Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Thank you for the compliment,Stltoed...and thanks for stopping by-feel free to drop in anytime-this stuff's gonna go on and on-Purple Punch & GDPxGumberry autos are next on the agenda...
NICE! I dont know anything about autos. Cheers!

Thanks,Dutch-I've actually only grown 2 autos,about 5 years apart,so it's almost unexplored territory for me....but really,that's the fun part!

I'm planning on quadlining-I really like the results I got with the last two-That's probably how I'm going to do it from now on-seems to keep them manageable, and in my tiny space, that's a real good thing....

Good Sunday Morning!
Not an update, just something my son told me about when we went out to dinner last night....
Well, the BIG news is that I'm going to be a grandpa again in February...but the other thing he told me about was that there's a huge cannabis field about 2 miles from my house,so i had to take a drive over there this morning to check it out-sure enough, lots of cannabis...
1862457

They're pretty casual about it-notice the open gate..
And a look in the other direction:
1862458

I thought it might just be hemp, but the short, bushy plants, spaced about 3 feet apart, sort of says that it's cannabis
1862460

Seems kind of late in the season for the plants to be that small, but I assume whoever planted this many plants must know what they're doing.

So,I just thought it was interesting-I'm going to go back in a month to see how they're doing...
it should smell pretty good by then..:)
What a great day! Blessings to you and family for the new addition. And a weed field too! What a day.

Hey carcass, not had chance to stop by for a while due to never ending work but trying to catch up with people's grows now, your pc buds look great mate and what's left of the NL is starting to fatten up nicely now and ms cheese looks great I'm sure she's gonna end up being a nice size after stretch has finished, and as that field goes I'd be in there asking to help lol if not I'd be digging the plants up:D Congratulations on being a grandpa again aswel

Hey Carcass, hope you're doing well! Congrats on the news from your son - that's awesome :slide:
Staggered harvest is working well for you, and Ms. Cheese seems to be loving the heat you've been having.
That big ganja farm is insane - you're obviously in a legal state? And surely they'll be upgrading the perimeter fencing before bloom comes? They'll be losing bud faster than their plants can grow it lol

Thanks,irie- I'm doing well!
They are working on an 8' non see-through fence around the potfield-I guess they figure the crop has no value till flower time,so they'd get things growing first, then worry about security.
I'm in California,so it's very legal here-in fact, 35 miles down the road in the little town of Buellton, they're awaiting approval on what will be the worlds biggest (legal) pot farm if it's approved-40 acres of our favorite weed!

I keep thinking of the Bugs Bunny cartoon where he pulls the carrots from underground.

Monday is here,so it's time for the final update on the Northern Lights, plus updates on a few other things...
11 days ago I harvested the big buds on the NL,but decided to give the "lower stuff' another couple of weeks to develop, since with the big buds gone, they can now get some light...
They like it,apparently-they've grown quite a bit in the last 11 days...

It's too bad 420 doesn't have an "ugliest plant of the month" contest, because this girl would definitely be a contender :)
1869086

Gotta throw in a final one of these:
1869090

There's still hardly any amber trichs on her,but Thursday is harvest day, amber or not
The top buds came in at 55 grams dry,so almost 2 ozs so far from her...
1869092

She's still putting out a few pistils, but very few now.

1869102

Here's the next crop, seeds were dropped into water about an hour ago...
both from @SeedsMan

1869104

I was evidently in a "purple" mood when I ordered the seeds:)

I'm just going to continue this journal for these...and of course,Ms Cheese...
24" tall now (grew 6 more inches last week) ,getting branchy and loving the great outdoors...the pests are pretty much leaving her alone, except for a few whiteflies, which,so far, I just mash on a daily basis...

1869123

No training or topping for this one, just going to let her go as nature intended.
She's getting 4 grams of Mega Crop every watering (about every 5 days-it's hot out there)
And she's liking it quite a bit...

And that's it for this update-next week it'll only be the seedlings (assuming they sprout) and MsCheese....I'll post up some harvest pics on Thursday, and then this grow will be over (except MsCheese) and another will begin ,so I'll see you then...

Thanks for looking,I appreciate the support!
I hope everyone has a great week-:peace:

** I'm going to try and visit everyone's journals a little more often than I did last week-A friend of mine passed away last Sunday,so I just wasn't in a very sociable mood all week- He beat cancer three times over 12 years, was declared cancer free...and 2 weeks later, he drops dead from a stroke....pretty f**ked up situation......:rip:

Anyway,Hope to see you on harvest day, thanks again for looking!

Wow, when its your time, its your time I guess. I like the ugly plant... and when I have time I love doing the staggered harvests.
Enjoyed the journal... looking forward to chapter 2!

and when I have time I love doing the staggered harvests.
Thanks,Emilya - I'm really surprised that the buds grew as much as they did-the first 3 days or so,nothing- then they really got with it-noticeable growth every day...
None of them are very big,but there sure is a lot of them...and they're very dense.

Great job with the budget grow too. You probably could have knocked $49 off in the light. There's a decent brand which isn't a sponsor so i.don't wanna give away the brand etc but only thing is it's a blurple. There should be more journals like this being done specially for new growers. They usually have no.idea what to do or expect. The problem with google.too is when you.googke. A grow.light you get the chea p $20 Chinese lights. I could have saved near $200 if I knew what I know now before I started growing.

Thanks,HP- The cardboard box is going to be with me for awhile longer-I spent my tent fund on a new Ph tester-found out that my old one ($15 cheapie) was a full point off-I was Ph ing to around 6.2-6.5 ,but it was actually 7.2 -7.5,so I'm lucky my plants did well at all...
So I won't need another light till I get a tent, and that's going to be awhile now.

The dollar tree reflectors are genious. I bought endless amounts of mylar rolls and i think the reflector would have beeb much better for me. A nice pen is my next step but after i finish everything im running now im turning either my basement or attic into my new grow spot. I already stole 2 of my fiancee closets and a corner of my bedroom. While getting tents might be easier i think im just gonna build the rooms like you did but much larger. I havent gine through your entire grow yet but im starting to now. Im assuming right now im running a perpetual i believe thats what it is anyways...so gonna steal a few of your tricks along wirh a few others i seen on here and see what i end up with.

I hope some of my low budget ideas can help you out- good idea on going a little bigger-mine is a bit smaller than I'd like it to be ,but it is what it is-
I actually looked for a refrigerator box first, but couldn't find one....unless I bought a new refrigerator...but mine's only a few years old,so that wasn't really an option...would've kind of shot the low budget thing all to hell also...:)

Well when i first started i winged it badly. Putting highest priority items first and so on. Mailman hated me for a few weeks there. Only problem is i didn't plan anything. Jusy bandaided the problem as they happened. Now that i have an idea it helps me know exactly what and how i want it. I was also thinking about creating smaller boxes like your run here for each individual plant. I know id waste space doing this but if i go attic or basement it wouldn't be a problem. That way i can fine tune each grow to the plant itself. My unknown strain journal i planted 3 same unknown strains at the same time. 2 out of the 3 were females. Same environment too. But one plant is nearly double the size. So this way if this ever happened again....i could allow a plant to flower earlier or veg longer depending on the individual need of the plant. Sadly Im not legal where i grow so ive even thought about buying a cheap rundown house to turn into a grow spot.
