Carnival: A Community Grow Experience

Wow Dave, TOAST's cloning technique has me spoiled with these big-ass clones I take. I never clip leaves on mine, and it's never made a difference. I've never understood why this is done with clones. Do people really have that much trouble with cloning that it requires you to damage the cutting? I take one cut per plant, that's it, and they typically take up to two weeks to root, but I'm running 100% success with those effortless produce bags.

This is cool. We get to watch each other's plants develop in the same timeframe, same strain, same soil. :slide:

By trimming the leaves, you put all the plants effort into making roots...at least that is what I have read and it seems to work. This clone was 12 days since I took her.❤️

Nice! Mine was 12 days too, and I'm only two days ahead of you. They're almost like twins Dave. :laughtwo:

I was checking the girls before I forced myself to get off the iPad and into bed and found a visitor on Carnival 4. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Goodnight everyone :battingeyelashes:

Graduation Day

Today was Graduation Day for my Carnival. A busy day in and out of the garden, so all I have to show is one canopy photo.

Carnival on her way in to the flower area, freshly wet from her foliar shower. Key measurements: 18" high with a 20x20" canopy.

Oh wait, I can take more photos . . .

Carnival in the front of the flower area. (Forgive the droopy sativas behind her, it's after their bedtime.)

Nice size Rad. She's gonna blow up for you. :yahoo:

I didn't notice this in the first post, but it appears you have both pre-flowers and parallel branching.

In every plant I've grown, pre-flowers don't emerge until just after the branches stretch to alternate.

I've never noticed branches switch back from alternating to parallel.

I've been trying to wrap my head around you taking clones at 15 days into flower. At 15 days, my flowers are usually 'set.' And now I see you have parallel branching. I've never tried to put a girl into flower before she switches to alternate branching. It seems unnatural, like making a virgin into a vampire.

Am I seeing what I am seeing, or missing something?

I've never seen it happen either Rad. Caught me completely by surprise. Here's the CBD Critical Cure, taken at the same time.

She's acting like we expect, alternating the branches. The Carnival cut, on the other hand, looks for all the world like I started her from seed.

While I'm here........

I love having two Carnivals in bloom together. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart: My tent full of Carnival :slide:

I think it's been three days from first CAT. :slide:

Finally flipped my one Carnival. I should clone her but I won't. Growing from seed has just been so easy for me. I would hate to mess up somethi ng that wasn't broken.

I am so freaking excited to see her again. :slide: She's beautiful. One of these days I'll run a Carnival clone that'll make you rethink that seed statement.

Can you believe I just said that Graytail? :laughtwo:

Oh Rad, make me proud. :hugs:  She looks so much like one of yours Rad it's amazing. Lol! Beautiful leaves, and I love her structure. She's definately setting the buds. Beautiful camera work. :high-five:

And a new clone. :woohoo:

The family grows. Welcome little one

Ahhh...... now I can go to bed. :kisstwo:

Oh Dave, I can smell it from here. :laughtwo: Those are some special buds Bud. :high-five: Thinking of trying some fresh harvest infused with her? :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

Nice one Dave, sure puts a new perspective on flushing.

I is the easiest place for me to trim. I sit on the edge of the tub and trim into a bucket. Anything that misses, just gets swept up off the tub floor and added to the trim pot. I can also keep the bedroom and the bathroom door closed and or locked for privacy. You never know who might stop by. :) :circle-of-love::peace:
