Conradino23 Keeps On Keeping On Outdoor & Indoor Using LOS/High Brix Methods

How high above the Kant's are your QB's?

I'm guessing that's pointed at me... and I'm guessing a "Kant" translates into "canopy"... if not, this should be extra funny.

I'm totally right down on the canopy at the moment. Just went and measured.... 12" average.
The current space is 4ft x 4ft. The panels are 3ft long. The fit and coverage using a single kit (2 panels) is just beautiful.
I''m currently pumping them at about 500w, but the panels actually handle 730ish watts while the driver only pumps 600. This keeps me safely clear of the upper range where you can limit lifespan.
I've got a new grow space in the works and I'm thinking each kit can cover 5ft x 5ft easily.... maybe 6 if you get lots of crossover from other lights. I've done some testing, but time will tell.

Has anyone grown the UD in RDWC yet?

My vote is on panels if you plan to expand a little more down the road they will fit in real nice.
hey jm my son is growing a ud cut I gave him in his hydro set up and its big he thinks he is going to get somewhere around 3-4 zips that would be a large yield for a ud but mine grown in soil tastes better!:)

Yeah RDWC will up the yield for sure, but I doubt you're gonna get as tasty bud as grown organically or High Brix in soil as it's mostly about pushing the terpene production and get a vaper's delight :)

everytime we get together he wants to toke my tasty weed but he likes yield so hell most likely keep growing that way I can see the attraction they grow really fast almost twice than in soil but what you end up with is some smoke where the taste is sort of fake and the potency isn't as good either imo!:)

cause it came without the charging cable :hmmmm:
Couple of wagos and an IEC power cable? One off an old kettle or other appliance would work. Just make sure you’re + and - line up right! Right?!

Pretty weird not have a cable but if it’s sold all over the world maybe that’s just what they do ... should’ve said so when you bought it tho’. That’s not a good surprise!

Ok, so electrician... no definitely not me :) Amy, I just might do that, but my buddy's gonna help me. I understand how + & - cables work, but unfortunately I have a natural talent for destruction... you know, things around me magically break up or end up in pieces. I can easily destroy things, that supposedly can't be damaged, so I prefer that someone gives me a hand :)

Getting help sounds like a good idea, then!

Ya I have seen a few appliances that don't come with a plug. Exactly what Amy said - just get a used one off of something broken and make sure you match the colored wires. Electrical tape would work but electrical connectors or soldering is better.

Good luck, Con. Hard to tell - how big is the light. Watts? Light output? I am not too familiar with this kind of light.

Cheers,

It's a 55W Cree CXB 3070 chip in a solid steel cage with 150lm/W output.

I did notice it doesn’t seem to have an earth... :hmmmm: Glad you have a buddy to help!

I don't think there's earth cable in EU systems. The only time I saw it was in England.

Yeah the optotronic is a driver by Osram, I just need to plug it in.
