Cherries DubeLee In A S.I.P. - An LOS Grow

Darn right it does! You can even call them any of their alias's!
Shrimp has Alias's ? Didn't know that. Probably has to have an Alias they are so "WANTED".
I could eat Steak & Shrimp everyday & never tire of it. But the Shrimp has to be the Jumbo Breaded & Deep Fried kind.
None of that butterflied stuff. That looks too gross to eat.
I can't believe how many of you like Catfish. Most the people I knew that caught a catfish would throw it back because it's a scavenger fish that eats shit off the bottom of the lake. Seems there are a lot better options.... maybe Trout or Perch.

Catfish is the tastiest! I had it in Texas like Emilya was describing. It was my dinner every night when I was in Houston for a 2 week seminar! I can't discern it from cold ocean water fish. That sweetness is there to me. I'm more a fan of ocean than fresh only because that's what I know. Catfish is equal every day, eel comes in close. Cat is nIce and sweet in fresh water, as flounder is to the ocean to me, another bottom dweller I love. I can't find it here but a few places, and only in a fish market. Shrimps other names I know of are prawn and langostinos.

Farm raised and fed grain but some people eat the other. People eat lobsters and crabs but guess what? Same thing bottom feeders aka scavengers.Lmao 😂 CL🍀 :cheesygrinsmiley::Namaste:

SATURDAY MORNING BUD'S A DAWNING UPDATE

Hello and happy Saturday everyone! Made it! Doesn't matter to this plant having every little thing taken care of constantly in her SIP!
She's starting to bulk up her buds now being 26 or 8 days from flip. Looking back on the Wedding Cake seed mom that flipped on Dec 13 and got cut on Feb 10 I'd say she has a chance to be a fast flowerer. 59 days. That leaves a possible 30 day window to finish as the pen writes. We're about to find out how real that is.
Here she is yesterday.

She's resembling her mother in a big way so far.
Everyone have a great day. Shovel slow and high and take breaks, and if you have a cold Dr Otter says chicken soup for breakfast and lunch. Any soup and lots of h20 all day and night please! Thank you.

Highya SO,

I can see the bud you gave pollen to in the first picture, bottom right. Looks like you'll have a few seeds!! The buds look gorgeous, too! 30 days would be great! Just in time for spring!! This is the second time this week we're getting a foot or more of snow!! I'm glad it's into March. Hope it won't stay long. Our rivers and lakes are already overflowing. Will be a time when everything thaws! I mostly live on soup in the winter! Different kinds, savory, stick to your ribs soup to warm up an old man's winter soul!! Stoners can make some tasty stuff!!! Keeping the home fire burning today!! Happy Smokin'

Soup,Stews and Chili are my winter favorites. Thankfully we got missed by the 6”-8” and it didn’t even hardly rain. Folks in Northern Indiana got the brunt of it. I say better them than us. St.Paddy’s Day is right around the corner and hopefully an early Spring. Fingers crossed 🤞. CL🍀

Mmmmm...Chili for me - sometimes with a bit of decarbed dust in it!!
May need extra today....not the deepest snow I've ever done but I've never had the blower stuck so many times!!! I hope this is the end of it!!!

Damn looking good stone! I’d love to try my hand at crossing strains just to see what’s possible and to say I’ve done it purposefully at least once 😂

Maybe one day I’ll have a lucky male plant and introduce him to a grow room of 40 virgins before killing him…
I just fear the idea of trying to pollinate 1 branch with my luck I’d sneeze or yawn and blow the stuff everywhere 😂

It sticks out like a sore thumb now you mention it! Sometimes I get surprised at the amount of seeds a bud can give. Good pollen on a bud like that can make 200 seeds or I've had some 5 or 6 even 1 or 2 if it wants to.

Oh man! Do your stretching! We got 3 inches of slush. A real pita! The old snow blower just made it! Had to clear slush boogers out a couple dozen times but it blew...ish. It wont last Bode!

Gotta soup it up here in winter. My last was split pea with a smoked shoulder bone. YUM!
She's chugging right along Otter ,you got it under control ! Looks Good :yummy:
I think so Smokes! Every day a new bud view!

St Paddy's Day is my marker for better times every year!

It felt like the end right up to when it wasn't this way! :)

Haha! Your planning the job already I see! I use a mask so my breath doesn't blow the pollen around. You'll do it one day when you're right with everything I'm sure Loots!
Your plant is looking really good. Have you smoked this strain before ? How is it ? Indica or Sativa ? I'm guessing Indica from the node spacing.
Hey Buds, her mom is a Wedding Cake and Pollen donor is Chunky Cherry Thai so a mix. I'd call it indica dominant. This is it's first time grown! I'm dying to have a taste!
Just cruising through to say I can't smell it but I can still
I'm glad to see you're up for it! My Thanksgiving covid event did that for a day or three and came back well. Chocolate was the first thing I tasted. It was a glorious sign of better times! To drool is too cool!
That's great Shed and a good sign, a positive mental attitude! Hope you're soon feeling much better.
positive mental attitude
PMA is what I've refer that to myself. Have for decades, read the book when I was a kid!

Man, it's waaay more fun growing SIPs with everybody journaling it now. You guys rock.

For anyone curious about the refractometer and Brix measurements, you can buy them really cheap online and they seem to work fine. I have a couple of different ones, used for wines and weed, but they only cost 20$-30$ if you want to have a play. Named after Adolf Brix, Brix is the measurement of sugar crystals in the water content in plants measured with a refractometer. If you are looking to harvest your marijuana, you would want to wait until your plants measure between 12%-15% Brix. There are some cannabis strains available that are said to have higher Brix content (20% +).

Brix is a simple and easy way to find yet another target to shoot for on the growing adventure! Some people need the numbers, some are just curious, and some are Brixaholics! What's really important about growing, I think, is that we're learning, hand's-on, about this wonderful planet we're from and its endless natural delights. A healthy, necessary, diversion from our daily fare of power-mad billionaires and democracy's death throes.

Super helpful and interesting, thanks @ReservoirDog !! I did a brief search on it last week but that makes it super clear, I'll be picking one up soon i reckon!

@StoneOtter She's looking really happy mate! :goodjob: I'd love it if my girls showed that much joy at existing although I suppose she did just get inpregnated  I aspire to reach those plant happiness levels in future :cheer:

Me too! It doesn't happen every plant. Maybe in SIP though. I'll be happy to try!

We stopped but it was a no miss thing to have a blowout at my place on the day! We'd cook 40 lb's of corned beef and all the fixins. Big open house all day affair! I'm a happy drunk and proved it every time!
