Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

I have a funky bud very much like that. Pretty cool.
Hi, Stone! - Yeah, I've had quite a few side by side double buds, but that's the first double/single bud-
I didn't think it would produce more than a bunch of leaves, but after trimming it up, there's a lot of good smoke there- that one of yours looks about as dense as a bud can get!

High Carcass! Super harvest there buddy. Nice budgina!
Thanks, Fred - she started out a blonde, but was a redhead by the end... :)
the challenge was getting close to my wife's,
I remember those days!
I'm not sure I want to know, but what then is poking you in the eye?
That is a good question....maybe they're a little different in Canada?

Great updates carcass!! Bravo on the harvests!! You always do such a good job trimming!!

glad you were able to get some good quality family time in!! Family first!! What ever comes after is a bonus!!:thumb:

we had family pictures last Sunday. I’ll have to log into my email and send you a updated picture of the kids!:high-five:

Congrats on the harvest C! I’m slow as molasses too when it comes to trimming (it’s always an all day affair). I hope you have a great weekend :green_heart:

Thanks, BL! The trimming starts out real nice, but by the 5th or 6th hour, quality control standards go waaaay down... the stuff reserved for gummies gets trimmed, but barely....

Trimming took me most of the day, then I decided to wash the buds to wash out all the ash (and dirt)
so I wasn't done till just before dark....a new record for me...
I'm glad I chose to wash the buds-(a first for me) an incredible amount of crud was left floating in those buckets!

I'd recommend that every plant grown outside be washed!

That's about how my buckets looked- an incredible amount of scum came off that plant- so all my outdoor ladies are going to get washed from now on...Doesn't really take very long to do, and it's definitely worth the time- I left my little "clothesline" up for the upcoming ChemDog harvest- lots of caterpillar poop on that one...

Speaking of caterpillars...found this little cocoon on the ChemDog this morning- I knew I missed one caterpillar on there, and this is how it ended up:

They weren't bad (as caterpillars go) because they just ate leaves, and left the buds alone...
I noticed these little butterflies were always on just that plant, but not on the Dr.S. plants

So, I'm going to save this and see what emerges (yep, just like when I was a little kid :) )

Actually I won't know for sure till it's "born", but those little things seemed to just love that plant
so I'm pretty sure that's what it'll be-
I don't think they were moth caterpillars, because those a__holes are the ones that bore in and make a home inside the buds- those ones are the main reason I schlep the plants in every night...

Nice harvest, Carcass! Made me feel good about trimming the little things that I grow. :Rasta:

Thanks,GDB! - Yeah, the little 12- 18" plants I grow indoors crossed my mind a few times while I was "processing" that Dr.S.- Which wasn't really that big- the ones @BeezLuiz is growing- now those are some big plants!

You got that right. You'd need a hedge trimmer for those monsters! :Rasta:

Thanks, sy !
And also love the paper bag pyramid.
I can spread them out when we get rid of all that damn food that's wasting space in that fridge! :)
They do stack nicely though....
How does the Dr S smell??
I'm bad at describing smells, but she mostly smells skunky with a (slight) touch of citrus- lime maybe?

Wow, feels like forever since I've been by (sorry, been unusually busy lately). Glad your family reunion went well. :circle-of-love:

Well, yesterday's Dr.S. cbd harvest took longer than I thought it would, but I finally got it done- after trimming that thing, I really appreciate the smaller plants that I grow indoors...
I just got a glimpse of what I'm in for in a couple weeks. :nervous-guy:
And that's about it for that one- I've got 2 more of those going, so I'm going to have enough cbd to last me a loooonnng time.....
That's what I'm hoping for as well. My first real CBD plant I've grown.
And a beautiful plant for a pot that size. Well done. :thumb:

The trimming starts out real nice, but by the 5th or 6th hour, quality control standards go waaaay down...
I can relate to that. And after the 3rd day of trimming, I'm ready to just throw the rest of the plant into the recycle bin.
I'd recommend that every plant grown outside be washed!
Absolutely!! :thumb:
They weren't bad (as caterpillars go) because they just ate leaves, and left the buds alone...
I've got the sucky kind of caterpillars. The ones that like to chew off the buds at the stem.
So, I'm going to save this and see what emerges
Kill it with fire!!
Which wasn't really that big- the ones @BeezLuiz is growing- now those are some big plants!
I'm getting kinda worried about my upcoming harvest sessions. :nervous-guy:

Thanks,Beez!

Last year I spent many hours hunting those caterpillars on a Cheese plant-and I still lost a few good buds to those little bastards- It was very satisfying finding the ones that were dying from the BTI- Even though they were already dying, I squished them just to make sure :)
I'm getting kinda worried about my upcoming harvest sessions. :nervous-guy:
Well, we know where you'll be for 3 or 4 days...that's gonna be quite a project!(but worth it in the end!)
My 2 smaller Dr.S. clones are exactly the same age, so them being smaller isn't going to help with harvest, because they'll both be ready at the same time- so, a 26" plant, plus a 30" plant= more time trimming than the first one.....arghhh!

Wonderful harvest carcass! Congrats on a huge haul of CBD :thumb: I’m on the same page with smaller plants/easier harvests!

better now that alcohol and I have parted ways
 that makes sense then, walking those paths can be wonderfully educational - and for the people around you too. Nice work!
:high-five:
but then the 4 year old granddaughter would want to help, and there'd be sooo many questions... :)

A unique show and tell tho, ”what I did at nanna and pop’s during the holidays...” :D
One last pic of the odd doublewide bud:

incredible!
looked a bit vaginal before trimming, but now it looks kind of like a big d--k !
:laughtwo: sexy plant whichever way it goes...
I'm not sure I want to know, but what then is poking you in the eye?
I was gonna say, his wife...? It’s usually accidental but, it happens ;)

Wonderful harvest carcass! Congrats on a huge haul of CBD
Thank You for the kind words, Amy!- that's going to double in about a month, if the weather cooperates till then...I harvested one on Nov 1 last year, so I hope this year will be about the same...
walking those paths can be wonderfully educational
More like stumbling that path, in my case... :) But the kids definitely learned what a problem "problem drinking" can be...
”what I did at nanna and pop’s during the holidays...”
"We harvested grandpa's vegetables...they were really sticky"...;)

Happy Tuesday all!
Time for a little update...

First, the indoor girl (Wedding Cheesecake auto from @13goody13 )- she's doing well- not very tall (17"), but that's a good thing with the limited headroom in the box. She's 12" from the light, which is actually just about right....she'll probably end up about an inch taller before she's done.

New growth is coming in kind of pale, so I upped the MegaCrop to 5g/gal. yesterday.
Her buds are stacking up pretty nice- they've come a long way in just the last week...
The SaugaView®:

And a peek in through the door...she's 55 days old, flowering for 25 days- she's doing a pretty good job of filling up the box....
1601403886920.jpeg

A silhouette shot- she looks pretty skinny now, but that won't last...
1601404181672.jpeg

Now for the outdoor ladies- Both Dr.S.cbd clones are doing great- the powdery mildew seems to be under control, so I'm happy about that..they're fed 5g/gal MC with 4ml silica blast- if the sun is out, they need water/food every day.

Clone #1 -the untopped one- 31" tall:
1601404458266.jpeg

Clone #2- topped above node 3 a long time ago- she looks like a smaller version of her mom (harvested last week) she's 25" tall
1601404641966.jpeg

A clone#1 bud- both clones are 55 days old, flowering for 35 days
1601404852787.jpeg

Lastly, the ChemDog#4-She's 128 days old, flowering for 62 days...Her trichomes are at about 10% amber, so she's getting chopped within the next couple days...
The breeder (GrowersChoice) says 60-70 days, so she'll be harvested at day 63...

I'll remove her big fanleaves this afternoon/evening, to maybe speed tomorrow's harvest up a bit...or not...

Her "frontside":
1601405021367.jpeg

And her "backside"...she's got some heavy buds on her- they droop a little more every day...
1601405692360.jpeg

Top bud:
1601405793669.jpeg

an upside down bottom bud:
1601405857160.jpeg

And that's about it for this update- I'll post up some harvest pics within the next couple days...

This one shouldn't take me quite as long as the last one, but it probably will ... I'm pretty damn slow...:)
Her buds are also going to get washed- there's a lot of caterpillar poop and ash on this one...

Thanks for looking! I appreciate the support...
Hope you all have a great rest of the week!..:peace:
