I'll be keeping the res filled while the soil dries out because those roots are what's keeping the buds in bloom!

I didn't mean a completely dry res. I was sort of thinking of moist perlite, to keep the roots hydrated while trying to establish a balance with roots to soil, but I don't know how you'd achieve that.I'll be keeping the res filled while the soil dries out because those roots are what's keeping the buds in bloom!
Conclusion:Is it even possible to not check on the plants? Most folks can only do that by getting the heck out of town!
Thank you for the reminder. When I had it on a swick it was drinking about 2 L of water per day, so I gave it another 2 L on the top today with fish hydrolysate, microbes, molasses, and mycos. There was no runoff. The last drink I gave them was 2 days ago. I had taken it off the towel but it is back on now. All this precious flowering time. and there is no change in appearance yet. I'm glad I have the second Gelato.Who doesn't like a clean undercarriage! Do you have a towel under G1 to soak up some of the water?
Thank you Krissi. Somehow hearing you say that makes me feel more confident that I will get the water balance right.Parmesan will flower power hard soon! I can feels it! Sending the green grow love your way Carmen! Plants look great!
Agh, I wish I knew more or anything minus the basics about SWICKs! I am sorry I can't help you figure out the remedy but I have all the faith in the growing world you will!Thank you Krissi. Somehow hearing you say that makes me feel more confident that I will get the water balance right.
I think there is a mass of water type roots in the bottom of the grow bag and that the feeders have been underfed, so I am wicking water off the bottoms whilst wetting the tops. I hope this bears fruit. I am anxiously awaiting Gee's arrival on site so that I can find out how long it took his swicked plants to adjust to top feeding.
Today I gave the Parmesan auto 3 L until there was a good amount of runoff, probably about 200 to 250ml or more in total. Now I have it on a towel, wicking the water that I am sure gets trapped in water type roots at the bottom of the bag. I also fed the G1 plant 2 L. There was some runoff of that too. So now I will wait until they have been through a proper dry cycle before I give them more. I estimate that for the Parmesan that will take 3 days. G2 is so happy and G1 is just sitting wicking off on a towel. I honestly don't know about this plant. I am waiting for a sign from nature.
There is nothing to show right now. They look the same as yesterday. Perhaps later today.
Thank you for the support friends!
Thank you Krissi. I think it's all in the roots and Gee has done a lot of swick experiments so he is very knowledgable. He said his rescue plants didn't recover properly and he may actually turf them and start again. I won't turf my Gelato auto 1 but I'm losing hope that the leaves can recover from the droop. I'll keep on keeping on and see where we get to after the weekend.Agh, I wish I knew more or anything minus the basics about SWICKs! If Grandpa's Moonshine can do it, yours can. I did have the advantage of time though.I'm losing hope that the leaves can recover from the droop.
Thank you Shed. I was thinking about your 5 KC earlier and wondering how that one is doing today? If Grandpa's Moonshine can do it, yours can. I did have the advantage of time though.
That's interesting. What are you trying to achieve with the tox?No better. I'm considering hammering it with nitrogen and seeing I can generate a toxicity!
Ok, what will that tell you? That you are able to effect some kind of change in colour? Would you then try to dial that back in future flowerings to increase nitrogen without generating actual toxicity. To see if it's possible to get it too green at this point I guess.
