Conradino23 Keeps On Keeping On Outdoor & Indoor Using LOS/High Brix Methods

Very healthy looking young ones. I have always wanted to grow that Red Diesel. I ordered some and when the pack came, I won't say what seedbank, they combined another ordered strain and some freebies in this black round flat container that snapped together. It was a bitch to open and when I did get it open all the seeds went flying. I found them all but I have now idea what is what :(.

So does the strong smell in Veg always indicate a "keeper"? I have 2 Deadly Sativa's from MassMedical that absolutely reek in veg. I'm still waiting on sex on one of them but when I look through the loupe to check sex I see resin already there. It looks like I see that on yours too.

I have had a couple of females that smell good in veg, but usually when i have plants that reek in veg they tend to be males. I had a Huck Kush male from Dynasty that smelt better in veg than almost everything I had in flower.
 
Funny you should mention that.

I was in the veg room fiddling around and brushed against one of my Deadly Sativas and got a blast of odor off it. And it gave me a visual flashback to the days of growing Lumbos in a barn. So, that's promising. :) And the tall one has a couple hairs showing in the top nodes.
 
Con,,, I hate to tell ya this, that's how it all starts. A small tent with a 400 HID/LED in the corner. Works,,, but a 600 wood do better, then a larger tent with a 1000 watter wood be better yet.. And you got to have a veg room soon. And cloning area. That spare room looks nice and Afew years down the road,, you and the wife are sleeping on the couch and you put a padlocks on timers on the bedroom doors? Naw JK ofcourse????????

But cool on the new lamps. Sounds like your getting her dialed in. I believe plants can damn near use all the light one can throw at them. Now I'm not used to these LEDs,, but I have seen alot of light burn/bleaching of the tips with them. Photoinhibition I think it's called. I've never seen that with HID,, you put a top to close it,, and it's crispy creature.


@neikodog you too... I got a bag that has like 12 seeds in it that says prime mix, autos included, that was a product of that method of filling orders. You learn fast tho. I might even have sent afew over your way Con. Any mystery seeds prime seed?

Sounds like you might have afew good strains going. I got a feeling that Pink Sherbert will pass the Red Desiel before you flower... I hear good stuff about anything with Dosi in it..... Girls are moving right along.

But seriously,if you ever need a small place to start plants,,, cardboard works great. Paint the inside with flat white paint and duct tape the corners up good.. Hey, 2-3 coats of paint and it get really soild. A little PC fan and drop acouple CFL bulbs in there and you got a start box that folds away easily. And cheap as they come.. I've made more than one to fit in walk-in closets. Grew acouple crops in that one. Had a neighborhood punk,,, well trailer park punk, broke into my trailer looking for pain pills. Went to my dresser in the master Brm opened all the drawers, bathroom, all the normal places,, even opened my closest to look on the top shelf and left. I was gone for 20 minutes. 2/3 of that closest was a grow box full of mature plants going and he missed it. And he never found a pill either.. All he found as a asswhooping.. Back them days I didn't mind a little scrap.

Lemonene is the most common terpene in this line. You pop 10 seeds and most of the time you're gonna get a lot of these OG plants, that produce shitloads of it.

I am yet to master the art of FIMming. :hmmmm: My few attempts have resulted in only 2 tops and kind of mutilated looking top leaves! Lol! I just can’t seem to ‘miss’ in quite the right way. So I’m sticking to topping in th regular way - but boy! That FIM job you did on the first one is stellar!
We grow this in our veggie garden. Very nutritious! :thumb: Is great as part of a mixed salad greens - good flavour and juicy too!

It's not easy. It took me a couple of years to get my technique right, but now I get what I want 90% of the time. I believe fim is superior to topping as you get more symmetrical plant, which produces more and is easier to LST.

I actually made a space for veg in an old freezer. I can easily grow 4 small plants there, which is gonna allow me to rotate a bit more. But my tent definitely needs more light. If this COB does its job, I'm gonna order another one and that should do it.

I like these LEDs for the low energy consumption, which is ridiculous if you compare them to HID lamps and I think they are very efficient per every single watt they draw. Bud comes much cheaper too and the quality is very high. I'm not set up for cutting and keeping clones though. I don't think it would be feasible in my small space and I have way too many seeds to try.

I have high hopes for this Pink Sherbert. Not the most vigorous one, but the smell tells me she might be a real stinker. This is some GSC cross and I never grew any Cookies before. One thing I don't like about these plants is how hungry they are. They're calling for a lot of nitrogen and they're eating bottom leaves as crazy. But I fertilised them and they stabilised. Once transplanted into air-pots, they should explode.

Yes I know that seed bank. The screwed me over too. I have 4 strains that i don't know what are what.

I recently went thru the light decision process. I wasn't a fan of the way the COBs have a single source of light rather than the spread out configuration of the QBs. Of course, in a tight space, a COB might be the best answer, but I'm doing a 10ft x 20ft space and wanted the light to be emitted from a more even source than the COBs allow for.
That was my thought process on the choice. I suspect your 'train of thought' travels different rails.

Fun to see you have a little 'expansion' effort planned. I'm smack dab in the middle of some expansion as well, so it's a hot topic for me personally.
 
Yeah my space is small, so COBs should work just fine.
 
So... for me, I wanted the even light application. In my mind's eye the light is hitting the plants from many different angles in a QB configuration. I recently picked up kits consisting of 3ft x 8in panels. It's kind of like having your entire ceiling made of light. Penetration has really stepped up.
I hope to see really good coverage and production using 12 of these 300w panels in a 10ft x 16ft space.

ive been eyeing those to!
 
These QBs definitely look nice, but I'm gonna mount a few maize LEDs to cover the sides, so I get a good penetration. This is my idea for now.
