Conradino23 Keeps On Keeping On Outdoor & Indoor Using LOS/High Brix Methods

Anybody can produce seeds, that's the truth. But it takes a little bit of knowledge to produce HQ seeds. Then it's just mixing flavours of the month together apart of couple of respected breeders!

Yeah I know, which makes sense if you take a look at this profile.

:smokin:
Thanks for this, I just wish I understood it. I've tried to understand the Phylos Galaxy and I just don't get it. Can they really tell whats what? I guess I don't understand where their data is coming from. I get it that people send in plants to be mapped but what if someone sent in a plant and said it was Malawi but it was really something completely different. Could they tell that it was really OG kush or something? I hope that makes sense, it isn't coming out right. I guess where did they get their base information on the strains from?

You aren't the only one. Confuses me as well.

This thing that Gray just posted earlier over at Sue’s might be relevant to the different ways folks get affected by different strains. It’s maybe not always, or not only, the plant...
I forgot to thank you for that link, it explains a lot. I would love to get my dna tested for this purpose but the I'm sure that information would get leaked or used in a way I never intended. It would make sense to get it done medically anyway. They could then tell what drugs would work for you and which ones are a waste time.

I know! The ‘dual use dilemma’.

Thank Graytail for the link... I just spread it around a bit.
I’m really happy knowing what it tells us about why (in part anyway) Cannabis is such a ‘different strokes for different folks’ herb. Like Radogast, for example, doesn’t really experience any high from Sativas - although he grows some nice ones that do plenty for his loved ones. DNA... maybe.

But yeah - I’m fascinated by the DNA check and the human genome project etc. and it’s sad that the dual use problem will always be there to stop me from having it checked..,

:Namaste:

Hey Con I tried to get a few good pics of the WQW but she wasn't as photogenic as I'd like today.
But this shows how she is packin on the frost. And the smell, mmmmmmm.
She's had cloudy tris since week 6! So the harvest window will be a bit tough to judge this round.
She's at 8 weeks now. I'm letting her and the WW go a bit longer in case the CS worked and I get some seeds.
I see no signs of any yet.

It's a cut they got from someone quite a few years back and have been selecting and inbreeding it for years. The new killer Malawi is supposed to be a much more compact and tame version than the old killer. Maybe it had something mixed into the initial cut.

Both of the ones I've had have had no body buzz. They are full on energy to the point where you're almost vibrating from it.

There are two cuts in the Galaxy both claimed by Ace. One is that one I copied and the other one is a pure landrace with some hemp genes as almost all sativas are.

it seems some funky stuff has found its way into just about everything its going to get harder to find pure genetics anymore, so will have to go with what we have in my case its the Malawi seeds and after hearing cons and neikos positive comments about the power makes me feel good about going ahead and growing some thanks for the info guys!:)

Sometimes seeds are just not produced right. They don't have immunity to survive the first few days in soil and they often lack steam to keep going up!

From their websits:

Genetics: P4 landrace from Malawi, Central Africa. Old killer Malawi x 3rd generation New Malawi Killer.

Malawi Standard. Malawi regular seeds.African landrace sativa seeds. ACE Seeds.

Yep they've been working with both!

They do DNA sequencing, which basically is determining the sequence of individual genes within DNA... yeah I know, it's not that simple to understand, but it's like identifying clusters of information with a scanner. By getting inside the DNA you can identify chromosomes and alleles carried by the plant, so you can pinpoint its identity.

This way they can say of a sample of OG is a real OG or it's bullshit and from what I know they got all the legit cuts they could get first from respected breeders. For example when you see berry cluster, it means there's DJ Short's Blueberry in there and they are able to identify it, cause they went straight to the DJ to establish its genetic profile.

Cannabis is diploid, which mean it has two sets of chromosomes, which matches 2n=20. This is how chromosomes look, they're like bowling pins with alleles (variant forms of a gene) that resemble stripes. This is how information is stored and transmitted.

Organism can be homozygous, heterozygous or hemizygous, which is the basis of genetic stability. The reason why you see a lot of genotypes/phenotypes in cannabis strains is we haven't worked towards homozygosity like we have with corn, wheat and other commercial crops.

im sitting here in the living room with the slidier door open and I can smell that ud out there in the backyard it smells good!:)

Oh they can smell :)

You aren't the only one. Confuses me as well.

It takes a bit to get the hang of it, but I tried my best to explain it above!

These are beautiful flowers, man! My WQW is doing fine and I'm gonna send her to flowering as soon as I get rid of the autos. I'll try to drops some pics later in the afternoon :thumb:

It sure works differently, which is why we're on the lookout for this special bud, that does it for us! Maybe it's about singular DNAs being compatible with each other :)

Tent update for your pleasure. No problems, gals are growing, vegging or flowering and they're all brixing up!

White Querkle. After LST I got a nice canopy of 6 tops with new ones coming right from underneath. I hope to finish with at least 12, which is when I'm gonna send her to flowering.

Auto Gorilla OG keeps shining.

Auto Pounder has really moved up a notch recently!

Dutch Kush got much better after she was shocked when I upcanned her.

Sensi Star is also doing very well.
