Cherries DubeLee In A S.I.P. - An LOS Grow

Hey Weff, only the bud I touched with pollen will make seeds if I did it right and no pollen blows around to the rest of the buds. Hence the water spray, to kill any unwanted pollen. The whole rest of the plant will be seedless.

The refractometer I think, I'll be able to see if or how much a plant likes an input or not with it someday.
Just spray the forth node. . I got 7 seeds out of it. 7.

sounds like a good safe plan to me on making the/more seeds . Never got to do it but was/was on the list .
Works so far. This time pistols doesn't look all krinkled as usual. We'll find out.
Yo stone I need some help. Do I buy a boat or turn my basement into a garden for food. Or buy a boat to fish.
Less work for garden. More work fishing . And I probably can grow enough food in basement all year. But fishing in winter time. Hell no. Help sir. I'm conflicted
The way I see it both. If you can afford and keep a boat, you can have both.

On second thought, the boat will make you broke and busy. I had boats and they break and are $$$$ to keep afloat. So no boat unless it's tied to a float in a marina and is new or newish. So much money to keep a boat! So much work to keep a boat! Otherwise there's nothing like it! :cheesygrinsmiley:

POLLINATION IS A GO I'M THINKING UPDATE

On second look I'm seeing a proper drying of pistols on the bud I dusted the other day so I'm thinking there's going to be some seeds! Here's how it looks.
Top pollinated bud.
Next set of buds down the shoot to compare with.

It's already hump day! The rest is a glide.

Highya SO,

Looks like you'll have seeds in about 5-6 weeks! Congrats. It's always fun to grow something new, and not know what to expect. I've been quite surprised in the past from something that looked awful. You just never know! Oh, btw, we got a foot of snow yesterday. But temps are nice, and the ice is melted away, so just a lot of snow in the way!! Seems like winter. Happy Smokin'

Funny winter showed up so late this year, but she came! A foot is a good one. We got almost nothing, an inch of slush. A good workout for me.

I'm kind of getting a good feeling for f2 seeds. I read there can be interesting past genetics show up at this f number for whatever reason. Surprises can be fun!

Thanks @StoneOtter! I actually had this question pop into my head as I was drifting off last night.... a paper bag, fans off, carefully painting pollen :- When I put those together it's kinda obvious you just pollenate the one branch and not the entire plant  Doh!

That's super cool and interesting, so many possibilities with this plant It's incredible :cheer:

WOOHOO! WE HAVE AN AWAY GROW!

On occasion my brother in law has a grow and it's on now! He had 3 Wedding Cake clones to grow and he took 3 Cherries DubeLee's of mine. He'll be using @Remo Nutrients for this one! I'm into a jar of his Wedding Cake grown with Remo nutes and it's a beautiful tasty powerful smoke! I'm looking forward to this grow! I check in now and then so I can show you all his work.

nice away group , So when the buds come on w/seeds and are ripe don't they produce pollen also ?
No, only male flowers or nanners produce pollen.

So what Mel said. If I had reversed a female to male there would have been some of that happening. This method is straight up one time with pollen.

COOL TOOL FAIL UPDATE

Hi and happy THURSDAY all! While I visited my BIL yesterday I borrowed an endoscope used in plumbing. It's new so I figured why not? My pot has a hole to investigate!

So I tried and found a blockage to enter said hole. Bummer! I did get a couple of pics angled down and in. There's roots in there swimming in the tank!
Here's what I have!

Looks like a lot of them in there! I took the pic before morning water. I think they are high and dry and will get drenched when watered. Wish I could have fit the camera in! Oh well.
Peace
