Clones In Soil: Hybrid Perpetual Grow 2021/2022

Best thing to do is harvest at lights on.
Ok, how long can they wait once removed from the light, do I need to wash, trim and dry asap or do I have time, like can I wait a day or 2?

I personally trim, wash, drip dry then fridge cure.

I grow predominantly outside so my girls are dirtier than month old bong water!

Update And Correction

11 weeks bloom and Tbh I’m just waiting to see if they still want water tomorrow as per usual, then I’ll know for sure, for sure they’re ready. Oh, which reminds me, should I stop giving them @Prescription Blend nutes now that we are at the end of bloom and just continue with water as needed?

I’m finally going to take out Hood Candyz, future and Sandia Sangria this week, the 11th week of bloom. I’ll do them one by one. Leaving Arise maybe another week or 2.
We tried all 3 and they taste real good, with real nice effects on the body and mind. I’ll give a better description for each flower in it’s own post with a lot more detail to flavor, smell, effects and smoke. :nerd-with-glasses:

:thedoubletake:

11 weeks bloom tomorrow and I finished up watering early today. Instead of 6 gallons of water with runoff, all 4 took 3 gallons with runoff… :yahoo:

I’m not sure what this means for Arise bc she should have a few more weeks left, but here she is acting just like her sister’s, like what the heck lol
I’m guessing it’s bc their grow environment is exactly the same, so yeah, Idk, maybe. :eye-roll:

How long can the plants wait to be harvested once removed from the lights? :reading420magazine:

Oh wow, I just noticed Arise is a “10wk” bloom. I kept thinking she needed 12wks and was surprised she is slowing down her water intake along with the others. I looked at her trichomes and they look good too lol and I wonder why I’m so confused sometimes smh :p

Do you mean if it's harvest day but you don't have time to actually harvest?
Yeah, exactly. I guess if some people give them 36 hours dark time they can last a little while before actually cutting them down, washing, trimming and hanging (not necessarily in that order)
I’m sorry I don’t mean to be that person that just doesn’t get it lol o_O

Ok, this was my plan….I wanted to take them out one by one until each one IMO was “ready.” And I had them all out at the same time, ready to be cut down, washed, trimmed and hung to dry all together. And I wondered how long would be too long for them to wait for each other to start the actually start the process.
But now I’m thinking I can actually turn the lights out at the same time, now that they all seem to be in sync with each other and finishing up at the same time.

Options, I guess I’m looking for options at this 11th hour. I just want what’s best for them, either way works for me.
But does it work for them is the question lol thanks again shed for all your help, it’s desperately needed and appreciated :Namaste:

Oooh, I’ve been reading about fridge curing. I do have a mini fridge in my garage we usually use it for our beverages, bottled water mostly. Problem is, I’m not sure if it’s frost free or not. I’ve also been reading on curing in a paper bag or is it drying, I’m not to sure bc I just read about it yesterday as part of the process for curing in a FF fridge. I think it said to dry in a bag then jar. I’d like to try it out for myself. So yeah, I’ve been trying to do my homework on harvest since I’ve only done the one, which I feel like I ruined it right at the end. Mostly bc I dried it to high and too fast with 0 humidity, right in the middle of the hottest time of summer, so sad.
I feel like I keep asking stupid questions, as if I’m not doing my homework or research lol
This grow bible my daughter bought me last year on Mother’s Day, is coming in clutch right now :passitleft:

I also read to dry in an uninsulated room like the garage where the temp can rise and drop during the day and night time, treating them like they’re still alive while drying helps the process. Tbh this would only work for me in the winter, it gets way too hot in there during summer time, mucho, mucho caliente!

I’m not sure if it’s frost free or not.

Have you ever had to defrost it?
It used to be quite a pita back in the day. I haven’t seen a fridge in years that isn’t frost free. Fridge drying is a great way to control a low and slow dry! Best buds ever (round here anyway).

Don’t say that.

Everyone learns and develops in their own ways. Some research every detail while others (100% me) rely on the opinions, advice and experiences of friends.

I personally hate homework and research. I bought my latest Barney’s Farm seeds based on their names. I legit didn’t even click yield strain etc, not even joking! That’s not to suggest that’s the right way, it’s just my way.

I think the beauty of this forum is you attract the type of helper you need. No question is stupid. This is a safe place for you to do you without feeling like you have to defend your personality type or the way you learn. Xo

Most folks don't have room for a dark place to leave plants before harvest and other folks think it doesn't add anything to the plant by doing it. Of course, there are those who swear up and down it improves the buds.

So if you don't do a dark period, don't sweat it. And I don't think you should take them down before they're ready in order to get the timing right.

What's best for you is best for them, because you'll have time to get the job done right!

If you want the basics of low and slow, here is a great summary that MrSauga put together a while back. If your mini fridge isn't frost free I think some folks with those make sure to open the door a few times a day to let the built-up moisture out.

oh ok, well than it is definitely frost free. I’ve never had to defrost…..yehsssss! This makes me real happy, I’m so excited to have a second chance at drying and curing. I really needed another option bc as I mentioned above, I didn’t cure the first time and dried way to high and fast, ruining all my hard work. And I can see it happening again with the branches I took to practice with. Is there a link to an article or thread you can send my way on the subject? Thanks so much for the info, it’s greatly appreciated and desperately needed. :passitleft:

Tap the word ‘cure’ in my signature.
Dr Ziggy’s Low and Slow - the go-to repository for the science on controlling RH while drying slowly.
In practice, 30g fresh flower per paper bag in fridge, on cookie racks for air flow. Declump and turn each bag daily.
Transitioning to the jar after 10 days (give or take a couple, depending) sometimes bud ends up back in the fridge for a day or two as you draw the last bit of moisture from the stems (rehydrating the flower).
:thumb: have fun :cheer:

I love your way, that’s how I’d like to think I am but in reality, I’m the kid asking, “Why”, “why”’ and “are we there yet?” :eye-roll:

I definitely couldn’t ask for better help here @420, especially @InTheShed, they’ve been more than helpful and patient with me, idk I guess bc I irritate myself sometimes, I feel like I irritate others too :laughtwo:

A flush is optional, if you do flush the media it will lead to a bit more color fade. Some people love to flush at the end but it’s up to your preference.

Ok, where should I even start, I’ve been learning a lot about how to harvest, I learned a new word flavornoid and my first harvest had none! lol
The girls wanted water as per usual today, I should have feed them but I just gave them water instead. They took 4 gallons instead of their regular 6. But it’s still every other day. I definitely want to use at least a 4 gallon pot as their forever pot this next grow. 3 is way too small and I think 5 gallon is too big for my space. I have a few things I’d like to change a long with some things I’d like to add.

Leaves are looking burnt, maybe from the fan I have at the bottom facing up, or maybe it’s nute burn or they’re just dying off naturally idk lol

Ok, I’m not necessarily going to flush. So do I keep feeding them all through the end? I was waiting for the leaves to start to fade, will this sill happen if give them nutes until the end or is this something that only happens during flush?

I was supposed to feed yesterday but I only gave them water, should I go back to regular feeding schedule? Looks like I’ll be going another week or so…..

I'd feed them until the end to make sure they're always getting what they need, particularly in pots that are on the small side. There probably aren't any residual nutrients stored in the dirt with the amount of roots in there.

They're looking great btw, and don't worry about a few fading fans from the bottom. Those are the oldest and will be the first to go.
I’m sorry, I don’t follow?
I think Otter meant that if you flush clear water through and then go back to feeding it will prevent any build-up in the soil. Might be a bit late to make a difference for you, especially with rootbound-ish plants.
