Carmen's Winter Autos With ViparSpectra XS1500 Pro!

I felt like taking pics
I love that you took pics! And I loathe those earwigs! Omg they are all over the yard!

To see if it's possible to get it too green at this point I guess.

Sometimes I think there is an improvement in G1 and sometimes I stare at it and think it looks the same as it has for the past week.

Guys are we sure this Parmesan is an auto flower? I mean the flowers have barely any pistils. It's 7 weeks old. I mean seriously, will these flowers finish in 5 weeks? It's due date for harvest was 11 August 👀

G2 is happily sunning itself away under the @ViparSpectra XS1500 Pros!

Happy growing to you and enjoy the weekend!

Looking good Carmen!

So I had a skunk auto last year and it took forever! She got really tall and spindly during stretch and then her pistils took forever to bud and the buds took forever to finish. She was pulled 11 weeks after sprout!

When I zoomed in on the first pic before I read any further I said to myself that it definitely looked better!

If you grew up it under constant light and it's flowering, it's an autoflower! Like Kriss said, some of them are just sloths. :)

Thank you Krissi! Doesn't Cheese have Skunk #1 in it?

Brilliant! Thank you!

Ok :) These autos are crazy plants. They are so unpredictable. I've been looking at different auto growers and how they handle plants. Even though each grower has his or her own style and routine, with remarkable successes, the autos are boss it seems, when it comes to time!

It sure does!!! Parent #1! I figured with the Cheese varietal, maybe we had a one in the same thing going on!

I started off only doing autos but I will never give up growing them even with me running photos, because I love growing them so much-#1 reason- that unpredictability factor!!!

They are amazing in that you just never know and I love that being on the edge of my seat and having switches and changes in my grows challenge...aaaand for the most part, we get to smoke em quicker so I'm like heck yea, crazy or not, I will always enjoy running autos.

Absolutely! I love being physically engaged with my plants. For me active growing is enjoyable and I like being kept on my toes. I LOVE that autos finish quicker and pretty much guarantee smoke at the end.

When I first saw your Cheese seedling I thought it resembled my seedling and then I thought naah auto, can't be. Maybe these are skunky characteristics. That's so cool! I love a good Cheese. Yummm, looking forward :passitleft:

Omgosh...me too! I honestly feel connected to them in some way, I know it sounds bizarre but I do! And I think that our engagement with them goes a long way and compliments the plants inherent ability to do what it does and produces a much healthier and rewarding grow in return.

Listen, Blue Cheese is one of my favorite autos! Being you and your newfound cheese love and love for autos, if you haven't ran it yet, please do! It has 2 favorite parents: Blueberry and Skunk #1. Think you would thoroughly enjoy the smoke and taste and aroma-it's tantalizing!

I will look out for it definitely. I love Blueberry on its own and Exodus Cheese is an old favourite for flavour and couchlock. I'd love to try Blue Cheese.

It's like a craft don't you think? It's an art to grow gorgeous weed and it's such fun and an honour to know an elite bunch of dagga growing artists 🤩 #weednerds

Cannabis cultivation is art on steroids. I utterly and wholeheartedly agree-taking care of them comes back tenfold because we get to interact with all the other inspiring weed nerds in the way we do. That in itself, seeing all the grows, is such an inspiration.

Gelato auto 1

Last watering was on 3rd. Yesterday the towel was no longer damp so I took her off the towel and put the pot onto a cake rack in a pot saucer. The saucers do fit after all.

Do I call today flower day 1?

The last watering to runoff was 4th August. Yesterday I removed this plant from its towel too for the same reason, the towel was no longer getting wet.

Today I replaced the small pipe cleaner bends I use as "training wheels", with training hooks. I had to tape together two BBQ sticks to get enough length. I used duct tape. I didn't think it would be strong enough but it is. Thanks @InTheShed.

There was a discussion in one of @StoneOtter's threads about using training hooks to level canopies that is very well worth reading.

I'll explain what I am doing with my hooks because I do use them on the lowers as well as the uppers, but more as directional hooks to pull them into a shape that allows for all growth tips to see the rays from the @ViparSpectra XS1500 Pro! I loosen them and rearrange them as the plant grows to remove apical dominance and attempt an even canopy.

You can read the discussion here:

I'm never sure why it matters but I'd definitely say yes!
A few reasons for me. So I can have a vague sense of when harvest approaches and can plan ahead. This plant was meant to be harvested on 11 August per breeder description. Also because I called flower too early, 16 days ago when I thought I saw a pistil or two. Learning curves and self-doubt I guess.
And beautiful flowering Carmin!
Thank you Otter. I adore flowering time 🌼🌼🌼

Greetings and good wishes for a fresh start to a new week.
