Good Sunday Morning!
Not an update,just something my son told me about when we went out to dinner last night....
Well,the BIG news is that I'm going to be a grandpa again in February...but the other thing he told me about was that there's a huge cannabis field about 2 miles from my house,so i had to take a drive over there this morning to check it out-sure enough,lots of cannabis...

I thought it might just be hemp,but the short, bushy plants, spaced about 3 feet apart, sort of says that it's cannabis

Seems kind of late in the season for the plants to be that small,but I assume whoever planted this many plants must know what they're doing.

So,I just thought it was interesting-I'm going to go back in a month to see how they're doing...
it should smell pretty good by then..:)

congratulations grandpa. brilliant news for you Cass. i have 5 grandchildren older than my two youngest girls now. They get away with more than my girls can too. confuses the heck out of the 4 year old that her nephews are years older and her 5 brothers are adults with kids. lol got to keep life interesting.

On the big field grow , i would be passing every day in the hope of them needing farm hands!!!. lol

delivered more than the student midwife present. heehee
bad enough comparing crops each run !!!!

I will write you a reference to have handy and when you get in tell them you know someone who works for trim !!!!. Passport is valid.

8 children .5 adult males with 5 children between them and 3 females 14 , 4 and
20 months old ( going on 20 years old !). On 3rd marriage as 2 ex wives left the door unlocked ! lol

I was-The first two were born back when the dad wasn't allowed in the room during the birth,
so I'd never actually seen exactly what goes on "down there"....plus I was busy answering all the questions from the other 2 kids (and holding their hands) -I had to assure them that this was happening just like it was supposed to....I think Mrs.Carcass was the calmest one in the room;)

Thanks,GG - They're going to find out tomorrow if it's a boy or a girl-My son says they can do that with a blood test now....things have really come a long ways since I was in their position...

Yeah that sounds like it would be a hectic situation for sure! Be one hell of an experience. My wife had a c section as our daughter wrapped her wrists and one ankle in the umbilical cord. 36 hours of labour my wife said no more, good thing she did. So I don’t necessarily “know” what happens down there (I mean I do but) they brought me in at the last second covered her up down below, took her out and pretty much propped her in my arms. What a beautiful moment that was. Enough about me. Back to your great news! That’s exciting to find the gender out. Are they having a baby reveal party? We had one for ours, I look so disappointed after cutting the cake and seeing pink, I really wasn’t, I just look it haha :goof:

No,oddly enough,they're not-they usually don't even need a reason to have a party,but not this time...or maybe they are ,but without "the old folks"..hmmm.:)
 
Monday's here,so it must be update time !
I did a 2 stage harvest on the Northern lights,and what's left of her
is responding well-buds are getting fatter,and she's still putting out a few pistils:

That's it for the Northern Lights,time to take a look at MsCheese-
18" tall now..
I put a little mulch around her to keep the dirt a little cooler,and maybe conserve a little of her water...It's not the rainy season anymore,and it's been hot as hell, so she actually gets thirsty occasionally...

And she is definitely a she -only one pistil so far, but that's all I need....

She's growing a full 6" every week,so she just might end up being a pretty big girl,even with the late start...


The NL will be around for another ten days or so-I'm going to wait for a little more amber than
the main buds had when they got chopped...
So that's about all that's been going on with the girls this week...

Sure, at that age...then they get to be annoying teenagers!

Congrats on the new growth inside, outside, and down the road :).
 
I'm 61and everything is already annoying. I can't imagine what I'll be like at 78 besides single :).

Today is harvest day for the Northern Lights,but this isn't the end of her-I noticed lots of fresh pistils coming in lower down on the plant,so I'm going to let them go for another few weeks-I guess you could call it a 2 stage harvest-so today was stage 1-just the big top buds.

Here's her final pic before chopping anything-she's pretty ugly now,since I burnt the crap out of her about a week ago with a Phosphorus/Potash (PK) overdose....It didn't screw up any smokable parts-maybe a few sugar leaves,but nothing else important-just ugly as sin:

8 oz wet,so will be less than 2oz after drying....but it's also only half of her yield...

Here's what's left-I'm going to keep her going for at least two more weeks, now that the light can get to them,I'm thinking they'll grow a little more...or not -either way,it's not hurting anything to give them a bit more time...You can see by the pale green leaves that the tops were doing a good job of blocking almost all of the light...

Here's where the buds will live for 6 days or so-those ones on the right side are the Peyote Critical, which are dry enough to start curing today,so that's what I've got to do right now....

when "stage 2" happens...
