Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

That coke bottle comparison is amazing and your trim style looks on fleek too!
Thanks, TraLa!
I think it helped that I did it in 2 sessions- 2 hours the night before for the big leaves, and 6 more hours for the small ones-Even so, the first buds trimmed do look a little better than the last ones- I got to the "close enough" part about 5 hours in.... :)

How many people were saying, “I’m only hear for the goody bag!” :laughtwo: Lol jk
None this time, but if we had another get-together, there would be at least 8...:).
stupendous buds!
Thanks, Amy!
I found some big jars at the dollar store, so now I've got a place to put 'em all!
Congrats on another yummy harvest!
Thanks, Candy! You're getting pretty close to some yummy harvests yourself!

A little update on the Dr.S cbd harvest-chopped the Thursday before last, and dried in paper bags in the fridge for 9.5 days...
She was 100 days old @ harvest time, flowering for 50 days:
1601835541488.jpeg

10.4 oz./291 grams- so, I'm set for cbd for a little while....:cheesygrinsmiley:

I'm going to let the 2 clones from this one flower for a little longer than their mom- she was chopped early, which seems to be the recommended(?) thing to do with a cbd plant- they're at 40 days flowering today, so the plan is to let them go for 3 more weeks for a total of 61 days.
Might be hard to tell if they end up any different than their mom, since neither one is going to get me high...
And another :thanks:goes out to @13goody13 ,for providing me with the seed for this one!

That's about all I've got today...Thanks for looking!
Hope you all are having a nice Sunday...and please stay safe out there..:peace:

You’re very welcome.
Gotta love those freebie seeds, and their clones too.
10 oz is a lot of damn infused oil AND smoking, nice work!
It looks like those Dr S did better outdoors, on a few other’s journals too. My indoor gets so heavy so fast that they can’t even stand up already. I guess there are worse problems to have lol
Looking forward to the auto version.

You're going to need to upgrade to the G800 soon if you keep producing numbers like that.
Thanks,Mr.S.! I'll probably just use the bathroom scale if that happens :)
Nice yield on the cbd
Thanks, Smokey!
Just in time, too -I just finished some cbd buds from @OregonHempFlower that @13goody13 sent me about 3 weeks ago....
My indoor gets so heavy so fast that they can’t even stand up already.
Truly a first-world problem...:cheesygrinsmiley: This one didn't have big, heavy colas on her (as you saw), just 10 or 12 "bigger" mains, and a crapload of smaller ones...

trimming on the live plant is so much easier and for me, relaxing.
It really is-oddly... not any faster, maybe even a little slower- but it does seem easier when the plant holds the buds while you just get to clippin'- I sat the plant on a little lazy susan swivel thingy while I trimmed it,
so I never really had to move my butt the whole time...although I did get up for a leg stretch every hour or so.
I've only done 2 plants that way so far, and they've both come out with a closer trim than doing them the "one branch at a time" way- it already takes me forever, so another hour or so isn't really going to hurt anything... ;)

Thanks, Sy!
What's your preferred mode of ingestion for CBD?
I've been just smoking it so far, but now that I have "enough" I'll infuse some oil and make some gummies-
I'm also going to add some cbg isolate to the oil- @13goody13 sent me some, and I like smoking it so much I just ordered some more this morning- $18 a gram from @OregonHempFlower - a gram goes a looong ways...
The cbg seems to enhance the effects of the cbd- still doesn't get you high, but it seems to help with nervousness and anxiety more than just cbd alone...

Love that stuff. Smoke it, add it to edibles, it’s even in the lotion I just mixed up.

It's interesting the way it "smokes" - If I add a little to a bowl of cbd- it turns a one hit bowl
into a 4 hit bowl- and it tastes good too, an extra added bonus...

I found this in a news release from their parent company- so it looks like you're in luck!

"Currently, at Oregon Valley Hemp, Co. they legally ship to all 50 states in the United States. They also ship internationally. However, to keep parallel to international Cannabis laws, they only ship Isolates to international orders. "

I just ordered some of the CBG flower, they finally have it in ounces again ($57.99oz) and a bunch of the UMPQUA hemp (22 % CBD, $24oz) I love that place, they are friendly and quick and have a good selection of medicinal pot.
Make sure to use the 420mag1 coupon if you order over $100 worth.

Good to know- I only ordered $35 worth today, but "I'll be back..."

Such a fantastic harvest ! So much medicine!

Fantastic to hear that it does exactly what all the articles say it can do!!

If they’re sending isolates, then I might try to do that as well.

thanks!

she was chopped early, which seems to be the recommended(?) thing to do with a cbd plant-

So hey - I posted about this in another journal recently (BeezLuiz) ... that I have seen a few posts lately saying that CBD should be harvested ‘early’.

I think we risk cultivating some bro science of our own because it seems that this has morphed from conversations talking about CBD being harvested as soon as maximum number trichs are cloudy and before much amber, for maximum CBD amounts. So that’s not the same as ‘early’.

Beez said he thought it came from me, and I can maybe see how and just want to nip this in the bud! So to speak :).

Myself and others following the oil threads (during the time we were all trying to find out about CBD harvests) will have for sure said ‘not late‘. This is based on some testing discussed on another forum by a CBD breeder whose name I can’t remember - where they found CBD levels diminish once amber starts to appear. (That’s actually the same for THC, too).

So AFAIK that’s where it got started around here not to let them go late and it’s morphed into ‘take them early’ - which isn’t exactly right. And y’all know I’m one for the details so I can’t let this one slide. It’s seems important enough to pedant at!
:ciao:

Thanks for the info, Amy!
By "early" I actually meant that, according to the "seed company who shall remain nameless", she
flowers for 56-63 days, so chopping at 50 days was early, according to their timeline.
That plant had quite a bit of amber(10-15%), and another week would have been "late" from what the trichomes were telling me (which is what I base all my harvest decisions on.)

Here's the little lady that's keeping me busy today...
