Copperrein's Summer 2021 Outdoor Soil Grow

It's fucking hot and I hate it. I did nothing to the plants outside today because it's stupid hot and humid and awful. Have some photos that I nearly died while taking:

Unfortunately the heat just beginning. Your girls seem to be taking it in stride. How hot is it?

Life threatening or not, great pics of some beautiful plants...they appear to be lovin' that heat!

Yesterday it was 90f with 78% humidity. We're about to be able to grow orchids outside here. Brb starting vanilla farm. Today (at noon) it's currently a pleasant 73f....but with 81% humidity. We had a little rain this morning but nothing to get excited for. It's just going to bump that percentage up as the day gets hotter. :tommy: :cheer:

Ugh...you guys <3 Thank you for liking my plants. I'm constantly second-guessing myself.

Also I took a photo of my cock for @Trala

OK SO IMPORTANT BUSY-NESS:

My tent girls will be harvested by the first week of August at the latest (I hope). My sponsor BESTVA will be available for my next grow. I want to get a one-plant tent and combine it with that light so I can grow a Christmasweed. Why not? Even if the buds get utterly coated in various pet hairs and our own airbourne filth, it's still gonna be more useful at the end of the holiday than some poor dead tree. It will be treated like a regular tree (decorated in the tent) and I hope to time my flower so it's harvested somewhere between xmas and new years. This way I can pull it out of the tent a week before the 25th, put prezzies under it, and have it far enough into flower I should be able to skirt around the 12/12 for max 10 days. Sooo:

What strain? I want smell, not just shape. Of my current hoard I think GG4 will come the closest in terms of a Christmas-y smell. Shape and color I think Wedding Cake (I have always loved flocked trees).

Guide me, oh greater mass!

Hi Copperrein! :ciao: Your plants are looking marvelously sativa-ish. Yum. What are the white marks on the LSD and what are you using for pest control? Also, how big do you want your Christmas tree to get? You could likely get away with a good autoflower if you are trying to keep it small and not worry about the 12/12 issue. You might also be able to get a photo in that same tent.. just a thought. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Bird poop...specifically a teeny wren couple that has moved in to the wild grasses area. They like chilling on the plants....and looking back at photos now they seem to favor LSD and the Kush :D

My pest control is thai chilies, garlic, white onions all blendered together then mixed with a little water and like a teaspoon of soap. I let that stew for a couple days and then strain it into a jar. The stuff in the jar gets added to my sprayer, diluted with water to be a pale pale yellow color. I spray the leaves in the evenings until they're all dripping wet.

I kinda want a 6'+ tree so I'm thinking photo but then I look at 420FastBuds' stuff and yeah...

I suppose I should see how I like messing with the Dark Devil you sent. I am trying my hardest to let at least DDA just grow naturally. Being a little bit better at hydro now the idea of a three-month veg untrained plant is scary and awesome. Hmmm....but in a tent, tho?

Ah, I think I saw you post that on another’s thread. Thanks for repeating it. Do you spray every evening?

Just remember, the DDA is a weirdo of an auto plant. There are other auto flowers that will randomly be runts or go weird, but DDA has a reputation for it so she, in my opinion, will not likely be a good representation of a standard autoflower plant for your first time. Zkittles autoflower has been a consistent auto on this site (I got 8 ounces off of her in January - and I harvested her earlier than I wanted to) and I am very happy with the Purple Lemonade auto from FB I just harvested - although I think I will go with 3 gal pots for autos since I feel like the 4 gal bag I grew it in slowed its flowering stretch down a bit. No proof, but just my thought. I will def buy from FB again.
Two of the autos I currently have going are from Dope Seeds. I’ve not grown any of their seeds yet so Ill let you know what I think If that’s helpful! :high-five:

Hey Copper, the DDa, where does rate for you compared to the strains you've had so far. I was been aware of the Dark Devil being praised as special for a few years now, and I am still coming across folk that have it as their favourite. I wondered how you rate it, sorry to repeat if you've mentioned it before.

Hello! Not sure yet, actually. This is the first time I've grown it and really just wanted it for its tendency to freak out phenotypically. I like weirdo plants >.>

You’re complaining about 32 degrees centigrad?!

Maaaaaaaaaaaaate that’s a perfect day to me.

I’m stuck in Iceville! I‘m sitting here in a turtle neck and uggboots freezing my tits off in 14 degrees centigrade!

Your photography is on fleek girlfriend.

:) :) :)

@Trala dude 80% humidity, tho! I will trade you in a heartbeat...the colder the better. Thanks for the complement <3 I used to photo semi-pro and then had a breakdown and just died creatively for a couple years. I *think* the plants are fixing that. Looking back on what got me into photography back in the fucking 80's (baaawwww) was my mom's orchids. I loved photographing those weird-ass things.

@Mdlroad :p to that I say

I got all the ladies watered. I found the cheap free sprayer thing I got with the hose works pretty well so I was able to just soak the hell out of the soil without wetting the leaves and without washing all the soil around.

Not sure if the green fencing was the best idea for a scrog. It gets a little hot to the touch. I'll keep an eye on the plants and make sure it's not burning them.

Talking about doing a giant hydro grow with the man last night, I joked about these cool $1 colanders they sell at our local grocery, saying I could use them as net pots. They snap into my 5 gallon buckets perfectly and are fairly sturdy. He came home with a bunch. I was just joking but cool! Guess I have to commit now.

Well I’m literally half froze as I type this!

Queenslanders quite simply can’t cope with cold.

Morning! Haven't got out to the plants yet because this adorably ugly little asshole decided to yeet itself out of a nest I can't reach. He's getting rehomed to a local rehab. Also he projectile-shat all over my hand and front. Good morning so far.
