Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Then @MrSauga told me to stop with the bright ideas and just use the MC alone.
I heard the same thing from @InTheShed ,but did I listen? Hell no!
I hate it when I do that....I learn best when I learn the hard way,apparently...:)

@Ganjagrandaddy gets credit here as well for asking about PK products :).
Thank you shed but your knowledge has nailed it down . thanks for the insight and breakdown. Good to see a community working this way for each other. love this place. you and iceman saved my 1st official rdwc attempt with your support . Cheers for being so damn good mate.

Thanks, @Ganjagrandaddy for bringing that up-You saved my next grow from
suffering the "yellow crispies"!
Pleasure mate. i smoked 10oz of fried super iced grapefruit with a sour look on my face every pull. lol
Wouldnt see a brother suffer the same fate ;):thumb:. Became referred to as my ginger crop !!
Your ladies look amazing and will do you very proud come harvest.

Dont we all mate !!. lol

Hey brother, hope you're doing well and having a good week so far! :passitleft:
I haven't popped in here in about a week - congrats on your recent harvest, looks like some quality bud. Ms. Cheese is getting big now!

Happy Thursday !
Today is harvest day for the Northern Lights, but this isn't the end of her-I noticed lots of fresh pistils coming in lower down on the plant,so I'm going to let them go for another few weeks-I guess you could call it a 2 stage harvest-so today was stage 1-just the big top buds.

Here's her final pic before chopping anything-she's pretty ugly now, since I burnt the crap out of her about a week ago with a Phosphorus/Potash (PK) overdose....It didn't screw up any smokable parts-maybe a few sugar leaves, but nothing else important-just ugly as sin:

Final silhouette shot:

Here's her 11 main buds before trimming:

And after trimming:

8 oz wet,so will be less than 2oz after drying....but it's also only half of her yield...

Here's what's left-I'm going to keep her going for at least two more weeks, now that the light can get to them,I'm thinking they'll grow a little more...or not -either way,it's not hurting anything to give them a bit more time...You can see by the pale green leaves that the tops were doing a good job of blocking almost all of the light...

1860258

Here's where the buds will live for 6 days or so-those ones on the right side are the Peyote Critical, which are dry enough to start curing today,so that's what I've got to do right now....

1860259

That's it for the NL harvest for today- I'll be doing another one on her in the weeks to come
when "stage 2" happens...

Thanks a lot for looking-I'll be back in an hour or so with a few pics ,and a final weight on the Peyote Critical....She's not going to end up yielding much, but that's my fault for growing her in a too small space....she did the best she could,considering....

See you in an hour or so,Thanks again for looking! :peace:

Congrats on the stage 1 of the staggered harvest! Love the silhouette shot, where all the crispy leaves disappear into the shadows and we can appreciate the glorious profile :). And trimmed up...who's to know!

All my PC buds ended up pretty fluffy, but I'm not sure if that was because it was a winter grow or the plant. Still...I ended up with a lot of it because of the plant's size in the end.

Thanks,Shed- Yeah, those silhouette shots do a good job of hiding the uglies;)

I won't have a whole lot from the PC,but I don't really smoke that much ,so 2 oz will probably last me until my next crop is done...
I'm going to go find out how much, and I'll be back in a little while with some pics...

Great harvest, Carcass. Congrats

Good call.mate. fingers crossed for a slow dry to kill off those pk undertones.

What an amazing harvest. So cool to see that happen in a small and affordable setup. Definitely gives me inspiration to do some cleaning up in my garage to make space for something similar so that I can start my experience of growing indoors. Thanks @John Wick for encouraging me to check out this thread. Already bookmarked and will be spending more time reading through all the updates and responses.

Consider entering the contests. You only need a few more posts to get to that magic 50, which allows entry, voting, and personal messaging. You can congratulate the winners in last month's contests, and urge on those entering this month. Welcoming new members is also an easy way to increase your post count.

Our sponsor Mars Hydro often has contests here. They have given away least two of their newest grow lights in the past three months. This is the thread to watch for Mars Hydro events. Note that their new SP and TS series of lights have won HID (MH, HPS, and CMH) users to the LED side of life. SmokeSara, their representative checks in most week days, and will be happy to help you with lights.

Check for discount codes and coupons from our sponsors. They can save you big bucks, if they have something you need.

Browse through the journals, and post to your own at least weekly. It may take a while, but you'll have folks subbed in soon enough. Finally, if you don't know or are unsure about something, ask! Folks here are very friendly, and love to help you succeed!

Well, that was a long hour....sorry -Mrs.C reminded me that I had to make a trip to the grocery store, she wanted a sandwich, and we were out of bread....and milk and etc....

Anyhow,I got to weigh in the PC after de-stemming,I ended up with 90 grams,or 3.2 oz-which is more than I thought I'd get....so that's a good thing (zeroed for the pan)
1860374

Took the pan outside for a pic in the sun for a pic-still got a little purplish look to it...
1860378

I did leave a lot of sugar leaves on there,so the buds aren't going to win any beauty contests,
but they will get a person high AF,which is what I was really after anyway...

And here's my custom blended Peyote Critical/Northern Lights sleeping medication for tonight....there's not much, but it won't take much....

That's about it for this harvest day-
Thank you all for the positive comments,I truly appreciate the support from all of you!
Now I'm going to go see what you've all been doing while I've been "Messin with my effing plants all day" (that's a quote from Mrs.Carcass) :)

Those PC buds are beautiful Carcass! What they smelling like? Cheesy?

Thanks,irie !
What they smelling like
I'm terrible at describing smells,but- kind of like a combination of lime juice and propane ..it's odd...smells almost flammable....so I'm going to burn some pretty soon here;)
