Colombian Gold Grow: Come Learn With Me How To Produce Your Own Seeds!

I took a super close up so this looks like a whole bunch of pollen.:laugh: I was able to pollinate parts of two buds on my Tangerine Dream auto plant. Oh, and see what I mean about the lumpy pollen? Humidity is fine but it looks like moisture may be the cause.

:ciao:Morning Beez

That Sure Didnt look like pollen when I quickly looked at it lol.

Hope you get Some fire seeds:high-five:

Lol I must say something else came to mind when I saw that line as well haha!

Glad you got some pollen beez I hope it’s good!

Columbian looks great and still all those long white pistils!

She hasn't been in the flowering tent for much more then 2.5 to 3 weeks. So it still has about 6 or 7 weeks to go minimum.

I wish someone would send me a 15 gallon fabric pot to grow one of the Colombian Gold in. I bet she would be a relatively short but VERY WIDE girl. What do they call them? Fat Bottom Girls?

I am sure there are fabric pots for sale my friend. I was just talking out loud. More then likely I couldn't lift a 15 gallon fabric pot with a giant Colombian Gold plant growing in it. She would be so wide it would be difficult to reach under her canopy to get ahold of the pot itself making it extremely awkward to try to pick up.

Three days ago I realized it was time to start some new seeds, a strain I've been wanting to grow but have not as yet. This morning I peeked in to find all three had sprouted although one is not looking so good at this point. But I'm confident it will bounce back and stand up proud and tall. The strain is GelatOG from (where else) @SeedsMan seeds, one of their house strains. This is a cross of Gelato (Sunset Sherbet + GSC Thin Mints) and a special cut of OG Kush. This is an Indica dominant strain with a THC level up to 25%. Indoors it can grow up to around 48" tall and produces a good yield.

The hero here is the hempy solo cup for germination. All I did was soak the perlite, poke 3 holes, drop in the seeds and put on a solo cup dome. Oh, and the solo cup sat on a heating pad. But once again I have to share my praise of germination in a hempy solo cup.

In preparation of sharing some of my Colombian Gold seeds I have planted 6 of them into a hempy solo cup. I see two reasons they won't sprout. One, the seeds have not had sufficient time to try. Many will argue you can pluck a seed off the plant and stick it in the ground. I am not a follower of that line of thinking. I think 2 weeks minimum drying time is very beneficial to germination success. The six seeds I planted today have been drying now for about 8 days give or take.

The second reason they may not germinate (and this would devastate me) would be if the pollen was no good. Now in all honesty I really would have a hard time believing that, but in reality it is a possibility. I'm hoping these pop up 6 for 6 and I can give some of these seeds to my friends. I do not want to give anyone seeds I'm not able to germinate. Fingers crossed.......we'll know in 4 days or less.

Would the seeds of been created if the pollen wasn’t good? I would think without good pollen seeds wouldn’t even form no?

I removed some leaves off of the Colombian Gold clone today. After removing these leaves I could barely tell I had given her a haircut.

Could it be? Could these be DawgPound auto seeds on this girl? I want so badly to give one a squeeze to see what's inside, but if it is a seed I could damage it at such a young age and I don't want to do that. I'll be patient and only give them a squeeze when I'm trimming up the bud.

I am very interested to see how that tangie auto is faring, if you've pollinated her yet that is... waiting for the right timing to bust out my CS and get to it. Apartment living restricts a lot of projects I could/should be doing.
