Colombian Gold Grow: Come Learn With Me How To Produce Your Own Seeds!

The Colombian Gold plant is pretty much the same as this thread. Near completion! I'm thinking 3-4 more weeks tops.

If any of you guys or gals should do a thread/journal where you're making seeds or taking cuttings I would love it if you would bring it to my attention. I would like to follow along.

Will do. Thought about trying to reverse my first dda but she was so vigorous want her to come in for buds. Did start a clone from her and think she has feet now. If i can get the clone to grow a foot. Will reverse her then start some other autos to mix.

So @Kismet you took a cutting off your auto Dark Devil? Something to remember about reversing an auto. You have to start applying the colloidal silver about a week prior to the plant starting to flower (same with photo too) for it to have a good success rate. With photo plants you determine when that date is because you flip the plant yourself. Autos are a little trickier. Generally you will grow an auto out (DDA, White Widow, whichever) and write down the day you saw the very first pistil showing. Then when you grow the second seed from the packet you'll know when to start applying the CS to the plant.

So it's the un-modified Shed method.

Somewhere I explained how a working man or woman can speed things along. You just take the dome off when you're home for a day or several hours. It can be done four or five times in 3 hours in the evening after dinner.

Yes! You've modified your own method to cater to the needs of the working classes :). I modified it further to adapt to those who don't find 40 bales of rat-nibbled ProMix BX on sale at their local feed store. Along with different brand of cloning stuff.

Still, I use the heart and philosophy of your cloning method and made it work for me - rather consistently so far :thanks: - and so I call it the modified beez method.

I'm starting to look closely at the Quarter Pounder auto as a candidate for harvesting. She is 90 days from sprouting as of today. I'm seeing about a 50/50 ratio between clear/cloudy crystals.

So far I have harvested the four branches that I treated with the colloidal silver and torn them apart looking for seeds. So far I've harvested 25 seeds total showing mid to full maturity. If I keep them I believe they have a good shot at germinating. Going to the breeders site I see they offer a 25pk of these for $231.34 So seed breeding is starting to pay off already.

Damn, beez, did you throw some freezer frost before you snapped the shutter? I only saw that much trichomes once in a photo by Doc Bud. That's amazing!! What's your secret?!?

I received an email this morning from @SeedsMan talking about a fantastic sale they have going on right now. You can get directly to the sale page by clicking this link. Seeds on Sale | Seedsman | Seedsman Those of you that know me already know that for me @SeedsMan is the only place I'll buy seeds in the future. I've purchased from them and been overjoyed. Then bought some from another breeder and was disappointed. Bought more from Seedsman.....been overjoyed. Then bought some from an EX sponsor on 420 and they were total crap. So over time I've finally learned not to stray from a solid, reliable breeder. Their stealth shipping is top notch, their customer service rivals the best anywhere, and the seed quality is as good as I've found. And on top of that to have deals like this one with up to 60% off a bunch of good strains!!

Nice job with the QP seeds also. Looks like you're really getting after this cannabis growing thing!! Cheers

@Bode I don't think I do anything special. I would say I'm anal about accurately measuring out nutrients and correcting the PH to within .2 of my target goal. Other then that this plant has lived it's entire life under a 450 watt LED in a homemade auto flower box. It was the plant treated for nearly a month with colloidal silver to make the pollen sacks.

I'm seriously impressed. I wouldn't have thought possible. I may be growing the wrong strains. Well, it works for you. Very impressive journal, trichs, grow, all of it!! :goodjob::goodjob::goodjob: :Namaste:
