Copperrein's Summer 2021 Outdoor Soil Grow

Oh...Dark Devil Auto sprouted yesterday. I transplanted her into her forever home today. I'm using one of the 7 gallon GeoPots I won in PotM. It's really nice being able to lift an outdoor plant :D

Thank you, @BooWho2. This is officially my first intentional auto.

Let's see how quickly the weirdness begins <3

So I use a strain called Critical Sour Diesel CBD for insomnia. It's a 10/10 thc/cbd plant. It's great while I'm actually asleep but I wake up feeling hung over the morning after I partake. It's funny to me that a 'weaker' plant can have more of a typical drug-like plant than my heavy THC strains.

Also: why do the forums feel dead lately? >.> Did I piss someone off?

If ability to remain sane was held in a tank, I would be at 1/8 a tank of sane this morning. The warning light isn't on yet but yeah. Woke at 4am hypervigilant and then proceeded to pick apart the whole fireworks tent thing and why it's a bad idea. Thanks brain.

Anyhoo....as soon as I could see I went out to fiddle with my plants a bit. I found a bee sleeping under the shelter of an onion bloom:

That cheered me up...I could just barely make out little bee inhales and exhales.

DDA and Co. got some rain last night:

Aaaaand once again I have managed to forget to top a plant, this time Hulkberry so yeah, I guess this trim style is the cannabis equivalent of a mullet:

Sour Diesel, tho....this plant makes my panties wilt:

Fucked up getting to 420 this morning. Typed 42. Not dissapointed: apparently there's a movie about Jackie Robinson coming out 20...13. Ok so there's already a movie about Jackie Robinson and I'm just unable to read.

Right! So we had our one week of spring here in the mitten. We're now squarely in Congo-hot. As a result I will most likely die of being old and not handling things like the sun, pop music, and the price of cereal soon. Please put my tamale recipe on my headstone.

I did not bother the plants yesterday because yeah...so damn humid and hot and dumb. They're happy, tho:

I keep doing the numbers game in head trying to figure out when to gear up for flower. Hydro has spoiled me. It's so easy to control things. Soil? Soil's like having your mom help with homework....sure it's going to work and look good...but is it really as much fun as just not doing homework and having to go to remedial Lit during the summer? I think not.

Beautiful garden copperrein everything is well cared for! I was trolling you the other day and decided to air layer in some clones since it’s been a minute that I last tried the technique..... thanks for reminding me!!!
:thanks: Eeeee! Thanks! That means a lot to me! Tag me when you get some clones started with air layering

So when I got home from the tent I go out to check my plants. They're doing plant stuff, looking a little thirsty but generally happy. Then I see it....worm damage! I look at the leaf and try to find a little caterpillar wrapped up on the bottom. I can't see one. I start noticing subtle oddities; the 'damage' is surrounded by veins that look as if they grew with the curves of the 'damage'. Other leaves with similar fuckery on the middle lobe. The hell? Am I really seeing a mutation where the middle lobe of the leaf tries to grow another leaf? There's even edge serrations.

Guys omg wat even?

That's an odd one ..but at least it's not caterpillars ;)

I’m so jealous of your property. Your plants dwarf mine too, but damn... that piece of land! As for your mutant leaf, I’m just glad to see leafs on a plant these days. Apparently “shaved silky smooth” is the flavor of the year. It hurts my eyes to look at some of the twisted bent stripped hideous looking bald plants around the forum.

will the roots grow through the pots into the soil? I see you have a few on bare ground. Just curious. Beautiful job. I can’t wait to see those trees flower in August! Actually, you’re pretty far north... might be September. Do you have a trailer to move any long finishers in/out of a building?
Peace!

Thank you! It comes with its own unique set of problems like old buried farm stuff opening up into sinkholes and most of the land being red clay max 18" down. I....I normally give my plants a good brazilian but I'm trying to be a little less sado this season.

I do have a plant mover that's just an old plastic toboggan with a rope I sling around my hips to pull plants where I need them. I should have some tunnels by then. I think Hulkberry and Sour Diesel are my longest to flower. Point is it is a concern this year because some plants flower 10+

Yeah, the roots usually end up growing through the bottom. There's not much there...everything is concrete. This used to be a big old dairy farm :D Most of the land is for horses so yeah...I'm stuck in this spot.
