hey again every one! So I picked up a memory card for my camera and felt like playing around with it. I got a couple really neat shots and wanted to share.

This is my new back ground. I'm really happy with how it turned out.(click for larger)

I pulled this one off with out using my glass, not as crisp as i had hoped but still really nice.

Those reflectors you have are relatively expensive...heck, I didn't use any reflectors on my first grow...just surrounded the ol' girl with as much light as I could and it worked out fine. You can make your own reflectors if you're so inclined.

That pic would make for a good wallpaper...

As for cloning a branch that is flowering...it can be done, so I hear. The problem is, as Pres alluded to, that the clone has to live off the nutrients it has stored up inside of it. Clones appear to have a difficult enough time trying to grow roots from a vegetative state but toss in some extra time for them to revert from flowering back to veg and it can be a bit harder. I have also read people dosing their plants with some P (I think it was P...because I don't have much K in any of my nutes lol) a few days prior to taking clones as this element helps with root production. Luckily P is a prime element for feeding a flowering plant so it's kind of a win-win situation. Good luck if you attempt it...hope you beat my success rate (0%...from veg lol)!

Lil: yeah they are kind of exp when you think about it. sure they are only $10 BUT then i have to buy one socket extender and 3 Y joins to get 4 bulbs in there. Never the less I am happy with the only I have. I really do need to come up with something better. the problem is my lack of tools. Oh and lack of confidence in wiring. I really need to work on that. The thing that scares Or rather concerns me the most is having such a great success in growing a plant only to suffer low yields because I failed to give her enough light. that would make me sad. So I bought two 42watt 2700k.

Bullfrog: Thanks for stopping In! I don't think I am going to bother with clones after all. I have a huge pile of seeds from the bag of mids i got to make brownies with this week end. So i'll just give them a shot next grow I think. God how i wish i could just go to the damn store and by some genetics....

Also she keeps growing taller! She has been in flower for three weeks now! enough all ready Mary Bell! your big enough.

No, not unlucky. Over achieving problem solver + weed = problem creator. haha Its funny, If i'm in a rut on a problem, weed always helps figure it out. Yet If i'm stoned and just messing around I always fuck something up. this being point in case.

Hey thanks guys. She definitely is looking good and filling out nicely. I would like to add more lights too but the misses kind of put her foot down on spending cash on her right now.. How ever all is not totally lost. If you look at the first pic you'd notice a void in the center of her. That void is from me training her lower branches off to each side, its hard to tell by the pics but those sites get really decent direct light from the side bulbs. though I'd really prefer to have two more of those reflectors with 4 bulbs each on them. but that would be another $30 the misses wont let me spend.

Oh hey yeah so thanks to the misses spending freeze I never got the nute pack i wanted that had the cloning gell and i have yet to clone, now the lower branches i was saving for clones are starting to flower. My question is, is it too late to clone them if they are forming buds?

I got the stink eye for my spending, "but it's only one time investment.." that's how I put it, it was true because after my first grow the second was all paid for nutes and light and cfl's..

I saved a ton of money cause in the end the $250 or so bucks on nutes and lights have produced me that plus some.

I don't want you telling your girl "but honey sisco says..." Na, bro.. don't be getting me all in the honey-bucket! lol

Now go sell your beer cans and cut the neighbors lawn, go get ya a 42 watt for 8.99 and put it at top and use your 23 watters around the sides to get all them bud sites or clone that girl cause it looks like a great mother plant.. OK OK re-veg and clone after harvest.

Hey Lil N, I noticed your comment and was wondering a few things. Did your clones always look doomed from the start or did they look fine and then just fade away on you.

I cut five of my first clones and most appear the same as when cut so I was just trying to figure out if I am in the safe anyway. I did not realize it could be that hard.

Pres, I think mine were having some issues prior with nute lockout and thus may have been a little weaker. They did have a dose of some extra P a week prior to help with new root growth but I think I let the plugs get too dry a few times and along with the thrips that spelled disaster. Keep 'em moist for sure....I also don't know how good the cloning gel I had was (Advanced Nutrients Juicy Roots...free sample from the grow store). None of them really seemed to develop much in the way of roots over the three weeks plus and I had scraped the stems and split them up the middle too. *shrugs* Hope you have better luck!

Lil N, thanks for the info! Being my first and working without the recommended products, I thought my outcome was going to smoothly. Then I saw your comment and thought yup, going to good. lol... So just wanted to clear that up to see if may still be in the danger zone so to speak.

Mine didn't take a bad turn for the worse until around the 1.5-2 week mark...after that it was steadily downhill but again I'm pretty sure a fair portion of that was being a newbie to cloning, not just the pests.

Hey every one, sorry about lack of updates or anything. Was on vacation the last few days. Nothing like a few days at the beach, smoking, eating some killer weed blondies, getting drunk to make you feel good.. well here is a few photos. quality is low as the camera was running low on juice since i used it heavily at the beach.

Bud development is goings slower than I'd hope for. I mean, yeah, she's filling out. But super slowly. I am hoping to harvest 2nd week of July*. so she has plenty of time to bulk up. But I am worring that she's not going too... *sigh* I worry to much..

* planned date, but the plant ultimately has the final word on this.

You got great plants going on. Plenty of time - no worries at all about bud formation! Looking great.

As for your question from a few days ago about clones - you can take them pretty much any time. They will take a little longer to root and return to veg if you take budding clones. But if you top them when they're small, it triggers hormones and they branch far more than a regular clone. FAR more. Also, you don't need a mom. You can wait til about the 3rd/4th week of flower and take your clones. By the time they root and veg, your other plants will be done and you'll have plants ready to move in there.

EDIT: Also, there's no law that says you have to use rooting hormone. I've recently learned that baking soda may work pretty dang well! And if you have some branches down low that you'll be trimming anyways - why not take a clone, dip it in baking soda, and put it in a pot of potting soil? Put a clear plastic baggie over it for a dome. At the very least it'll give you a dry run on cloning.

Hey guys, well the smooth fun ride that has been this grow is coming to a end. Theres bumps ahead and it don't look fun! Its a terrible time to have no batteries for the camera. She's looking pitiful, she's got a bad case of the claws and brown spots running the length of her leafs. Sounds like a K deficiency to me, but I just dont know. I took some soil and soaked in water that was at 7.0 and it tested at about 6.3 so I'm pretty sure the Ph is good so it cant be lock out. Or it could be... ugh this sucks I'm going out of town tomorrow through Tuesday. Typical woman always giving me grief at the worst time possible... I'll try and buy batteries later but I'm stuck with out a car or cash at the moment so its gotta wait.. fucking bitches.. I dont mean that, I love my bitch.. <3 but damn. so yeah what do you all think i should do. I was considering a flush and a feed..
