I just heard on the news that there's 4 months of "fire season" left in Cali, so unfortunately, we're probably just going to have get used to it...

making the plants look super bright green-it's really weird-the sunlight is orange

IKR - it gets weirder when it’s so thick the sunlight goes a weird kind of grey - Which it nearly is in your high noon photo.

That's what we've got today...it looks like thick fog, but it doesn't clear up later on in the day...there was actually enough light to cast shadows for about ten minutes this morning, but now it's back to looking like evening at noon...

Thanks, Sunny, we're good- the fires are actually far, far away from us at the moment, so the smoke and ash is all we have to deal with-a very minor inconvenience compared to those who've lost everything to the fires...

No doubt! Just terrible these fires. I’ve got some friends in Oregon that are from here and they are reporting the same thing.. terrible air quality and ash in the air. Hoping those fires continue to stay far far away!

Fortunately, there's about 15 miles of flat farmland & vineyards (and a few cbd/ hemp fields) between us and the LosPadres Nat'l forest, so we're in a pretty safe spot if it ever burns.
It hasn't burned for about 50 years, so when/if it ever does, it's going to be a big one...

Fortunately there's nothing happening locally- We're located in the approach path to the airport, and
there's no water tankers flying today- that generally means all is good within 100 miles of us...
