CaptainLucky's First Indoor Golden Tiger Grow 2023

I’m not sure but it has a skunky smell and no rotting meat. CL🍀
I think they meant in full on flower. The statement was on ACE's own website. Don't know if it's still there.

Shed commented on the differences in phenos, so I'm wondering if you guys are/were growing the same version of GT?

Yes it’s the same version. CL🍀

I just went back to ACE's site and they dropped the "rotting meat" statement. I can't imagine many would like that aroma.
They do, however still have a couple of different versions still up on their site. The 3rd being more Thai and less Malawi.

And talk about different phenotypes, this was my GT shortly before flip (before and after my pre-flip trim):
full
yes a significant difference between your tiger shed & the captains plant , & the big question is what was here aroma like ?? :peace:

My Panama and Chocolate Thai are both from Ace. CL🍀

You think so? I think mine has more Sativa looking leaves maybe but not much else. CL🍀

If there is major difference in phenotype just proves that breeders ain’t all on point when it comes to “stable” genetics. To have a proper stable gene pool all phenos should look the same and to accomplish that you need multiple generation of cross and back cross and it’s labor intensive.

Anyway love your Sativa Captain you lucky got the heavy Sativa pheno, I enjoy just looking at the fan leaves.

My question is which version did you grow @InTheShed

I won a pack of Ace Golden Tiger reg seeds a few years back and hand delivered a few to someone who eventually made S1 fem seeds, and he then hand delivered some back to me. From that batch came the seeds I hand delivered to the good Captain. I didn't think he'd want to bother with the original reg versions and take the chances of getting a male.
:)

I don't recall any mention of versions back then, but the package is long gone!
what was here aroma like
Definitely not rotten meat, but other than that I can't recall!
yeah its the leaves that are the big difference , yours has extrem sativa leaves, they look good,
That's what I was thinking...completely different leaf shape and hang.

And let me guess about how the high was from the crew? It got me high sound about right? Lmao. CL🍀 :cheesygrinsmiley: :rofl::rofl:

I’m really hoping that it’s that heavy hitting pheno but I do love the skinny Thai looking leaves. CL🍀

Heck, I don't know how long ago ACE quit version one, but you might have even had that one.

:welcome:Update: I think elevating my girls they were getting to close to the light so as you can see it was moving day. I’m thinking that if this doesn’t help I can always elevate them again. All the ladies were fed their individual percentages of @Prescription Blend with the exception of my Golden Tiger which I think I might have overwatered when I upcaned her. I tried doing some training on my Chocolate Thai but I need longer sticks, same with my GT. Looks like another zon order in the near future. My Sour G is looking 👀 really good and I’m considering topping her soon n my Panama is also looking good. No trouble with the tent temperature because we’re having cooler weather still. Hope everyone is doing well and having happy +healthy grows. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite nominees/entries and support the Sponsors so @420 Magazine can continue with all they do. Did you do a plain water watering for the CT? Also, if it were mine I would do some serious thinning of the Panama inner growth. It's a jungle in there!
It was 1 part RX to 10 parts water and I will be thinning the Panama as well. CL🍀

Those are some super cool looking plants I have never seen any like that

:welcome:Update: I’m not sure what’s causing this issue but everyday when I open the tent my Chocolate Thai is droopy and now it seems that my Panama is too. But about 10 minutes after I feed them they perk right up. And of course they all were fed their individual portions of @Prescription Blend with the ph @ 6.3-4 + 71degrees for maximum oxygen molecules. I did some pruning on my Panama to clear some of the undergrowth and tried to do some training on my Chocolate Thai but I really need longer stakes. I looked on zon but their prices are crazy expensive for bamboo so I’m making a trip to Wally World this weekend. A pack of 10 36” stakes is 99 cents. So this weekend my Golden Tiger 🐅t will get the training that she’s overdue. I think that’s it for now, I hope everyone is doing good and the same with your grows. Please support the Sponsors and don’t forget to vote. CL🍀 :thanks: :circle-of-love: :circle-of-love: :420:
Edit: I will be doing more pruning on my Panama but I don’t like doing too much at once. CL🍀

Plants are looking great Captain.

Going from my memory :hmmmm: of plant pictures, your Golden Tiger reminds me of Malawi plants I've seen. I've never grown it but I have some old Malawi Gold seeds that I never got around to growing.

It’s kind of strange that the Chocolate Thai and Panama leaves don’t look 👀 very Sativa like. I’m hoping that it’s just because they’re still young. CL🍀
