you can see where the better lights , hps etc come into it their own once you have bought a dozen bulbs and reflectors and want even more don't you? Of course the stumbling block is the forking out cash all in one go so I see why people still go that route etc. A shame man. Not everyone makes such a great job of it as you.
Pros and cons between soil and hydro of course but sure you will get to grips with whichever methods you choose, especially if 'the other half' is getting more involved and being helpful.
Keep up the good work amigo
Hey thanks man. I definitely understand what your saying about the bigger lights. How ever Given the heat and coast of running I still choose the CFl's. Though yes I do want more. Only cause even though This is a relatively half assed grow once I get into something I tend to keep tweaking and modifying till I am happy.
As for hydro, keeping it simple. I want to run two small 3 to 4 gal DWCs each running two plants. I am sure that even running a DWC as simple as it is will present a whole world of new challenges for me. Its just soil is so darn messy, dealing with run off, storing left over dirt, harder to read your roots environmental PH, the cat wants to dig in it.. ugh its just such a hassle. Plus the woman wants the pot to plant pretty nonsmoking flowers in.. Pft.. what a waste. haha
Maybe you could use some form of box or some simple structure you could throw together. After all the clones won't get too big. No sense wasting money if there only gonna be there for a few weeks.
A little tip with the camera as mine sucks up close as well. Placing the lens through your magnifying glass will help it focus much closer.
Yeah I'm not sure yet what my plan is yet. I have the bulbs and every thing so thats not a problem its just setting them up some place out of the way. I'll figure it out when its time.
I'll have to try the magnifying glass camera trick some time. I thought about that but didn't think it would actually work.
