Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

LOL! Who doesn't love a weeding wedding :)

Wowza, that is a beautiful plant with the leaves off! Well done on the harvest but sorry about the 9 hours.

An hour? Were you scrubbing with a toothbrush to get the ash off?

Nice house guests your caterpillars are.

Best summary of low and slow that I've found is here by MrSauga.

Said no son to his dad ever!
Exactly why I decided to mention “over here” which is 1100 miles away. But ya we are pretty open like that as long as we are in different states

Me being "as slow as molasses in January" doesn't only apply to trimming ;) ...that hour did include the bucket prep time too, which involved a trip to the store for more H2o2...

And that's the correct social distance for "bud boners"

That Chemdog was ah-mazing! I have a freebie Chemdog auto... Maybe... :cheesygrinsmiley:
Sorry for the late response,Boo- I didn't see your post earlier!
I haven't sampled it yet, but it sure grew a lot of pot for a rootbound plant in a small(ish) pot!
@13goody13 says it's pretty good stuff, so I'm anxious to give it a try!
I think an auto would be a great one to grow!
Oic. This is making a bit more sense now!
I bought all they had (only 3 pints)- I know...people like me are why there seems to be a shortage of it...
That's the first time they've had it in stock in about a month- they still don't have any iso, which I'm also out of...

Need help - anyone recall the ratio of hydrogen peroxide to water for bud washing obviously it's 5 gallons of water. I know many use 1/2 cup each of lemon juice & baking soda but this is the version for pm and or bugs
Doc Bud created the process and he uses a 30% solution.

Nice harvest on that CD4 carcass. I had to pry my wife's fingers off the screen. Apparently she loves a big cola.
I'm dying laughing!

Mrs.C. does too- but she hasn't seen one since we met... ;)

I used a pint to 4 gallons of water, along with the juice from one lemon- might of been a little weak, but it seems to have cleaned the buds up nice-
I'm dying laughing!

along with the juice from one lemon

you don’t want to be mixing the lemon juice into the same bucket as the H202. ...

the lemon juice and baking Soda do a thing together.
The H202 does a thing for rot and PM - but it’s meant to just be in its own bucket, and then the lemon and bicarbonate after.
Graytail broke that down a bit recently, I’ll dig up the post.

And just FYI - Doc revised the quantities in the recipe to 1/4 cup of tea lemon juice and Same of bicarb in the 5gal bucket. He found it works just as well.

I go with 1:3 when I wash, because I am killing bugs and clearing out the PM. In a 5 gallon bucket that would be 1.25 gallons of 3% hydrogen peroxide and 3.75 gallons of water. I haven't found that lower strength kills the bugs.

Actually all he said was don’t mix the H202 and the lemon juice - didn’t go into why. I may drop back in to the bud washing thread and ask him...

Separately, he did note that the lemon and bicarbonate soda work to neutralise each other’s potential harsh effects so it’s important to use both together ...

Oops!, I've done it twice now...I thought it was a good thing that it fizzed a little in the second bucket:oops:
I haven't found that lower strength kills the bugs.
Fortunately, I didn't have bugs on either one (except the somewhat harmless caterpillars), and only a tiny bit of pm, which got tossed into the salve box (I don't have a bin :) )

Well, the trichomes didn't wash off, so it must not have been too harsh- I used way too little of all the ingredients anyway- If nothing else, at least the dirt and ash are gone now...
Beautiful harvests C!
Thanks,Fred!
Now I have to find some jars to put it all in- time to head to the dollar store!

Naaaaaiiiisssss harvest Carcass :eek::high-five::cheer:

8 of the (lucky) guests each got a half an ounce of my last Alaskan Purple harvest- funny, I overheard my son telling one of his friends "Ask my dad for some pot- he'll give you a lot"

... I hate attending weddings but I would love to get a Carcass party bag..

You need to start a new business as a wedding green fairy!

Naaaaaiiiisssss harvest Carcass
Thanks, Sy!- there was more on that one than I thought there'd be, hidden under all those leaves
You need to start a new business as a wedding green fairy!
Yeah, but my profit margins suck...I'd have some damn happy customers though!

Thanks, BL!
It was my youngest son- they did go ahead and get married in a family-only ceremony on April 4th- the little family get-together 2 weeks ago was their postponed reception- there was about 35 people there, who did a fair job of social distancing/mask wearing. I was feeling generous that day, so 8 of the (lucky) guests each got a half an ounce of my last Alaskan Purple harvest- funny, I overheard my son telling one of his friends "Ask my dad for some pot- he'll give you a lot" :)

The "debate" was a total shitshow , as expected- I didn't see it (doing some preliminary trimming on the ChemDog) but I heard it. I wish I could un hear it...

:laugh::rofl:

ChemDog#4 Harvest-

While I'm here, Here's some pics of the ChemDog#4 harvest, which, of course, took
me way too long to do- 9 hours start to finish- about an hour of that was washing the buds

Before any trimming- 129 days old, flowering for 63 days, fed only MegaCrop....
1601580611865.jpeg

Here she is after her preliminary fanleaf removal- That cat hung with me all day- I think he really likes the smell of this one.
1601580679977.jpeg

And after trimming (she's naked, as promised, @TraLa ;))
1601580829092.jpeg

And a big ol' tray o' colas:
1601580924191.jpeg

And the skeleton:
1601580985749.jpeg

I didn't get any pics of the bud wash- my camera battery went dead and I forgot to put it on the charger till it was too late-
So...here she is hanging in the closet.
2 reasons why I'm not doing the low n' slow fridge dry method with this one- I don't have enough bags, and those larger colas won't fit in the bags anyway...The Dr.S. is still in the fridge, about 2/3 of the way dry.

1601581326272.jpeg

Here's a wet weight on the main cola- 6.5 oz- doesn't mean much- there's quite a bit of stem there...
1601581438076.jpeg

One more shot of another one of the main colas- there's 10 or 11 of 'em this size...
1601581627981.jpeg

And that's about all for this harvest- Thanks again to @13goody13 for the seed that made this one possible!

She was a real easy plant to grow- Even in a little 3 gallon pot- No pests at all except for a few caterpillars that only ate leaves, she was immune to powdery mildew....and she produced a shitload of weed!

Thanks for Looking, I hope everyone's week is going well!:peace:
Holy fuck!

They are the most impressive buds I’ve seen to date!

That coke bottle comparison is amazing and your trim style looks on fleek too!

:laughtwo: good one Backlip!
Lol I try!! :laughtwo:
