Guess what my nightmare is gonna be about tonight.
glad to be of service to your cultural educationI shouldn't have wikipedia'd vagina dentata - yipes!... now I'm gonna have nightmares too...
yes... gauging the situation by aircraft movement is what it comes down to sometimes!no water tankers flying today- that generally means all is good within 100 miles of us...
not a small feat at all, without feeds!down for two naps today... without feeding her... it’s a small victory to some, but it’s a huge victory to me!
High HayStack - During our recent apocalyptic summer here in Australia, the smoke from the fires made it snow brown snow on the New Zealand Alps - and there was amazing images of the smoke plume(s) ’travelling’ around the globe. There was pollution on the other side of the planet from it - a testament to the scale of what is happneingHoly crap. Our smoke is all the way up there. I guess the entire west coast is covered then. Crazy.
favourable winds... may they continue!sunny on Tuesday- not sure how that was possible after looking at the smoke map...
Thanks Amy!! It was a great feeling... all she ever wanted to do when she was in my arms is scream and cry for mom. It’s slowly coming around. Before I could only hold her facing out, now she’s getting better and allowing me to hold her while she faces me for longer periods.not a small feat at all, without feeds
Thanks for the kind words, Hutch! Those outdoor plants look amazing!
Thanks, Amy! That indoor one is going to push the height limit in the box, in fact, I hope she's about done stretching-she's in a 24"x24"x44"space (Home Depot wardrobe box)and she's about 13" from the light already...4 more inches, and she's "too effing close"....Indoor is looking fab too - what size is your indoor DIY cab?
Our little Nova also insists on facing out when I carry her- keeps the spit up off my neck and shoulder, so it's not a bad thing...Before I could only hold her facing out,
Yes they are! With both of my outdoor grows this year I trimmed them pretty tightly the day before I planned to harvest because I knew/felt I couldn’t get thru the whole harvest in one day. Boy was I happy I did that! It allowed me to trim at will and let everything just fall to the ground to rake up later since I did not save the leaves. I still needed to do a little trimming but nothing like I would have been stuck with all at once. Enjoy!these outside ladies are going to give my trimming shears a real workout!
But the salve box...I did not save the leaves.
It was Big Momma Cindy and her leaves were disgusting - gave me the itchies the whole time - and I was grateful that it was cool out so long pants and sleeves were appropriate! I have saved a lot though. Think I have enough for a batch of salve yet?But the salve box.
Yes! But those stems will take a long time to dry. I would chop them into 1" pieces while you watch TV. They will dry a lot faster and absorb the oil a lot faster when you put everything in the crock pot as well. I'm considering buying one of those electric wood chippers for mine!Think I have enough for a batch of salve yet?
My brother and his partner have one of those and they love it. Deals with all the smaller woody prunings splendidly so it’d be perfect!one of those electric wood chippers for mine!
a telling testament to the environment and guidance you provided for sure! They all get along great, so it made for a real enjoyable time
Doh! Was gonna try and sneak by without them. I will work on it - gonna let them dry out a little more first (?).Don't forget the roots...
I'm glad you mentioned that- mine will get that treatment this evening after the sun goes down- I probably should have done it a month ago to help with the PM!I trimmed them pretty tightly the day before I planned to harvest
I thought of that, but then the 4 year old granddaughter would want to help, and there'd be sooo many questions...Should oof had a trim party when the kids were there.
I've just been using a weak vinegar solution, which seems to work alright if you stay at it, but I kind of slacked off for the last 3 or 4 days...I may try the citric acid on the 2 clones, since they're going to be around for awhile...Have you tried the citric acid spray I've been using?
I've got 3 or 4 bags of trimmins that I need to do something with. One of these days.....I have saved a lot though.
If I start a salve bin, I'll probably just use the leaves...I'm considering buying one of those electric wood chippers for mine!
20-30 years ago, when they were growing up, I didn't really set a very good example- But it did teach them what NOT to do... (I think I'm much better now that alcohol and I have parted ways)a telling testament to the environment and guidance you provided for sure!
Those bigger roots get pretty tough when they dry out- mine usually just get tossed into the greenwaste...Was gonna try and sneak by without them.
Now it's starting to sound a lot like work!I cut it into pieces with a scissors over the bin.
I want to make it for bug bites as well!If it'll work for flea bites, I may have to start making some salve...
My cat sleeps outside all day, and brings fresh fleas in with him just about every evening...
