I am thinking of buying to more of those reflectors and some more bulbs and having them shine in from the sides. My current side lighting set up Just feels kind of useless. I know no light is useless, all light is worth having. Yet i really just am not happy with the set up. Also I need to get some Nutes ASAP. I am currently using some poinsettia food which is a 15-30-15 and is chuck full of micro nutes and I'm mixing it as directed by manufacturer. PH is about 6.3 with nutes and I try and stay around that when i water as well.
The only negative aspects of my grow right now are the burn marks on the leaves she kept getting while stretching the past week or so. I'd go to work with 3 to 4 inches for her and come back and she was all up in my lights.. the higher I raised the lights to more she stretched, luckily my GF has started taking a more active role in this grow and makes sure to check the lights to see if they need to be moved. So the burning has stopped. Though all the big leaves are now curling under a wee bit. These are leaves that were affected by buring so I'm not sure if its related. the smaller new growth is just fine.
I have been eye balling the Technaflora Recipe for Success Starter Kit. To get me through the rest of this grow and into the next.
Also I will be cloning soon. I plan on taking the bottom 4 maybe 5 shoots as I want to run 4 plants next round, which yes will be hydro. this dealing with soil BS is annoying and messy! as soon as anything interesting happens that my camera will be willing to focus on and take a good pic of I will post it. For the time being how ever everything is very small. The hairs for instance are only viewable with a magnifying glass really, they are about 1.5 to 2 cm long last time I checked them, But they are there and they are real. Which makes me very happy, I have been sad since I aborted KB and Leela. I for get how much emotion and heart you put into growing. Its been so long since i have grown. they really are like your child a part of my family.
Miller yeah i hope mine look like that soon! they are looking wonderful, you are about a week ahead of me so that makes sense. though in 7 days I'd like mine to look better than yours.. hahaha
Oh yeah my GF is starting to get really worried about the smell, cause she already smells very strongly and Its only going to bet stronger as she flowers. The fan I use on her is a stand up hepa/ionizer unit that helps alot when she's running but it only runs at lights on, so the Oder builds for 12 hours, well actually no 13. (I switched to 13/11 dark/light, the other day)I have been seeking smell absorbing gel but i cant find it at any stores. and I don't wanna build a scrubber, no need really. We smoke enough weed that our place always smelled like weed any ways, so i really don't see the big deal my self. I love coming home and going in my room, getting bitch slapped with the smell. Its lovely. Still has the corona taste smell. How ever its getting more defined citrus note. very nice. And on my how she has grown, she was about 14 inches when I put her into flower and she's about 10 inches taller, its weird how the pics really don't show her height very well. Mary bell I still don't know.. Yeah I take the half assed approach because everything is better when you keep it simple. Also i have grow before ad gardened my whole life so i know the basics, as long as you understand how a plant goes you'll be set. now if i could just get some ladies i the house. hahaha
.... I will keep growing MB and as soon as the pistils Pop I will make some clones and get ready to go hydro!!!
On the bright side you get to focus all those bulbs onto one plant. She'll be lovin' that! Keep it up and best of luck to you, buddy!
