Colombian Gold Grow: Come Learn With Me How To Produce Your Own Seeds!

I grew a plant once.......Thin Mint, a pheno of Girl Scout Cookies. No pollination during that grow yet the plant had a ton of squishy calyxes. I'm wondering if that could be the case here.

Although the pollen is sketchy at best I have pollinated at least one bud on each of the 4 autos I currently have running. I have not pollinated the Dark Devil auto. That is in the flowering tent with the Colombian Gold and will not be pollinated. So yes, I have pollinated at least one bud of the Tangerine Dream plant.

Happy New Year to everyone!

This past Sunday I planted six (6) Colombian Gold seeds in a perlite hempy solo cup saturated with 1/4 strength nutrients. That was at 2PM on Sunday. This morning I saw this when I lifted off their dome. I'm hoping obviously for a success rate higher then 50% but realistically they have till 3PM tomorrow to be at a full 3 days. At least now I know that when fully dried the Colombian Gold seeds will germinate when scarified and planted in a hempy solo cup.

Fresh from a 13 day drying period in the fridge the Sensi Northern Lights X Dark Devil auto buds hitting the jars today. I'll wait 28 days then take a taste. I do have some company coming and I'm sure a taste test will be done early. I snapped a couple pictures of one of the buds.

I sure hope it's top notch. It's a very easy plant to grow and quick to trim. The yield was very good. So with luck it will smoke nicely too.

So it's 28 days or company, whichever comes first.

Exactly........If company wants to sample buds that are less then 2 weeks cured then they're welcome to do so.

Mark.......I have a homemade box I built for rooting clones and starting seedlings. The box has four CFL bulbs. In addition to this I have a small vegging tent and a slightly larger flowering tent. I veg plants with an LED light. My flowering tent has a QB light.

I had planted (In a hempy solo cup) six of the Colombian Gold seeds to see if they would sprout (if they were dry enough) and two days after planting them the first three sprouted. It broke my heart to do it but I pulled them out of the perlite and tossed them. They had done their job. The next day sprout #4 poked it's head above ground on day three. I harvested it at 1 day old. Trimming was a breeze. Next day (day four) sprout #5 popped up. This is the hardiest looking of the five so far. Still I have nowhere to grow it so I'll toss it out. I'll let the cup sit on the heating pad for another 2 or 3 days to see if seed #6 will sprout. I poked around in the perlite trying to find it and could not. It may have sunk too deep to reach the surface? Anyway, I'm pleased with 5/6 sprouting at this point.
