Broken branch test nugs tonight in the VAPE!!
Report back later.....

Chemdawg mother in flower - she's got some Top Shelf company right there. I'm hoping for some rub off.

Black Dog showing some color - all of the BD is chop ready, just waiting for humidity to fall. I've had some mold on a few tops with this one. :rolleyes3 but considering the weather, heat and humidity and me being not around, I'm still stoked.

Black Dog another .. showing the black on the fans... I wish I had smell-a-canna.. on my celly!

Another HSO Black Dog ..

Peaking under the fans on another Kimbo Kush .. no color on this one.

OMG! Thanks for dropping by my journal! I'm so stoked, honored, blushing that you did. Thanks for the great advice!

You're my PHD here and I'm soaking up as much as I can!

Thanks for the kind works Dub Buddy :Namaste: ... I've been farming organically for a pretty long time.

There's no short cuts and for me; it's all about worm power and granite dust.... those 2 go together like Girl Scout Cookies and Beer! hahahaha the other GSC! :thumb: :passitleft:

BoBrown :thanks: :thanks:

for stopping by my journal. I posted some more pictures of my light. In summary, i plugged only the C power block and turned the light on. and the lights were dim. Then I plugged the 'C' panel into the 'B' block and got the same result.
I gotta find my multimeter, me thinks. Not really worried I pretty happy with the DIY. I am gonna take my time with this. Got bigger fish to fry.

GrateDay.
:thanks:

I wrote this in my journal but I think it's more appropriate here. My friends have been researching Gro Kashi and understand the theory behind it however they couldn't find any organic certifications. Do you know if that exists or are in their plans to get it? That's about the only thing holding them back. I told them that you're super reputable but they wanted to see the certification. He is amazed at the soil pictures though!

And thanks so much for the IPM solution!

from GRO-KASHI<dot>com Artesian page
INFUSED WITH HEALTH

We make GRO-KASHI with conscious farmers in mind. The initial brew is made with ancient red wheat bran*, structured spring water, beet juice*, EM-1 probiotics*, EM ceramics, vitamin and enzyme complex, volcanic trace minerals* and pure holistic thoughts* to supercharge our microbes (* means organic). Our goal is to bring fertility back to Mother Earth

Not all elements are claimed as organic, so they can't certify as organic.

----Claimed organic:
ancient red wheat bran*,
beet juice*,
EM-1 probiotics*,
volcanic trace minerals* and
pure holistic thoughts*

---- not claimed organic:
structured spring water,
EM ceramics,
vitamin and enzyme complex.

Think of Gro-kashi like this. You are promoting micro organisms to feast on bran or some other food source. The output is not the same as the input... meaning the organisms break down the input into a completely different material. The micro organisms cant somehow add in salts/chemicals even if they were present in the initial food source. They get broken down into a completely different compound.

This process is similar to brewing beer or wine. The wine is completely different that the grapes that went into it. Can we make organic wine? Yes of course and we can input organic grains into beer or grow-kashi for sure.

We only input organic food sources into our worm bins... with the grow kashi I feel the benefit of what we get from it far outweighs the lack of a organic certification. I'm totally into organic farming and I'm OK with the kashi. If your friends have issues with the lack of the certification. Easy, all you have to do is put the Grow-Kashi into the worm bin... the worms will make short work of it and it will be organic after that for sure. I do that sometimes.. sprinkle some of that goodness in the worm bin and kick it up.. and Comfrey!

Mini update.. coming down the stretch with the summer run. All the HSO Black Dog was harvested, most has bee trimmed and into curing jars.

Great meds ... OMG crazy good. Berry flaver, smells like water melon. Really not much of a hint of cannabis ... melons in the house! But I'm used to it. Hahaha Very dense nugs - like rocks dense... Vaping this is awesome, fill the chamber and go for a while without a re-fil and laugh laugh laugh. Very nice.

Now we are on to getting ready to chop the Kimbo Kush:

Here's a few cola shots.. I'll take some more proper pics before chop.. the humidity is back again or these would all be on the hook.

Next round - Chemdawg clones - The Purps

Seedlings are:
Purple Kush
Al Capone (El Diablo x WiFi 2) x Wonk$tar (La Confidential x MK Ultra) x (Chem4 Alien OG)
Chemdawg Auto

We started 16 seedlings and got 16 starts. Not too shabby... 12 have been transplanted into soil, the rest will be transplanted tomorrow.

Kimbo Kush Nug shots - there's some Blackberry Kush in the genetics - 3 of the 4 plants I'm growing are showing the red to black colors and the nights are cool so that's one reason I've not harvested yet.. trying to get some more color in the bud!

Thanks for the good vibes there BJ....

YES to: Granny Compost (TM)!

Granny and grandpa know the truth... listen to them about compost. They also know how to have fun and live to tell about it, FTW.

Compost Tea recipe:

1 cup of wormcastings
1/2 cup of Kelp Meal (best Kelp to get is Acadian Kelp Meal, it's everywhere).
add all into a bucket of water (RO is best) no sock required.

Aerate with an air pump or stir occasionally with a wooden spoon.

Water in.. for the win.

Cheers :Namaste:

Thank you BB. You reminded me I wanted to whip up a compost tea in advance of the SST they'll get later this week.

Thanks for the reps there SS ... you know I'm always mixing up a brew of some sort or another.

My better half makes me some nettle teas that are jarred and stored for like 6 months... no stirring required, smells like poop ... ladies love me long time.

Here's some pics of the last of the summer run. I've chopped, dropped, dried and cured the HSO Black Dawg... it's a top shelf med for me right out of the jar. Love the taste and the medicinal effect.

I've tried some of the Kimbo Kush that I'm showing here... broken branch buds.. early smoke report in .... and .... ouch. It's strong .. very very strong, as in 2 puff strong ... more than 2 puffs, I'm on my own = face plant. :hmmmm:

I prefer a good sativa with medicinal psychedelic effect; this is the opposite of that, extreme euphoric effect that lasts for 24 hrs. I'm getting used to it tho..yes I am. Kush FTW! I decided to not vape the Kimbo on a work night! :thedoubletake: :thedoubletake:

I keep trying it and Kimbo keeps kicking my ass. I haven't even harvested any of those plants yet. I've been letting them go because they are really showing some nice color now.. 1 is orange the other 3 are going black (blackberry kush). Here's some pics...

Here's the Kimbo Kush showing orange traits:

Burnt tips and it's been all water this round nothing else just organic soil mix and water. She's ready for harvest. I will chop in the AM.

Next round coming up: Chemdawg the (Purple) Clone .. she's has a few sisters.. I will take more clones off of this one in few days. Flowering time started.... today!

Pics_10_04_2016_008.JPG

So the Kimbo Kush plants are pretty much done .. chop is now...

Hey there brother Bo! Everything looks amazing! Kimbo and Black DOG are rockin and rollin right along. Glad you got that sticky one done lol! Got your message on the Black DOG and the potency. Seems right up my alley. Glad to see you rocking the purple Chemdawg pheno again. That was a true beauty. Now you got my attention with AL Capone. El Diablo x WiFi 2 sounds incredible. What seedbank is that from?

+100 for the Autopots Brother. You're taking full advantage of that technology. I'm going to transplant my two trees tonight into APs and then it's Flower time in docs yard lol. Sorry for being out of the picture for so long but when my Pops had a heart attack, I kind of wilted. The thought of him going just took me down.

Your garden is a beautiful thing my friend!:Namaste:

Al Capone from Best Coast Genetics - (El Diablo OG x WiFi 2) is from up your way. I got my Kimbo and all these beans from Seeds Here Now (seed bank)... hope I'm not breaking rules .. I don't think they sponsor here. I got the Purple Chemdawg from Mandala .. they are only open in Jan... but have a good selection.

I'm actually totally beyond happy with the Kimbo .. all the plants turned dark blackish green with one turning orange and nice inter spacing on the buds and super easy to trim. Plants of nuggs.. 4 zips took me an hour to trim... that was super freaking easy.

The Kimbo Kush is my current flame go to but next day wake up, I'm still real hazy. Like lunch time hazy... I'm scared to vape it on a work night... or not. Every day it gets better and the taste of berries is there in spades. The blackish buds have a sativa start .. since its so green it's a little racy ... but I'm laughing and not paranoid.. wait, turn out the lights, who's at the door..hahaha like that!

Growing our own has it's advantages, right? I need to get back to the cured buds for a change!

I just chopped the last 3 plants of the last round. 2 black Kimbo Kush and the orange Kimbo.. These last 3 looked soooo beautiful it was hard to harvest them but I am probably 2 weeks later than optimal but the test buds are off the charts so I just let them get more color.

My last pics from 10/04/2016 are up there ^^^ .. no pre chop pics this time. I messed up. The plants didn't really didn't change much the last week .. they were done. The dried pics of some test buds are very good.. I'll get them up here in a day or so.

Yeah so on to some Kimbo clones, and Chemdawg clones and I popped some seeds too.. 16 of 16 germinated and we got 15 plants going and they are on the run to the finish line with third nodes ... water pale in hand and....... ready set GROW!

Hey Doc family first bro.. Ya gotta take care of the folks that took care of you.

Round ball ... side to side pass the Karma. Love will be all around you.

Healing vibes to your dad and your family. :Namaste: KIG

Spend time with your dad. Every day we breathe, it's a good day, that's 100%.

Auto Pots.. I've been transplanting clones from veg into the Auto Pots.

This is the 2nd run in this soil so all I do is dig a hole.. put clone in hole, put pot in the base and let er rip.

I'll post pics here shortly of what's going on. I've been busy transplanting. Those pots are heavy..

I've chopped and let the pot sit in the AP system without any plant for a week or so.. the roots start to break down. It makes transplanting easier, the root ball isn't the whole pot after a week. So far so good.

I just sprinkle some mycos in the hole and on the roots at transplant and top dress. Say a prayer to the Mother Nature and the Gods, hope for the best...

More pics of early flowering coming up next.
